// Couple of quick notes:
1) I’m going to be moving this blog in the near future! (Probably sometime over the weekend.) Shirou’s going to become his own blog, because being a sideblog is exhausting and he deserves better. This will come with a change in URL, to be announced.
2) I am seriously so sorry for dropping the ball entirely on those drawing prompts a while back. I thought I would have the time and I just... didn’t. I may try to crank those out eventually, since I did get far enough that I was able to make a base, but who the heck knows. Sincerest apologies to @a-former-spellthief, @ladybuvelle (whom I inexplicably can’t tag??), and @thedanceofblades. Mea culpa.
3.) Thank you to everyone who sent the poor death priest your porn yesterday. That was a fun ride.

Shirou closes (and locks) the now officially-christened Drawer of Shame. Perhaps one day its contents will see the light of day again, but that’s quite unlikely.
For now, he prepares a meal, despite how terribly tempting it is to just go back to bed and start the day over.

Shirou balks at the page for a solid twenty seconds. First at the names in question–gods, he’s only met the man once and the most he thought of him was that he looked a bit like a turtle–and then, because curiosity is a terrible thing, at the page beyond.
The writer really wastes no time, do they? All pretense of Shirou taking any sort of lead is summarily tossed out the proverbial window, along with any shred of dignity the textual priest may have had.
It reads exactly like the five-copper romances Shirou occasionally sees on shop carts on the mainland, complete with overly verbose exclamations of bliss and… eugh, euphemisms. He may never look at his vegetables the same way ever again.
He thinks, perhaps, that he might make some soup on that lovely fire right about now.

Another that goes directly into the drawer without getting so much as a second glace. Shirou, apparently, has a line that he will not cross; that line is the leaders of his nation and his patron gods.

Shirou/Xin Zhao?
—torment the death priest [ accepting ]
This one is… this one is actually quite nice. It’s a slow build, with something distantly resembling plot, and–gods, Shirou hadn’t even realized he’d been on the receiving end of everyone’s fictional attentions until the one instance in which he wasn’t. Granted, it’s a little odd to think about being with Xin Zhao in that way, but he at least mostly doesn’t feel like his skin is about to burn off while he reads it.
There’s some business about the whole affair being some sort of catharsis for them both, but Shirou is too distracted by how normal and pleasant everything else is to really think about that. Heavens, they even have an entire conversation before the textual priest bids the textual seneschal to bed, and when the actual… bedding occurs it’s very gentle and respectful and Shirou can almost forget that he knows the man he’s being written with.
That one gets tucked away at the bottom of the drawer, just in case Xin Zhao spontaneously comes to visit. He’d really rather not explain why he kept this one.

FF+ Katarina + Yasuo because why the fuck not that's why
—torment the death priest [ accepting ]
. . .
Oh.
Shirou would be lying if he said he’d never considered this sort of a liaison, but--certainly in a much different context, and absolutely with very different people. Not that Katarina isn’t good company, whatever she might have to say on the matter, but he just does not think that bedding the two of them simultaneously is a good idea.
For one thing, there’s the issue of one of the parties in question being a wanted criminal. For another--and this is, admittedly, a much smaller problem--Shirou knows Katarina well enough to know that were he in the middle of such an affair, he would hardly be getting this much, ah... attention.
Frankly, though, it isn’t really attention he much cares for. It’s much too pointy for his tastes. Into the drawer it goes.

It only takes reading the header to get Shirou flustered again, and he knows that he really shouldn’t look at this one, but he’s curious.
He’s… also fairly certain that Caitlyn wouldn’t be inclined to use police cuffs that way. Or keep her hat on. Shirou knows for a fact that she’s far too considerate to try and yank him about by his own pendant.
That really doesn’t stop him from dwelling on it all well after he’s put it into the drawer. And it certainly won’t stop him from dwelling on it the next time they meet, and oh dear. This is–this is quite problematic.

Nooooooo no no no no no no. One of them is bad enough. Gods, either one of them is bad enough, but both, simultaneously, and--eugh. Shirou knows himself, and he knows that his body could never withstand any of... of that. Certainly not without a great deal of--he isn’t going to think about this. He just isn’t.
The fire is starting to look quite appealing.

Oh thank gods. Someone he--Shirou isn’t going to let that thought finish, because it’s just impolite.
He’s... reasonably sure that Lux’s magic doesn’t quite work that way. Or, if it did, that she wouldn’t put it to use in this sort of an application. Not that he’s about to ask, because that would be even more impolite than the thoughts he’s most certainly not entertaining at the moment because it’s rude.
Shirou thinks that it’s probably a good idea to put that one aside and take a few minutes to meditate. Yes, yes that’s for the best.

...Shirou is fairly certain this counts as some sort of sacrilege. He makes it less than a paragraph and a half--that isn’t what His teeth do--before he decides that this one should go in a different pile altogether.
It may be warm outside, but he thinks that perhaps he should start a fire. For reasons.

—torment the death priest [ accepting ]
Oh. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear. The blush creeps right back up again, spreading from his neck to his forehead. Morbid curiosity wins the day, and Shirou turns the cover page over.
This one is certainly--well, it’s something. The author has quite a few ideas about Jax’s people and their biology. Ideas that Shirou has no plans to acquire confirmation of, even though gods know he’ll be having intrusive thoughts about the words on these pages the next time he and Jax meet.
It’s nice, at least. Nothing outlandish, save for the... anatomy, and the Jax on the page seems pleasantly similar in spirit to the Jax that Shirou actually knows.
He takes a moment to clear his head after he puts that one in the drawer with the others. Who sends these things?
