Let's just say, my role in the Village is to look out for anyone within it that may seem troubled, be that a Rito or any individual within its confines. And I happened to be very adapt at that.
Hmmm...it sounds like you've never really had the chance to live Revali. Instead of trying to live for the world, maybe you should try living for yourself, free from having to try and live up to one's expectations. Rather than thinking about what you must do, think about what you can do.
There's only so much one person can do on their own. We all have limits. You're not obligated to work yourself to death for the adoration of others, or suffer in isolation for someone else's happiness. You also deserve the chance to experience that same happiness.
Times have changed, the world's a lot more unified compared to the past. All races are supporting each other in tandem to achieve a common goal. I'm sure there are many that would love nothing more to have you included in their daily activities, free from war and strife. And something me tells you know who those people are. Spend time with those people. I'm sure in time the answer to your plight will reveal itself, and you won't feel so lost in the current world you reside in.
Hmmm...How peculiar. You expressed a lot of eagerness to not been seen as a young fledgling Revali, and now that you may have potentially reached that stage physically, you seem...dissatisfied.
Could it be deep down you actually liked being seen as youthful? To others, and yourself?
It is strange isn't it? To want something so badly, only to finally get a hold of it, and for you to not feel the way you thought you would about it.
Maybe your cheek spots could return. Maybe they haven't disappeared quite yet, and it's just a momentary effect of whatever medication you took. Nature has a strange way of working it's wonders.
I won't wish you a happy coming of age day, as age doesn't define who you are, or your worth. Instead I'll celebrate your life.
I celebrate that you got a second chance at life, and got to experience what you missed. I celebrate that you found someone special to share your life with, and appreciates you for who you are. I celebrate that you found others that love and care for you. And most importantly as a member of my people, I celebrate that you were born a part of the Rito community.
Life is a gift, and it makes me happy to see many appreciate you for being a part of theirs.
Tch, you again?
What exactly is your role in the Village? To simply follow me around and spout attempts at appearing wise? Honnestly, it's begining to look embaressing for you.
For your information, I am not disatisfied. I'm thrilled, delighted even. Can't you tell? This is exactly what I wanted, and it was long overdue.
I just- well it's like- I supose I-
Ugh...I don't know. Whatever.
Growing up in times of war, it feels as if I never was a fledgling. I hatched from the egg already having responsibilities to my people. I have been a grown man for as long as I can remember, protecting my people before my flight feathers had even fully grown in. Now that war is over, I am the leader of the Rito Warriors and the Champion of my people - the highest rank I could possibly be beyond becoming the Elder himself. I achived all of that before I even shed the last of my markings.
Except - what is it exactly that the world expects of me now? Manhood is suposed to be the time when one flourishes and achives, and yet I have reached the highest heights already and have no further that I can soar. Now that I am accepted as fully mature, the Village must expect greater things of me, and I must make them proud - and yet where can I possibly go from here?
I feel as if I am mourning a childhood I never had, and fearing an adulthood I never thought I'd reach. Everything feels like it's changing so suddenly, and I know that's suposed to be a good thing. Why am I having such trouble accepting that life is moving on? Why can't I figure out what I'm suposed to do with my life now that I'm still here? The war being over is a positive thing, but war is all I have ever known, I knew I would die in battle some day, I never expected to make it this far and now I just feel...lost.

I most certainly am seeing this very clear display of affection, and you both look adorable. Ahh, the joys of youth.
I think you should indulge him.
If I can offer you some solace Revali, I to have experienced such a molting were I lost most of my feathers, and had to wait for them to grow back. Fear not, this moment of discomfort will pass.
Yes, so have I. So has everyone - you know, when we were like thirteen!
It is simply frustrating to have to relive such inconveniences again. People keep staring at me like I'm a fledgling, it's mortifying. How much must I achive before people give me the respect I deserve.
Ugh, it's asinine.

There is absolutely no need to apologize. Please don't distress yourself over a simple misunderstanding. I understand completely how wearisome these repairs must be, piece by piece, lacking the feeling of being whole. It speaks volumes of your strength that you endure it.
I would be honored to stay. Consider me your steadfast companion for as long as you need. Just focus on healing, you are not alone in this process. I am here.
I hear you've been having some bonding troubles with your pilot Revali Vah Medoh, and are currently going through some errors as a result of the aftermath. Would you like me to keep you company for the time being? Don't worry I have time, and plenty of it.
G-Genuinely curious... but wh-what would someone l-l-like you from so far in the past before such t-technology as I had ever existed kn-know?
Y-You could not be kn-knowledegable on the inner workings of Sh-Sheikah Technology... N-No offense to you, Esteemed S-Sage.

