“LOVE.” by Kendrick Lamar is probably my song of the year and I’ve been listening to this awesome cover of it a bunch this week. I think this lyric is beautiful and a sentiment you don’t hear enough of in love songs. That half the song is Kendrick talking about how much he loves his relationship with his fiance, but then the other half is him worrying that “If I wasn’t X/Y/Z/, would you still love me?”  Then I interpret this line as a response to those doubts between both partners. That beyond physical affection, love involves putting yourself completely out there and trusting that your partner wants you as you are.  And that whole train of thought made me think of one of my favorite TumblrPone relationships: the wonderful @scisetdaily / @adger ! Particularly their last story arc, An Ace of Hearts, which explored similar issues of trust and doubt.  Plus I want to draw more ships this month and I figure SciSet is a great one to start with! <3 “Don’t got you, I got nothin’, Ay, I got somethin’ Hold up, we gon’ function. No assumptions.”

#Inktober Day 3 - The Mare in the Moon Happy 7th birthday, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic I've made a lot of good friends through you, been inspired to create a lot of fun art because of you and been glad to see young boys and girls rocking Rainbow Dash shirts and hoping they're picking up lessons that the rest of us "grown-ups" could be reminded of once in a while. The Fastest in the Pridelands

Taking part in #Inktober, an online art challenge to draw and ink one drawing a day. Don't think I have the speed to do one a day, but aiming to do at least one a week!

Also, I'm planning to just do them black and white since it's interesting to plan out lines when you don't have color to mark stuff out like eyes and textures. But I couldn't resist slapping some color on Fuli here!

Really happy with how this one turned out and had fun experimenting with the above/below water hair effects! Some fan art of Homura from Madoka Magica. Poor Homura, always barely keeping her head above water. Going to have to draw some Happy Homura next to balance this out!

Rewatching Tenchi Muyo. Still love Ryoko and think the voice acting for her is some of my favorite for any dubbed anime. Sorry, Rey, only room for one lightsaber-wielding femme fatale in my heart!

Randomly felt like drawing my favorite anime girl: Washu from the Tenchi series AKA the greatest scientist in the UNIVERSE~! Also, at the risk of sounding Napoleon-Dynamite-ish, really happy with how the shading turned out with her headband! ^___^
