the challenge request form for the giant rank has been updated to reflect the changes made during the policy update earlier this year! we apologize for the delay, and in the near future we plan on adding some additional resources such as some example challenges, as we're aware not everyone trying to rank up may have an idea of what they're normally like.

good afternoon, isolans!

we're coming in with a small post on the galaxy blog with a few exciting updates to note! to start, we have a completely new sideblog known as isolamarketplace that now hosts all our marketplace items. it comes with a whole new theme for navigating, too! as this page is mostly to display in a more concise fashion what's being sold, we still ask that you please send in any requests you have from there through askthegalaxy, all which are linked at the top of the page.

secondly, we once again have seasonal items in the shop! we apologize for not having any during the months of october or december, but throughout the entire month of february you'll be able to purchase valentine's day goodies! that being said, we hope that you enjoy the returning seasonal items!

AS A SMALL REMINDER: seasonal items are allowed to be gifted to one another, though the rest of the marketplace can only be purchased for yourself. thank you!

Just a quick reminder that the unlock claim period for the Choose Your Own Rerun even ends at 11:59:59PM on Monday, January 27th! Any unlock claims sent after that point will not be processed, so that means this is effectively the final weekend to write the 300 words necessary (in threads that have already been started) to claim your reward.

We're dropping by with another post here from the galaxy to let you all know that there's been additions to The Marketplace. Much like the month of December, this is specifically in the SEASONAL department for some extra lil goodies for some Stars that you've gotten over your stay. These will be available from February until the very end of March for the theme of Valentines Day and White Day respectfully.

We hope that some of these goodies are something you can enjoy or have a nice time with. Otherwise, we'll see you next seasonal update when one comes around!

Hello, Isolans!

We're here to let you all know that there's been a few additions in The Marketplace, specifically in the SEASONAL department. For the remaining month of December, you'll be able to buy these items and will get to keep them even after they leave the shop, so be sure to get them while they're up and able to be purchased!

We'll be doing our best to be adding in more seasonal items beyond just winter going forward, too, so please look forward to these little messages periodically. Either way, we hope you enjoy the goodies!

Those who participated in Data Corrupt are now able to claim their event unlocks! Please send an ask to the Galaxy Blog (this one!) with a link to where we can find your event participation and with what you'd like to unlock! You have until 11:59:59PM on Monday, September 18th to get them in!

There was some confusion during the last time we did event unlocks however, so we'd like to just clarify a couple of things so you're aware when sending your requests:

We typically don't completely uncap abilities until your character has reached hypergiant. You're free to continue to add more to its strength or duration, but if you already have that ability at a lengthy enough duration for your tastes we suggest just spending that unlock on something else if you can!

We also advise against asking for the strongest ability in your character's arsenal if they have other things that can be unlocked first. The stronger something is the harsher it will be nerfed, so asking for a power that could say, level chunks of the city, will be much more harshly nerfed than something that isn't that strong. Even putting another unlock into increasing its power will only increase its power slightly.

If you'd like to raise the limits on something you already have uncapped and both its strength and duration are nerfed, please let us know which aspect you'd like buffed! This will help cut down on the number of back and forths we need to do!

Gooooooooood morning, Isolans!

To improve the process of requesting a house, we've decided to scratch the housing form, and to use the Galaxy Blog inbox for all housing requests going forward. We will no longer be accepting any housing requests that come in through the google form, so do NOT use that anymore!

Instead, a couple new forms have been added to the Galaxy Blog's forms page. To request a house or a move, please fill out the respective forms and put them in the Galaxy Box! A sample of those forms can be found below the read-more on this post. We hope this makes things go faster and easier for everyone involved!

To request a move from one housing to another: Name: URL: Previous housing: New Housing:

Note: As long as your character has reached Dwarf Rank, they can move to any existing location they choose, including into another character's personal housing.

To request personal housing: Name: URL: Previous housing: What ward/branch would you like to live in?: Are you using a Mysterious Key?: What would you like your new home to be named?: How many bedrooms would you like? You can have up to six bedrooms:

- If you are using a Mysterious Key, you may request a house at any rank, and your house can be whatever you would like it to be (a castle, a boat house, a house entirely made of glass, a recreation of your old home, etc.) (Mysterious Keys can be purchased in the Galaxy Marketplace with Stars) - If you are not using a Mysterious Key, you must be at least Giant Rank to request a standard home (one or two stories, up to four bedrooms, in one of the original four wards) with standard amenities. They come pre-furnished, but you may add anything onto it that you wish. - Any additional structures on any house can be added with Mysterious Blueprints, including extra bedrooms

You will be able to claim your rewards for Subversion as of Monday, December 20th at 12:00am EST! Please do not send in requests for these claims before then, as they will be deleted if so!

When you do so at the time, make sure you have participation for both parts and tell us where we can find those posts along with the small weapon or ability unlock that you would like!

we’re putting out a note here that you can start sending in those event reward requests as mentioned in the event conclusion! likewise, we’d like to offer a reminder that if you had sent in a request, housing or small unlock, prior to the date mentioned in the post: YOU WILL HAVE TO RESEND YOUR REQUEST, as ones that were sent in before will not be answered.

A Quick Update!

Howdy, Isolans! We’ve got some announcements:

Regarding the inbox...

Because of a change in the way the inbox works on tumblr lately, we’re finding that we cannot answer asks privately at this time. While we’re troubleshooting and finding a way to fix it, for the time being...

The Galaxy Inbox will be sending messages to everyone’s askbox on their blogs. So any unlocks, marketplace items, etc might be formatted differently or may be in multiple parts if necessary to accommodate for this change. So make sure your askbox is open!

That being said, sometimes asks do get eaten. So if you happen to see a lot of people getting unlocks and you don’t get yours, please send us a message regarding the status of the unlock/item you’ve requested.

EDIT: We can now send asks privately again without issue. Thanks for hanging in there while the issue resolved!

Regarding Housing Requests

From this point forward, if you’ve filled out a housing request form, please send a message to the Galaxy Box to let us know! This should help with wait times in regards to housing. Something as simple as “Hey, I’ve sent in a housing request form for (MUSE)!” should work just fine!

Galaxy Box Update

Hey there, Isolans!

This post is just here to let you all know that we’re changing how we process Galaxy messages (such as rank-ups, marketplace purchases, etc) behind the scenes, and how it might affect you! Which is to say, it won’t really affect you, but it might be good to know anyway!

Previously, we’ve only answered Galaxy messages on Sundays. This was done not only to allow us a specifically scheduled day to work on it, but also so that you would know when to expect a response or when to resend your message if you didn’t get anything back.

However, starting today we will no longer be only doing Galaxy box processing on Sundays and instead answering things on a more “whenever we can” basis. So you may start getting responses back on any day of the week now, and not just Sundays!

However, please still do not resend messages until a week has passed since your original message. Just because we can work on rank-ups and such on any day now doesn’t mean we always will, and it may still take up to a week for any message to be processed.

We will still try our best to make sure messages don’t take more than a week to get a response, but it makes it a lot more complicated if people resend their messages early, thinking it didn’t make it to the inbox, when really it’s still there and we just haven’t gotten to it yet!

And of course, as always, there is an exception to every rule. Challenge requests will still potentially take more time. These are more difficult to process than rank-ups or marketplace purchases and so it may be more than a week to receive a challenge. As always, you are free to take on the alternative Supergiant rank-up drabble outlined on the Ranks page!