I understand your frustration Revali. It's easy to feel alone in our struggles, to look at others and think they have it all figured out.
I have seen many rise and fall. I have witnessed the passage of time and the countless souls who have sought to conquer the skies and beyond. No matter the reason, everyone had their own battles to fight, and their own hardships to endure.
You may look at Urbosa, Daruk, or Mipha and think they have it easy, but I assure you, they do not. Behind the curtains, each of them faced their own unique challenges, their own moments of doubt and fear. They all had to overcome their own weaknesses and insecurities to become the Champions they are today.
And as for Medoh, well, even those that appear to be the most perfect of beings have their flaws. Medoh's first Champion may have performed the soul bonding seamlessly, but that does not mean they did not face their own struggles. Perhaps they simply hid them better than most.
You are an incredibly dedicated individual Revali. But even the most skilled among us are not immune to hardship. It's okay to struggle, it's okay to feel out of control. It's all part of the journey, part of what makes us who we are.
Nobody is infallible Revali. We all make mistakes, we all stumble. But it's how we pick ourselves up and keep going that defines us. So don't be so hard on yourself. Embrace your struggles, learn from them, and grow stronger because of them.
I heard what happened between you and Vah Medoh Revali. Would like me to provide you some company and a wing during your recuperation? I have the time, and I'll always be there to support a Rito in need.
I'm not some fledgling who needs someone to hold their wing. I'm the Rito Champion! I don't need comfort from anyone, let alone some fool who parades around in a Vah Medoh costume.
...
It just. Soul bonding felt like my soul was being ripped out of my body against my will and it reminded me of being trapped as a spirit helpless to Windblight for a hundred years. I can't stand feeling so...out of control.
Now Medoh is broken and I failed my Pilot drill training- perhaps I'm just....what if I'm not fit to be a Champion anymore? I supose none of the other Champions ran into such trouble bonding with their Beasts - I bet Medoh's first Champion performed this seemlessly ten thousand years ago, it's always raving about how perfect it's first Champion was.
I train far harder and am far more talented than Urbosa or Daruk or Mipha - I shouldn't be....be struggling! I'm not suposed to struggle! What is wrong with me?! Am I broken? It's not suposed to be like this. I need to be better than this. I am better than this!

You seem to misunderstand, I said I'd keep you company during your, let's say, difficult time. Not that I'd fix you up. That area of expertise is outside of my skill range, despite being familiar with the inner working of the Stormwind Ark.
Hmm...has what happened to you also affected your ability to interpret one's intentions Vah Medoh?
I hear you've been having some bonding troubles with your pilot Revali Vah Medoh, and are currently going through some errors as a result of the aftermath. Would you like me to keep you company for the time being? Don't worry I have time, and plenty of it.

Tee hee!
Well now, what an unusual sight. It's genuinely surprising to find a little Korok friend making himself comfortable right on top of my favorite Rito mask. I certainly wasn't expecting that when I took a seat.
A big hello back to you little one. I hope you've been doing well and haven't found yourselves in too much trouble out there playing with the rest of your leafy friends.
Speaking of being out there… I'm honestly surprised. How exactly did you manage to get all the way up here onto the Stormwind Ark? That's quite the journey from down on the land, or even from the sky islands.
Then again you lot are prone for popping up in the strangest of places, so I suppose it was only of matter of time before you made your way here.

((Yikes. Come on guys. I know people are eager to have their asks get answered, but be mature about it. This is just highly inappropriate and uncomfortable for the blogger.))
(( No tea no shade to whoever keeps sending me the same ask day in day out like a hundred times because I get it; genderbend character arcs are fun and you want your idea to be acnowledged.
But this is my heads up to you and to other people who are incessantly asking for me to make Revali a girl;
-I won't be gender bending Revali into a girl because on this blog he is a transgender man and that dysphoria is not something I want to explore.
-Rito look the same whether they're male or Female anyway??? The only difference is how they wear their braids. He wouldn't really look any different and I'm not sure what you're even expecting me to draw if I'm totally honest. I draw him wearing dresses or femme outfits from time to time already.
Also if you send me the same ask more than three times I tend to be less likely to answer them because the repetitiveness makes my ADHD brain stop seeing it. If you've sent an ask and it hasn't been answered yet; it's because there's 400+ asks in my inbox and I am only one person. I just answer whatever catches my eye on any given day. I'm not ignoring you on purpose, it might just be that your ask requires a more complicated drawing that I need to be in the headspace for, or that it's been answered before, or I don't have a clever response in mind yet.
Be patient with me. I've been here 6 months now and I've given you over 700 drawings of Ravioli. I'm sure you'll probably be getting at least 700 more by the anniversary of this blog. But behind the silly doodles i'm someone with a full time job and a busy schedule and can't always keep up, so plz be kind and patient if you can. ✊))

