Yuri gave me the day off tomorrow. Not sure why though. When I asked, he said that I've been working hard and that I deserved a break. It's nice of him, but it's unusual considering our workload. I suppose I'll take him up on that. I have been feeling a little off lately. Perhaps I'm getting sick again.
#tokyo debunker rp#Yuri knows it's Zenji's birthday#But telling Jiro would just cause him to have another attack#It's more of a way to avoid him interacting with that calendar date than anything#Imagine how many attacks he'd have from having to write it down several times that day#How many reports would get thrown away?#No worries though. Yuri will spoil him proper when he's done for the day.

hi i forgot you existed for like a year :33
That's fine, anon. I tend to keep to myself most of the time, so I have no expectations for others to seek me out. I hope you're doing well. I could examine you if you're in need of medical attention.

Post Chapter 17 (If the show was able to air)
Someone turns on the tv in one of the common rooms. In fact, this was likely happening all over campus. It was a mission after all. It isn't long into the program that Yuri goes to his office. Jiro follows - he knows what's up. Even knowing this was all staged, Yuri was jealous. He didn't like seeing anyone with his Jiro like that. He knew what Jiro would say was hand-fed to him - Jiro told him as much. But he didn't want those barely honeyed words going to someone else. Jiro starts with a light tease, but gets right to the matter. "It was hard not having you there - especially given the show. I don't want to be with anyone else, even if it's just an act. It felt wrong trying to gain the affection of someone other than you. Even if it was just all pretend." But that's when an idea hits him. The assistant always knows how to help his precious doctor. "We should go to a beach resort together. There were many more interesting things than I expected, and I want to enjoy them with you." He of course told Yuri about the creatures he observed and the things he had never seen before, but there was a far more important reason. "I want to make that experience what it should've been all along. I want to know what that premise really feels like - a romantic retreat." The stupid show is completely forgotten - though Yuri probably won't even think to watch the re-runs until after their little vacation. Then he'd have those wonderful memories to compare that performative drivel to.
#tokyo debunker#jiro kirisaki#yuri x jiro#yuri isami#Mun completely intends to write a fic with this#starting from the moment Jiro calls Yuri

Your input has already provided me with some vital information. Your assessment already works against the "weird and freaky" allegations - though I suppose I would need to gather more data on that matter as opinions may vary. People aren't as keen to talk to me, so it would be a great help if you could ask people their opinion on him. In the meantime, I'll do a little more research on the pear shaker. If he's not a pear, I need to see what other uses a pear shaker might have.

Notes: - Ritsu Shinjo is allegedly a "weird and freaky lawyer" (I cannot accurately make a judgment on this as many of my behaviors are apparently "unusual." Will need a second opinion.) - According to the presented statement, "weird and freaky lawyers" go in the "pear shaker" (a device that shakes pears for an as-of-yet unknown reason. Will look into this further). -According to the diagram, pears belong in the "pear shaker." Hypothesis: -"Weird and freaky lawyers" are somehow related to pears. I will require various samples, and possibly a biopsy from several lawyers to test this theory. I will also need to consult with Shinjo about the difference between a Paralegal and a Lawyer - There may be too much of a discrepancy to request he provide samples for this experiment. I will require many pears to compare results with (conditions of fruit often vary, which may skew the results. Best to get a general average). I need to collect more data on what makes a person "weird and freaky" Subsequently, I will need to collect data on what is considered "normal" behavior in lawyers. Finally, I will need to examine the function and purpose of the "pear shaker." (Not even sure if acquiring one is in the budget).

What would your reaction be if Yuri was being chased by an angry goose? (Random question, but today I was chased by a goose and my best friend was just laughing while I ran away, and it occurred to me, what if the same thing happened to Yuri?)
I can see why your friend might've laughed, anon. But I also feel the lack of action was what some would consider to be... How did Rui word it...? Right. A "dick move." Anyway, I can't accurately predict my reaction. I might consider his reaction to be funny, even if I don't want to. I know I would take action though. Most attackers in the non-anomalous animal kingdom can be deterred with some kind of loud noise or making yourself appear bigger. Depending on how Yuri approaches me (if he jumps on me or not), I would remove either him or the goose from the situation. It should be easy for someone like myself to scare a goose. I scare people without meaning to after all. If my larger size doesn't do it, I can make plenty of noise with my artifact.

