Hi, everyone! I’m so sorry I disappeared!

Real life got in the way, I’m afraid; I started working over the break to lessen my inevitable debt, then school started up again, and now I’m going to play rehearsal every day, and I’m trying to stay on top of my assignments so my grades don’t die in a fire come tech week, and I know it doesn’t sound like much, but I’m in the honors college, so there’s a lot of work, not to mention I’m trying to dedicate myself as much as possible to theater, since that’s my major.

I don’t know whether or not I can consistently be here for you guys and still keep my head above water in the outernet, and it’s not fair to you for me to try it and fail again.

Do you guys know of anyone who would want/be willing to take over this blog, so Melitta doesn’t disappear completely?

ALL THE MUSICAL ASKS -Anna again

I think you were supposed to send me a musical to answer for, but that’s okay! I’ll just grab the first one that comes up on my phone.

Musical: Catch Me If You Can!

Song I wish was longer:Like, all of them. But “Jet Set” and “Live in Living Color” are such jams.

Song I wish was shorter:There are surprisingly few to choose from, and they all work at the length they’re already at… the bonus track, “Fifty Checks,” could stand to be shorter I guess?

The one song I always skip:With this one there are two I’ll usually skip, but sometimes listen to. “Doctor’s Orders” makes me a little uncomfortable, so if there are humans within earshot I’ll 100% skip it and if I’m by myself I’ll 95% skip it. And I love “Christmas is My Favorite Time of Year,” but 1) it’s sad and 2) it feels weird to listen to it when it isn’t Christmas.

Song I sing the best:I mean, “Fly, Fly Away” fits my range the best, but Frank’s songs are so much more fun to sing. Plus, I can actually hit most of the notes, since he spends most of his time in the Tenor-So-High-It’s-Basically-Alto-And-Occasionally-Even-Mezzo-Soprano range. If I could hit the low notes at the beginning, “Someone Else’s Skin” would be my best song, I think.

Song I still don’t know all the words to:“Fifty Checks.” It’s the bonus track, and I love the metaphor, but really who’s got time for bonus tracks when the original soundtrack is already so good

Song that honestly deserves an award or five:Like, all of them. A performance award or five should go to “Goodbye” (specifically Aaron Tveit, but any guy who can sing that high gets at least one award in my book), as well as to “The Man Inside the Clues” (I love Norbert Leo Butz, y’all). Seriously, though, all the songs are really catchy and the lyrics are glorious.

Song that’s terrible but I still love:None of the songs are terrible, but the least impactful song that I like is “Stuck Together.” It’s not the most outstanding, but it’s also not bad. I genuinely like it.

Song that’s really good but I hate:See again, I don’t hate any of the songs, but I don’t like “Our Family Tree” quite as much as the rest; it gets a little old after a while.

Song I think could change the world:I mean, “Butter Outta Cream” changed my world. Sort of. It’s got a really good message, and I really like the last few lines: So if lemons clog your sink up / Don’t just stand around and scream / Spike some lemonade and drink up / And make butter outta cream

Song I wish I’d written:“Don’t Break the Rules” is such a jam, man. I wish I’d written the music, I wish I’d written the lyrics, I wish I could sing all the notes, I love it.

I know it’s been said a million times and by a million different people, but I just want to let you know that I’m here for you too, for whatever you need! ❤️❤️❤️

My parents are getting divorced.

Mother told me it’s for the best, and I agree. She doesn’t treat me like dad does. Dad lets abuse happen, dad abuses me. And mom, she doesn’t. Mom will talk to me about Hanschen and she’s the one who takes care of me when I’m ill. I wish it didn’t have to be like this, but it’ll be okay.

Mom told me to pack my stuff. I did. We’re at Oma’s house right now: Momma, Walter, Marie, and I. Dad is with the older two at home. I think, i think that this is for the best. We’ll all be happier like this. Fred is still in town, but momma told me i never have to see him again if i don’t want too.

Of course they have to do the legal stuff, and I might have to talk about what’s happened, but I don’t care about that. I don’t want my dad in jail, I just want to be happy, for all of us to be happy. And I think that this is a step in the right direction for all of us to be.

((I usually like to arrange stuff with established-relationship plot points, e.g. I confirmed with Hanschen’s mod that Hanschen & Melitta are siblings, and Bobby’s mod and I talk about what happens in Melitta and Bobby’s relationship. Whole-group plot points, or points that don’t directly involve Melitta, like the most recent things to happen to Martha and Ernst, I just kind of wing. I’m a bad example there, bc I often show up late to the party due to real life’s habit of getting in the way))

Hey! This is a question to the owner of the blog not georg so you don’t have to publish it if you don’t want. I️ was just wondering how to these blogs work? Do you guys discuss what will happen outside of what you post and then do it? Or does one person just post something and everyone else goes along? Im just really curious lol. Thanks!

((Sometimes we do, sometimes we don’t. The major “plot points” are often planned by at least a few of us. Sometimes, though, one of us just posts and the rest of us go along with it. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but we’ve sort of thrown continuity out the window since we all started interacting with each other. It’s definitely a lot more fun this way, though. Other ask blog people- anything to add?))
