“Krokt.” Domri cussed to himself, peering through a brush. Maybe hastily hiding behind a bush half his size wasn’t the best idea.
He wasn’t really sure where he landed, or who that stranger was, after all, he just got here. That was the fun of it, this world-hopping thing, complete freedom to go wherever, whenever.
The young beastmaster wiggled his toes between the dewy grass in hesitation. Taking a closer look at the individual through the leaves, he could see they weren’t human. Reptilian, four arms, and looked almost like if Sabast was a snake.
The boy stood, treading around the foliage, stopping behind the character. “All right, you caught me! What the krokt are you anyways?” Domri blurted, almost totally regretting it. Introductions weren’t his strong point.
“Err...I mean...” the planeswalker paused, averting his eyes , “Hey...”
Shuichi was on his self-appointed day off from teaching. Even though he still had the same enthusiasm for it, he was finding it difficult to every day with his advanced age. He shuffled through the Sakura-Tribe village, acknowledging passerby with slight bows. Two of his students stopped to bow deeply, and after returning the courtesy, the elder encouraged them to spend their free time elsewhere.
Arriving at the outskirts of the village, Shuichi sat on a large stone by a creek. He found this spot particularly calming, and closed his eyes, taking in the sounds of the forest around him.
The elder did not keep track of time during his meditations, but he was pulled out of of his near-trance. There was someone nearby. “Hello?” called Shuichi. “I can tell you’re there. Jukai does not speak subtly when there is a stranger about.”
