Mick, mick mick mick, y’know how am is extremely capable of altering the physical appearance of humans (Well, of course you do, Benny is right there). I was wondering if AM has ever taunted the rest of you with a similar fate, I’d say in 109 years more it might bring him some entertainment. (Sick as that sounds)

He did increase my sensitivity to scent and temperature for about three months once. That wasn't the greatest, considering how my cage is. But we can go into that some other time.

Hi Mick. Love your blog so far. In a post you mentioned you may have Stockholm syndrome towards AM.

Stockholm syndrome is a theory that attempts to explain why hostages and victims of abuse may develop a psychological connection with their captors or abusers. It's considered an unconscious response to trauma, and can be a defense mechanism against stress.

I'd love it if you could explain what symptoms you have that make you assume this diagnosis. Also, what other diagnoses affect you from your past and current lives. Thank you.

Well, I just don't think there's any way I can describe my feelings toward AM in any other sense. I feel love and care for him in a way that I know is certainly unhealthy? Anytime I hear any of the others, like Ted or Gorrister, call AM sick or twisted or something of the sort, I feel nothing but the urge to defend his behavior. I know it's wrong deep down, but I can't help it.

I never do defend it, though. Survival isn't guaranteed if I do. If I tried to say something like that to one of them? They'd probably shun me, tell me I'm wrong, maybe try to hurt me. Living is a priority for me. I don't want to die. I want to stay right where I am..

It's not like I have the power to leave this place anyway, not that I'd want to. I feel sick at the thought of leaving. What do I have if not AM? Nothing. I have absolutely nothing, that's what. But I don't want to get all angry and upset right now so..

Other mental issues? Anxiety, probably some variation of bipolar disorder...I don't know I'm not a god forsaken psychiatrist! I don't know! :("

"Before I answer this question, I want to mention that I know my emotions are very wrong and probably stem from whatever mental problems I've gained over the 109 years I've been here..

I love him in an odd way. It's probably a stockholm situation thing, but I've come to accept that. I don't expect any of the others to love him or something, but I can't help but feel how I do. Sometimes, he calls the others and I little petnames, and it makes me melt as disturbing as that is.

I think his voice is so comforting, even when he uses that menacing and cold tone. I think he knows how I feel, and I think that he is disturbed by it. I don't expect him to feel the same way EVER, though. I see this place I'm in as a second chance of life, I suppose. And I almost find it a blessing that I'm here, as disturbing and unfortunate as that is.

To put it short, I really do like him in some odd and twisted way. Let's keep this under wraps, shall we? It's really not something I'm proud of..."

"My problem with Ted? Or "beef" as you put it...

He's horrible. He's cocky and constantly thinks he's the smartest person in the room- Don't even get me started on how he's CONVINCED he's the only one not affected by AM. He treats Benny like dirt, treats poor Ellen even worse..

We're all insane. We're all affected. But he thinks he's so high and mighty. Of course, I'm the last person who should be talking about stability, but god damn does he frustrate me. If I could kill him? I would. But I won't because of AM. That's a whole other can of worms, though.

Sorry for the rant it's just.. Ted disgusts me in ways that nobody else could manage to. I want to see him burn to the ground. But let's keep that between us, okay?

Though, I also like Benny a lot. The others only see him as a loud animal, and I can understand why, but he can be a sweetheart. I like it when he wears himself out and asks to hear stories.

I have no opinion of Gorrister or Nimdok, or at least have very neutral opinions of them. Though, I'd much prefer to be around Gorrister than Nimdok.

I do not like Ted.

In conclusion, Ellen or Benny are good contenders! I like them a lot :)"

Mick is a sixth survivor in the core of AM. He isn't fully stable, so don't expect reasonable thoughts and opinions from him.

Some bare minimum additional info (Yall can ask for the rest 😈):

Mick is a sweet guy, but he isn't exactly all the way there mentally. He's not too proud of his life before AM and considers his current situation a second chance of life. He has rather emotionally masochistic tendencies (which may or may not have spawned from being altered by AM? He's not too sure about that one.)
