No, it's just- This reminds me of a certain time during our childhood...

Well, okay. You seem to be a very close friend of his, so I should probably indulge you. No point in making his- our past seem any more hidden than it should be.

One day, after we'd had our breakfast, our father told us that he was going to give us a test. A "fundimental test of endurance", he called it. We had to go out and survive in the wilderness for around 2 weeks, plus construct our own functional shelter and fend off mobs.

Now, me and Failboat were around 7-8 years old at the time, so we, of course, knew all of the necessary things needed to get through it. The problem was that I was terrified. I had developed a particular fear of Endermen after reading a book detailing their origins, and now I didn't even want to take a single peek outside when it was dark. But of course, with the way our father was, he told me to stop thinking about it and get out there already.

The both of us didn't even get that far out before I started having a panic attack. I don't remember much of what had happened after that, but I do know that eventually, I woke up to find myself on the floor in a poorly constructed shack made out of logs on top of a hill. Despite being dark outside, I worked up some courage and left the shack. The first thing I see?

My brother. Running around in the tall grass. With a cloth tied like a bandanna to his forehead. Trying to catch fireflies by dual-wielding handmade nets. He notices me. Then, suddenly, he trips and falls on his face.

I burst out laughing. Something I hadn't done in a good while. And I decide to join him, forgetting about any fears that I had previously, for just a moment.

The next day, he revealed to me that after he quickly built our shelter and gathered some food, he started doing several silly things that he hoped I would wake up to and catch him in the act. Even the tripping part was intentional-

Hm. I'm sorry. I must've gotten carried away with that explanation. Well, you probably get it anyways... I'll leave you alone now.

So Sharc-Chan!! I’ve always been curious.. how did your relationship with Captain Afraid go? if my memory serves me right, I remember seeing something about how you two were in a relationship during the first Dark Lord attack, right?

I guess I could say it was alright while it lasted. But the way he changed in demeanor all of a sudden... I've almost considered that he was being manipulated by someone into acting that way.

Either way, that was, like, 7 years ago. But still. Weird.
