Asriel lifeless grey eyes look to the hand that they had extended keeping himself as much as he could as he had kept listening to the rest of Chara’s words…

Once they were done through the boss monster clenched his fangs.  He knows full well what would happen if he was to accept Chara’s offer. They fooled him once when they first did the plan. Saving the underground was a cover-up to kill all of those humans. He was sure that this time wasn’t any different besides the scale of their killing spree that would take place in the surface.

Soon a growl was let out as an ember flew past Chara’s head, hitting the table in the living room and causing light to illuminate the area slightly.

��Don’t give me that! I learn from the first time of your sweet lies. You will kill not just the humans of that village but all of humanity. If I have to go through this endlessly then I will simply to do just that until you give up on whatever goal you seek to achieve. I will make sure everyone will have a happy ending even if you and I do not get such luxury! I will take any and all pain to accomplish my own goal. The monsters trapped down here will have the happy ending that they hope and dream for. One day, I swear.”

Ah, that ember again. Here goes one of his many futile attempts in threatening them. It was long since pain has held any semblance to Chara so they lacked any sort of reaction. Yet, it made the room somehow even more ominous and darker looking than before, with light illuminating faintly behind them.

"...Hm. How curious..."

Chara was visibly disappointed again. They've retracted their hands to cross their arms and shook their head.

"...You speak of wanting peace, yet you've bought upon destruction to your own kind by your own two hands? I reckon it's inappropriate for you to talk about giving those you caused numerous suffering a happy ending. You are no more morally superior than I, Asriel."

Sooner after they were done talking, the ember went out and Chara's presence vanished right before Asriel's eyes. Everything went dark and silent again until a creeping knife came up to his neck. They were planning to kill him and force a LOAD, rather quickly.

"...Then, we are done talking."

“Let me answer your question with another question-”

They paused, with an ever-familiar sharp-toothed mischevious smile on their face as they extended a hand for the offer.

“-will you be willing to let me take full control?”

Despite Asriel’s attempts, the only way he would get the answers to the questions he asked is if he agreed to their plan. Chara had proposed the same thing in many past timelines. This isn’t the first nor will it be the last time they do this.

“I could let the events happen normally. All of this needless killing will come to an end and I could show you exactly the answers you seek if you accept to hand me all control. It’s your choice, Asriel. Do you want to be freed from all this pain and doubt... or will you continue your endless torture?”

“Finally.”

That was their first thought. Finally, they’ve made sure every monster in the underground was nothing but dust before their knife. It took a long time to achieve that alone, even with near-infinite power.

They’ve done this over, and over, and over. Every timeline Asriel would wake up from one nightmare from another. And the scenario repeats, over, and over, and over.

Chara made plans to never stop. They wanted Asriel to see all of this, the death of his parents, the death of all the people he ever knew and loved. They wanted Asriel to remember these loving memories as nothing but dust. They had just the right idea of how.

It was necessary for what Chara had in store, after all.

“Finally.”

That was their first thought. Finally, they’ve made sure every monster in the underground was nothing but dust before their knife. It took a long time to achieve that alone, even with near-infinite power.

They’ve done this over, and over, and over. Every timeline Asriel would wake up from one nightmare from another. And the scenario repeats, over, and over, and over.

Chara made plans to never stop. They wanted Asriel to see all of this, the death of his parents, the death of all the people he ever knew and loved. They wanted Asriel to remember these loving memories as nothing but dust. They had just the right idea of how.

It was necessary for what Chara had in store, after all.

This time, they wanted to give him a little greeting. It seemed like it was the right time to talk to Asriel again properly. Perhaps he changed his mind from last time, so they set up a little “game” where they could follow their trail. Much like an invitation.

Even for a boss monster, Asriel couldn’t feel Chara’s presence. They could be anywhere at any time and you could only tell by the cues they left that they were there.

The dust trails, the music box, the notes, silence, and utter darkness. In fact, it was pitch dark, as if Chara ominously had something to do with it.

And of course, he was going to follow them. He had no choice but to, after all. This timeline was unsalvageable and Chara made sure it was.

The moment Asriel stepped inside the kitchen, they knew they had gone through everything so obediently. The candle went out and he slowly turned around only to be greeted by their bright, crimson eyes that seemed so pleased that he followed through.

     “Chara, did you have fun with your idiotic games? Getting bored of killing to the point you have to go to these lengths for fun?”

And so, a particular question was asked from him. Chara found it odd how that was his first question. Eager to satisfy his curiosity, they answered:

“What are you talking about, Asriel... You think I was doing this for fun like how you were?” They let out a chuckle. They knew that Asriel was comparing to the time they told him HE got bored of killing everyone. How funny that was.

“You couldn’t be furthest from the truth. This only brings me closer to my goals. To what I want.”

You seem like you could be a more effective killer than Chara, you have a seductive/suave personality which could easily get your victim in close, while Chara is just blunt