Adding to this with a small theory.
I feel like he needed to forget quite a few things on order to survive.
I'm starting to think that the amnesia might be medically induced somewhat.
Lemme put it this way: Eternal Sleep Syndrome, in my opinion, is a trauma-induced anomalous disease/disorder.
Jiro's attacks - when not from missing a dose - come from a memory threatening to come forth.
- The ghost child crying for help (could be memories of the youngest brother. It's unclear how he died, but it's clear they all had a rough childhood)
- Seeing the exhibit on Infectious Disease. (I think one of his lines talks about specializing in infectious disease. Parts of his lines/dialogue suggest quite a bit of knowledge in that field. There might've been something in the exhibit itself that triggered a memory)
- Asking him about family (again, probably not the best situation. Either they were gery poor, in an abusive situation, or both. Jiro and Zenji are both quite sheltered and haven't had experiences that most other people would've had by adulthood.)
-seeing Zenji's birthday. (He might've had to forget about his brother altogether as his death might've been the final nail in the coffin so to speak).
After enough traumatic experiences, it's not out of the question for someone to lose their will to live. If you add anomalies to the mix, whose to say there isn't some kind of illness that can only take root in people who are that far gone?
No trauma, no sustinance for the anomalous infection.
What if Yuri was able to wake him up by removing those memories somehow (after fixing the damage done to the body)?
I still hold some of my darker theories, but the confirmed timeline makes room for many more possibilities.

Warning for spoilers as I talk about what's been found in the upcoming chapter of Tokyo Debunker.
*edit: I've also added some of my thoughts on the chapter after playing through it. Gonna give it a couple of days before I give my whole buncha thoughts!
So the contestants...
If they didn't volunteer (which given the list, I highly doubt they did), whoever assigned them is either an idiot or is actively trying to get them killed/imprisoned.
You have:
Jin - the guy who can't get his stigma to work and has some kinda mystery ailment
Haru - The guy that has glass bones and paper skin every time he uses his stigma.
Ren - The guy who couldn't give any less of a fuck if he tried.
Rui - The guy who can kill people just by skin-to-skin contact (and even clothes are iffy).
Ed - The fucking vampire who is weakened/hurt by sunlight and barely gives two fucks about much of anything
Jiro - The guy with the automatic reflective stigma that also has a serious medical condition that can be safely treated by one person - who isn't listed by the way.
I'm sure there's gonna be some bullshit handwaving for the sake of moving the story how they want, but I can't help but put on my tinfoil hat on this.
Mark my words: It's either gonna be something silly ha-ha goofy funny, or a reveal of something sinister happening behind the scenes.
The selected contestants couldn't be more of a disaster if they tried and I'm very interested to see how it pans out.
*post-episode edit*
I'm so glad it was silly shenanigans! 3 of my favorites were on that mission!
I had a feeling it would be a case of an adjusted dose for Jiro, but that's good news that Yuri was able to improve the formula so much in just a few months.
Many shocking reveals this chapter - one of which messes with my timeline headcannon a bit, but I only need to worry about that in the RP server. No big at all! It also gives me more ideas for JiYuri development.
This chapter was fun with a bunch of cute moments!
One more silly note: Jiro loves observing living things, strengthening my silly random headcanon that he loves the capybus!

((I have one simple theory: It's because people see him as a monster.
Everyone else has some kind of animal, but he gets a dinosaur - something that's used in science-gone-wrong series. On top of that, what is arguably the most famous kaiju is basically this.
My fluffier take is that he's really tall and a big science nerd.))
no cuz he's cute and all but WHY is Jiro a dinosaur?... is he gonna end up like them too...??.?.

Mun Needs To Explode For A Moment (in a good way) - Shipping Talk Incoming
We finally have our wedding Yuri!! I love the warding card as a shipper on deck. I've been joking about that tea being for Yuri - and there it is! (I know the settings don't match and it's supposed to be a "They're marrying you" sorta thing, but let me have my fun! xD

Congratulations to the Mortkranken ghouls for their wedding. May they have many happy years of wedded bliss.

He lets out a surprised little "murrr?" as he's lifted - or more accurately, as Yuri stands up. It feels nice being carried around like this. He can hardly see why the campus cats make such a fuss about it. Then again, if it were anyone else, he's be squirming to get free as well. His little eyes squeeze shut as he feels something make contact with his head. As Yuri adjusts... whatever it is, he feels the familiar sensation of something resting on the bridge of his little nose. When he opens his eyes, he can see! Somehow, Yuri had the foresight to get a small pair of glasses. His prescription even! There's truly no doctor more reliable than his Yuri ... bad sense of direction aside... It's difficult in his position, but he reaches a paw out to Yuri, repeating the motion until he gets what he wants - to be close enough to his face to give the tip of his nose a small lick in gratitude.
((The leaked anniversary warding card has inspired me.)) A rather lethargic looking cat makes its way around Mortkranken's halls. Some students try to bend over to pet or pick up the purple-furred creature, only to have their advances rejected as it slinks away. Finding the door to Yuri's office ajar, the cat wanders inside. It makes little noise as it approaches the desk, sitting down in front of it. Its tail swishes as it makes some cat-culations. It jumps, but not high enough. The poor thing scrabbles at the desk, stray papers flying off in its wake, but to no avail. Landing on its feet with a discontented huff, he shakes off his shame (literally). Unable to see far enough away to properly judge the correct distance, the strange cat circles around the desk. A series a soft, low meows act as a cry for help as it seems to search for something. @ask-jiro-kirisaki
For once, Yuri wasn't at his desk. His back sore, he'd reclined on the couch to study his files and somehow found himself stirring from an unexpected unplanned nap some nearly two hours later, jolted by the sound of a cat meowing. He rubbed at his eyes and glanced at the cat. That was a strange cat....it looked very lethargic, too.
"Now cats seek my medical attention, too?" Yuri yawns and inspects his office; papers are now strewn everywhere but the cat remains on the ground. Did it really attempt to jump on his desk? Then again, it only attempted to jump on his desk. He swings his legs back over the edge of the couch and leans forward, beckoning to the cat, "Come here, little thing...." Something must be wrong with the cat. Maybe it did indeed need a medical examination.
#yuri x jiro#Yuri: complaining about the budget#Also Yuri: sparing no expense for Jiro's care#Upon remembering - Yuri once more: How do they expect me to care for my patients properly AND conduct research with this paltry amount??#It says here you bought *inspects closer* glasses for a cat?#Preventative medicine at work! Did you forget most of us turned into cats? What if it happens again?#Only simplistic idiots fail to consider such things!

