Dream sans in the context of Moltiverse. The clothes will probably change before i finalize anything but i wanted green and yellow without making it a typical design. Also wanted it to be colorblind friendly, though im unsure if i achieved that since i only checked it on greyscale. I don’t quite like the colors beyond the green and gold but i am bad at color palettes atm

Thoughts behind specific choices under the cut

The pink triangles under the eye - representative of the sun, without blending into skin/bone or looking bad.

The staff is supposed to be taller whoops

The two-part coak - his cloak was torn in half by Nightmare many centuries ago, when they were still at war. He had it sewn into a better state and uses the part you’d normally toss as an accessory tied to his belt.

Golden bracelets (only one shown so the sleeve is also visible) - Heirloom from their mother, he almost never takes them off. He had a necklace as well, but it was lost in a battle long-since passed.

The ram mask - An animal symbolic of him, made into a mask by his mother in order to conceal his true appearance from mortals during the days when gods and guardians were far more sacred. He is the only god or guardian who still values and wears his mask as much as he can, even those whose masks he had to make once his mother fell.

Also, im close to finished with Dream's design, i just gotta figure out what kind of accents to add! He may appear in the next few days

Still trying to think of how to characterize ink... the main 4 guardians are gonna be a bit different personality wise than we're used to because this version of the multiverse is way different from most interpretations. Different plot and lore points relevant to this problem under the cut

takes place about 2,000 in-universe years after Dream was petrified and 1,500 after he got free. dream and nightmare do not fight anymore due to the impact it had on the multiverse about 1,000 years ago.

There are so many aus that ink and error can't keep up with maintaining the balance on their own. Ink and Dream put pressure on error to build at least one team that can help speed up and expedite the process as he can't be in all the aus that need destructive maintenance or erasure in its entirety all at once.

Ink has also started to see the results of not finding people to help him, but he is far more hesitant than he normally would be, as this version of ink is slowly starting to uncover the feelings he had in his past. He is also far less eager to get help because while Error was practical about it and knew he wouldn't be able to keep up with demand, Ink doesn't really recognize the issue like that. Error knew the multiverse would get more unstable and volatile without him getting others to expedite his job with him, but Ink doesn't see it that way. At the core of it, he's always been able to help creators on his own. Why is it different now?

Ink DOES have an apprentice at one point, but they're not an apprentice in regards to his job. He's just helping them learn how to manage their life now that they don't feel most emotions naturally. It's a bit deeper than that, but i'll save that explanation for the actual series said apprentice is a protagonist in.

Ram head barely won, honestly i agree but i wanted to see what everyone else thought first bc the skull was done first and it had effort

horror and killer but they’re underweight due to horror starving for 7 years and coming out of that with an eating disorder, and killer being incapable of figuring out when his body needs to eat and just Not doing that when he needs to

and then there’s dust who eats more than he did as sans because as long as it makes him forget he wants to kill himself he will eat whatever the hell he’s given as a distraction. everything is a distraction to him. and i think that’s fun

it’s okay killer and horror gain weight eventually once horror figures out how to not throw it all up and killer is pressured into a normal eating cycle don’t worry
