im bored so im gonna state this fun fact in my idol au for gits and shiggles.

the curtis brothers are half filipino. their father was from manila, and was very proud about his culture. before he died, darry was very close to him. closer than soda and ponyboy ever were. darry would soon develop a love for filipino culture just like his father. although soda and ponyboy just call eachother by their names, darry likes to be called ‘kuya’ for…whatever reason. go off king. when their father died, he stayed educated on his culture even without him in an act to remember the fond moments they shared bonding over it. this is also why his favorite food is a filipino dish (sinigang was also my favorite until i found out that mozzarella sticks exist. my bad) and in the au, he derives his style from modern era filipino street fashion (i did not recognize that aspect in the ‘explaining my AU poorly’ vid, but, trust me, its there.)

anyway, thats my two cents about filipino curtis brothers! their mother is caucasian. idk where though i’ll figure that out.

rin, do you like any other ships in the outsiders that aren’t stevepop?

gonna answer this while i wait for my file to be restored lmao

i like other ships, but stevepop is just miles better than all of them to me.

i like ships like: steve-bit, soda-bit, dal-bit, mar-bit (okay, twobit, what the hell), johnnypop, stally, brandy, and…uh…parry. they dont mean enough for me to draw much of them. i’ve only drawn stevepop.

the only normal ships i dont relatively like are jally and johnnyboy. but i dont care if anyone likes it. why? cause its not my business. (some of you guys in this fandom need to learn minding your business when it comes to normal opinions.)