What are your thoughts on the bond shared between Link, and the Rito Champion Revali?
I have observed the unique bond between Link and Revali. It is a powerful connection, forged through shared trials and perhaps, something deeper between them. I wholeheartedly approve of their relationship and wish them endless happiness. My people, the Rito's believe love knows no bounds. Our hearts are free to choose our mates regardless of their gender or race. Their bond is a beautiful example of this freedom, and I bless their shared future among the breezes.

Was it a matter of innate destiny carried by Tulin, or some kind of distinct character trait that guided your choice away from choosing Teba as your successor as the sage of wind, and choosing his son instead?
Ah, the matter of succession? It wasn't a question of Teba lacking anything. Make no mistake, he is a formidable warrior and a worthy Rito, capable of leading and wielding the wind's power magnificently. He could have easily stepped into the role as the next sage of wind. However, my decision regarding Tulin... it was guided by something akin to instinct. A resonance, a sense of potential not yet realized but inherently present within the fledgling. It was less about measured accomplishment and more about detecting a flicker of innate destiny, a unique connection to the wind that Tulin carries. My choice simply aligned with that feeling.

Oh great Sage of Wind, knowing your profound connection to the wind and your extensive history with the bow, I am curious to hear your insightful judgment about something. When comparing the abilities of Link, Tulin, Revali, and Teba, who in your esteemed view, is the superior archer?
A question concerning the discipline of archery, and pitting Hylians against Ritos no less.
Under normal circumstances, I might find this comparison rather... unfair. After all, the bow is an extension of the wind for us Rito, it's in our very feathers, our very bones. To compare a grounded folk to a creature of the sky in our natural element of ranged combat... well, it brings a flutter of amusement to my spirit.
However, the Hylian in question is Link. And Link is, regrettably for my usual Rito pride, anything but normal. He is an exemplary individual, a phenomenon, really. His skill with the bow, even without our innate connection to the wind, is undeniable. At times, I've even mused that perhaps he received tutelage from a Rito warrior during his younger years, or that he lived with them for an extended period of time. His form and precision can sometimes possess a certain... Rito elegance, though I suspect it's simply his own extraordinary talent manifesting.
Now then. Let us consider the contenders you've named.
Young Tulin. He is my descendant, and possesses a raw talent with the bow that is truly remarkable for one so young. He can already harness the wind's power in ways that would make many older Rito envious. Yet, he is still a fledgling, only just beginning to truly understand the breadth of the sky and the patience required for true mastery. He has much growing to do, many more lessons to learn. And learn he will, not only from his father Teba, but also, interestingly enough, from Link, who has become a mentor figure to him in his own right. So, while promising, young Tulin for now, stands at the end of this particular ranking, due to his lack of seasoned experience.
Now, Link and Revali. This is where it becomes truly... fascinating. Revali, as I've come to learn, was very renowned among my people for his skill with the bow. He set records at the Flight Range that were thought unbreakable, conquered trials that were deemed insurmountable for anyone but himself to prove his worthiness to pilot Vah Medoh. His arrogance and pride was vast, certainly, however it was backed by genuine skill.
But then comes Link. A Hylian, without wings, without our inherent rapport with aerial archery, and he managed to achieve those very same accomplishments. He matched Revali's records, he faced the same trials and emerged victorious. It's quite humbling, frankly, to see one so different achieve such parity.
Adding to that, we Rito, despite our keen eyes for distance, suffer from rather poor night vision. It's a weakness we must contend with. Hylians, on the other hand, do not share this affliction. Taking that into account, Link would, ever so slightly, edge out Revali in a purely objective assessment across all conditions. But for all intents and purposes, they are, remarkably equal. Plus considering their rela... respectable interactions, I'm sure they both appreciate being equals.
However... there is Teba.
Teba. My other descendant. There is a quiet strength, a humble, almost stern demeanor about him that belies the sheer, terrifying skill he possesses with the bow. I have lived many centuries, I have seen countless Rito warriors in their prime. But I have never, seen a Rito capable of firing so many arrows, with such blistering speed, such unwavering accuracy, and such deadly intent, as Teba. It isn't just skill, it feels like a fundamental understanding of the bow's very soul. He is a storm of arrows, precise and relentless. I genuinely believe he doesn't fully comprehend the magnitude of his own ability. How far he's exceeded even the best of my people. But it does not change the truth. When it comes down to pure, unadulterated mastery and application of archery in combat, Teba is a cut above the rest. He surpasses Revali, he surpasses Link, and he certainly surpasses young Tulin, despite passing the torch to him.
So, in my seasoned judgment, Tulin has the potential, but still much to learn. Link and Revali being remarkably equal in their unique paths to mastery, with Link holding a tiny, practical edge. Teba is the superior archer amongst them. A quiet master of the bow, and a force of nature in his own right.

