How do you guys like the new uniforms?
Geordi: I didn't have any problems the first time we got a new design, or rather, the design that we first saw on the Deep Space Nine crew. The jumpsuit style took a little getting used to, but overall it was fine.
Data: I agree. In regard to these newer uniforms, with the grey shoulders, they do feel more practical and able to withstand harsher wear and tear.
Geordi: Yeah... but whoever decided on these couldn't keep the department color on the outside? I have an entire yellow shirt underneath all the black and grey, but you can only see it at the collar.
Data: Do not forgot the stripe of color on the sleeve. But yes, it does seem a waste of color in the design.
Geordi: *Laughs.* The artist speaks and agrees with me.

Data: what's the weirdest place you've ever been to?
Geordi: what's the most intriguing fact you know?
Both: what are the last five things you asked a computer?
Data: Weird, as in unusual or strange in a particularly notable manner? In my time with Starfleet, I have been to many such places.
Geordi: Part of the job, isn't it? *Chuckles.* Apparently especially if you're on the flagship.
Data: *Nods.* Perhaps Manheim's laboratory on Vandor Four, where I was briefly time-duplicated and time-shifted. Also, my time in 1893 San Fransisco was a strange experience. While not weird to the inhabitants, their society was for me. I expect those I interacted with had similar thoughts about me being weird to them.
Geordi: Can't disagree with either of those. The most intriguing fact I know, huh? Hm... Maybe... just how fast even going just warp five is. Even if that seems slow since we can go even faster, it's ridiculous considering how big the galaxy is and how quickly we can cross the distances.
Data: Yes, relative speeds and times in space travel are interesting. For your final question, three of the last five things I asked a computer are classified. The two others were to play the collected piano works of the musician Kayla Ogo, and if there is a way to modify my biolubricant to be more efficient.
Geordi: Now that you bring it up, I'm curious, too. Alright... Five things that are not classified. How to train a cat.
Data: Geordi, we have discussed that previously.
Geordi: Yeah, and she still could use some. Continuing on... pictures of all Earth flowers that are mostly colored pink. I was in a sappy romantic mood. Recommendations for new guitar-based music. What the weather is like in Mogadishu. And... for it to play the audio version of the first few chapters of a book to me.

Hi Data! Hi Geordie! I have a question for each of you.
I know you can't swim Data, but is there any way for you to take a bath?
Geordi, do you enjoy baths at all?
I know a sonic shower is quick and easy, but a bath really helps me relax, especially with a migraine.
Geordi: *Chuckles* The Data can't swim thing was a surprise when we went to Devala Lake. Hm... I wonder why that never came up for you before?
Data: I do not know. In the moment when I dived off the boat, it was simply curiosity to attempt to swim. I did not expect to immediately sink to the bottom and have to walk back to shore. To answer the question, I have no problems in shallow bodies of water, as long as I do not submerge deeply enough for my head to go under the surface. In the events where I get dirty, I have taken both sonic and water showers. I have attempted water baths, but I find I do not prefer it.
Geordi: Water showers are nice. I do enjoy a good real bath on occasion, particularly after something physically trying. You're right in that they're relaxing for me, too.
Data: With my observations of Geordi, I agree that they do help him relax.
Geordi: Hey, you've done more than just observe sometimes. *Giggles* But we'll leave it at that.

Have you ever gotten frisky while playing in the Sherlock Holmes program?
Geordi: No... no comment.
Data: While I see no negative effect if we said yes, perhaps it is a private matter.
Geordi: *Giggles loudly.*

How hard is it to not hold hands or something while you're working together?
Geordi: *Raises his eyebrows.* Are you implying we can't keep it perfectly professional while on duty? *Chuckles.* It's not that hard.
Data: *Furrows his brow and frowns slightly.* But, Geordi, there have been several instances when we have not been... entirely professional in regard to physical affection. Including kissing in a shuttle after returning from a mission, in the Observation Lounge after a meeting, in the-"
Geordi: *Rubs his head with an embarrassed smile.* Yeah, but not all the time. Definitely not enough to say its hard not to.
Data: I understand the question. While I would like to do more physical affection with him while we are working together, it is not difficult to resist.
Geordi: Exactly. Perfectly professional.

Did Data put any snoring into his sleep program?
Data: No, I did not incorporate snoring into my sleep program.
Geordi: He's pretty quiet.
Data: I do not need it, and since I would be asleep, I do not see the point in purposely doing so. Also, I based much of the sleep program's parameters on Geordi's sleep rhythms and actions.
Geordi: You did?
Data: Yes. Firstly, i have had the most opportunity to observe yours. Secondly, I did not want to do anything too contrasting that might disturb your sleep.
Geordi: Aww, thanks. So that means I don't snore?
Data: At the sound and frequency levels that are often deemed as disruptive, no.

Hey, Data, I hope your head that spent 500 years sitting in some cave is working fine? That has to be weird with part of your body being that much older than the rest of it.
Data: I appreciate your concern, but it is not necessary. There was no degradation of function during the time it was in the cave. I may have found it... disconcerting to know it had spent four-hundred-seventy-five years in that state. Geordi and I did perform a multitude of tests to be certain it works to full capabilities and within expected parameters. There has been no indication proving otherwise. As result, we now know that my body, or at least this part of it, can withstand the test of time if left undisturbed, even if not in the most ideal location.