Jiro cocks his head at the question - although he can't answer, he wants to prove he can understand. A small, raspy mew his only response. The instinct to shower Yuri with affection overwrites his desire to fix the problem. He finds himself head-butting and rubbing anywhere he can reach as he explodes into purrs once more. He would roll around in his lap if he could, but he also enjoys being held by his favorite doctor. Directing him to the lab where the accident occurred? Forgotten. Looking for a way to get smaller glasses? Don't care anymore. He has his favorite person in the whole world. So what if in a haze of fatigue and nausea he accidentally grabbed the wrong vial, and the medicine he was creating immediately turned into a gaseous substance that turned him into a cat? It should wear off eventually - or Yuri will get up and investigate. Then he might remember that it's a problem.

((Love this so much! T.T It seemed like there was a third brother in the mix (currently the doll), so I can easily see Zenji performing for the both of them on a makeshift stage - regaling them with his stories and songs. Perhaps the youngest was far too fragile to join them on any rare outings, but I can see them bringing something back for him.))
Kirisaki brothers HCs & thoughts
I'm thinking too much of them so this is just me word vomiting ಥ╭╮ಥ they're so cute and doomed and AUGHHH im SICK. and this is probably part 1/??? i have a LOT of of thoughts lmfao
I'm gonna be using Zenji's real name and probably spoilers here and there — just a gentle warning!
Jiro calls Taro "nii-san" — Taro always preferred to call him "Jiro-kun" though
Jiro's favorite past time with him is just him sitting nearby with a book to read while Taro plays something and sings/hums a song. Sometimes Taro leans closer to see what Jiro is reading and maybe ask a thing or two (not that he could really understand what Jiro is explaining LOL)
They used to share a room when they were living together / before going to Darkwick
They like making tea together! They like tea parties! Taro likes picking up new flavors when he could, Jiro likes making the tea precisely and methodically like it's an experiment?? Lol, and then Taro wants them to drink the tea like it's a tea ceremony, I think he'd used this opportunity to share his recent poetries too!
They rarely have snacks to go with it tho.. it's a very rare occasion. But when they do, they'd go for Wagashi! Dango, daifuku, taiyaki too. Unfortunately they couldn't buy/have much..
Taro LOVES to play-pretend, especially when his lil brother interacts with his stories — but I don't think they have a lot of toys to play with either.. (´;ω;`) Taro would use whatever he has however! The story must go on!
It seems like they're rarely allowed to go out and have fun outside, but I think they still like to make plans or lists on where they should go together. Taro usually go for theaters plays (traditional and not), art museums, historical landmarks, festivals too (his all time favorite!) Meanwhile Jiro prefers libraries and museums, nature, science and technology.. but I think he'd prioritize on science fairs since they usually pop up once a time. He'd LOVE to wander around and ingest every information there lol
Related to ^ point : I feel like Taro is the type to hold his lil brother's hand just incase he wanders around lmao 😭 my guy is very aware of his surroundings while Jiro is just?? following.. around..
When they were younger, Taro was taller - like Jiro is somewhat around his shoulders. They both have growth spurts but Jiro was much more later on, but it was definitely worth it since he's slightly taller than him now (@_@)
Taro once brought Jiro to sight seeing nature, but Jiro doesn't really get why they're not doing anything in specific. He kinda follows him behind until he sees something that interests him and parts away and Taro is like — "..wouldn't you think so, Ji- wait, Jiro-kun?!?" Taro panics and goes on to search for him, just to find Jiro watching stag beetles fighting in a broken tree trunk..
Now they're both watching the beetle fight intensely LMAOO
Taro is cheering "Go! Go! Go!" and Jiro is silently watching, but he laughs once there's a winner, he actually find it entertaining
I think that's all for today, or else this post might get too long (。ノω\。) lemme know ur thoughts, feel free to add or interact!!!