Hi, Geordi. How do you feel about Data going to sleep in his uniform?
Geordi: I thought it was kind of funny and cute, but I did insist he sleeps in pajamas when he spends the night with me. The uniform isn't the softest and most comfortable thing for cuddling. I also think he looks cuter in the pajama style he chose. He didn't have any problems with my request.

Did you experience any prejudice in Starfleet because of your visor, Geordi?
Geordi: Yeah, sometimes once people understood what it was for, they'd make jokes and comments about the blind guy flying the shuttle and everything physical that goes with Starfleet training. Someone tried to "prank" me by taking it, once. But no one tried to outright hurt me. I would still get looks, of course, after the Academy. Maybe a few people commenting behind my back. Nothing I wasn't already expecting.
Data: I am relieved that Geordi's experiences due to his differences were not as negative as mine.

Does Data often deal with prejudice from others on the ship, or from others in general due to his being an android?
Geordi: Yeah... yeah he does have to still, on occasion. Definitely did before the Enterprise. It's not nearly as bad now, of course, but some people when we started out on this ship did have some problems with him. New crew might take a little time warming up to him. No one has done anything drastic to him on the Enterprise, but the occasional looks and comments... that sort of thing.
Data: I was certainly... bullied before being posted to this ship. While I have no evidence for this claim, I believe that Geordi's pre-existing friendship with me before we were assigned to the Enterprise may have helped others here to treat me with respect. My integration into the crew and willingness from the others to engage with me in this way is vastly improved over the Trieste and my other Starfleet postings.
Geordi: What, like seeing me with you made them decide to give you more of a chance?
Data: Yes. You provided an example for them to take inspiration from.
Geordi: Well, I'm glad for it, because you deserve it. Because based on everything you told me about before we met? *Shudders.* That kind of stuff better not happen again, from anyone. And definitely not from anyone wearing this uniform.

In relation to experimenting with you hair, Data, have you ever thought about changing other aspects of your appearance, like your eye color? It seems to me that you could modify yourself like that if you wanted.
Data: I would be able to modify certain aspects of my appearance, if I wanted. Although, other than the brief experimentation with my hair and facial hair, I have little desire to change how I look. This is how my physical appearance was created to be, and I see no reason to change it. Geordi has not expressed any desire to see me change anything about my appearance, either.

what's Data's most interesting or strangest feature?
Geordi: He has a lot of interesting features. I suppose you could say a lot of the interesting features we all as sentient beings have. A strange one... I'll say something that might sound mundane. The inability to say contractions is odd. I find it cute, but interesting since he can say them if he's quoting something. When he's speaking as himself, he can't. It's always a little jarring when he does it while acting.

how much experimenting have you done with you hairstyle, data?
Data: If you are referring to when I briefly tried out a beard similar to Commander Riker's, that is the extent of my hair style experimentation. My current style is sufficient. I have no desire to radically change it.
Geordi: He'll sometimes let it be more relaxed when we're on shore leave or something, but he hasn't tried out anything really different. *Chuckles.* That beard was certainly a bold look, though.

what did you two think of Doctor Bashir when he visited the Enterprise?
Data: While his method of coming onboard was not entirely proper, his reason was compelling enough for me to decide to help him with his investigation into a device from the Gamma Quadrant.
Geordi: And rope me into it, as well. Sneaking onboard and hooking up something he knew nothing about is certainly an impression. Very bold of him. I'll admit I was scared when the initial accident with it happened, but I wasn't angry at him for it. I definitely can't be now, considering the development it led to for Data.
Data: I am grateful that his presence led to the activation of my dream program. Doctor Bashir and I spent many hours together before the Enterprise departed Deep Space Nine. My impression of him is that he is curious, adventurous, very intelligent, and kind.
Geordi: Yeah, they've become quite the friends. They regularly call, working on projects together. I've joined in on a few of those. He's brilliant, that one.

You're both so cute! I want to boop your noses!
Data: I appreciate the compliment. But you want to boop our noses?
Geordi: Yeah, you know, like this. *Taps Data's nose with his finger.*
Data: Oh, yes. *Does it to Geordi.*
Geordi: Well, you got to see us do it to each other. and thanks for saying we're cute.

Greetings! I hope your day has gone well thus far, and a quick question for both the Lt Commanders. Have you two ever had a Holmsian-Style Holodeck adventure that you just couldn't crack? (If not, one that was exceptionally difficult perhaps?)
Geordi: We've had a few that certainly took some effort to crack. How long did it take us that one time? Four sessions?
Data: If you are referring to the case that ended with the visiting dignitary from France as the perpetrator and involved three imposters taking the blame for the crime, that took us three full holodeck sessions, and three-fourths of the fourth session to completely solve.
Geordi: Yeah, that one. None have completely stumped us so far. *Chuckles*. I wonder if that's possible for the computer to make a story that would stump Data.
Data: I also ponder what set of circumstances would have to be met in order it to give us a case we cannot solve.

what's the best gift you've gotten from each other?
Data: *Thinks for a moment.* Can friendship be considered a gift in and of itself?
Geordi: Wow, going to hit me with that right away, huh? In that case, that also applies to me. But if we're talking about objects as gifts... a crystal he got me from a cave on Mekanoa Two. The way it resonates in one of my visor filters is absolutely stunning.
Data: It is good that you appreciate it. I do not know, of the objects he has given me, which I would categorize as "best".
Geordi: Hm... You wanted to give me your Holmes pipe back when we thought you had to leave because of Maddox. That must've been special to you. It might not actually be anything special, but it means something special.
Data: If I am judging on sentimental value... *Nods.* Then I will give that as my answer.