Rito Spring Festival? Can't remember the last time I attended one of those. It's been...a very long time.
I suppose it wouldn't hurt to turn up as...well myself. I'm sure I'll blend right in, it's s not like I'm a celebrity in the present. It'll be quite the sight to see what Rito Spring Festival is like now.
Prom fell through so you can keep the dress alas
Shame. 'Prom' sounds like an overrated Hylian nonsense celebration anyway.
No point letting expensive garb go to waste - I have my own formal attire. Wear it to the Rito Village Spring Festival this week. The affair shall be far more entertaining anyway.

What an adorable Medoh costume - off to a dress up party are we? And who might you be? I don't think I've seen you around before.
A costume? No young one, this is no costume, and I'm not of to anywhere in particular. This is all me in my natural state. If anything, the Divine Beast you call Medoh took inspiration from my attire, not the other way around. I'm a lot older than I look, despite my youthful appearance.
As for who I might be... you may call me the Sage of Wind. Not to be confused with Tulin my descen... the current Sage of Wind.
It is understandable you haven't seen me before. I hail from... a rather distant place. But despite the distance of our residences, I know who you are Revali. Though, perhaps not for the reasons you might immediately assume.
Even without the aid of any special bloodlines, you have done the Rito people incredibly proud. You have proven yourself as a talented warrior, and pushed yourself to be the best you can be to where you can also ride the winds through sheer effort and grit, even if you do preen yourself just a touch more than is strictly necessary. A minor flaw for an otherwise capable individual.
And despite what others may whisper or think, know this, I approve of your relationship with the Hero Link. He is truly fortunate to have you as his significant other. I think your feather looks very nice braided in his hair.

Strange Rito. You smell like sky magic and death. Do you have any idea on protecting from this region's extensive thunderstorms? Faron is beautiful, but I'm getting rather tired of near misses with skyfire.
- @askoutofmalice
You...smell it, do you? Sky magic and death. Interesting... Perhaps you have a sharper nose than you let on. Let's just say the winds have carried me through more than just pleasant breezes. I suppose in that regard I am indeed a strange Rito.
It would appear you've come to understand Faron's beauty comes with a price. Those storms… they can be quite relentless when they want to be. For protection? You need to understand the rhythm of the storm. Watch the clouds, feel the air. Find places the wind doesn't rush through – deep recesses in the rock, sheltered valleys. Avoid the peaks, obviously. And… perhaps, if you can, learn to listen to the silence before the lightning strikes. Sometimes, the sky whispers warnings before it acts.

I do remember seeing something like that from one of my descendants memories. Three more of you were created alongside each other, and dark times befall you all in the very distant future, through a bout of great misfortune. Reminds me of the dark time I also had to experience. Though I also heard a fifth Divine Beast was created for a "Hero", though records of that, seem to be non existent, alongside records of that "Hero" as well.
Maybe not an exactly replica, but the resemblance is uncanny. It's like looking at a mirror. A very big mirror.
No need to be shy, I believe I have an inkling of who you're referring to. This "Revali" individual correct? I've already been approached about the possibility.
While I have no doubt the Sheika were very meticulous in their details when they constructed you. I can assure you, despite what you're records may have you believe, this individual and I share no blood relation or connection. I know I had no illegitimate children, or siblings, and my bloodline is as pure as it can possibly be, which can be chalked up to my descendants being quite meticulous in that department. If this "Revali" and I shared such a connection, believe me, I'd most certainly be well aware of it, even if he was a distant relative.
As he was your pilot, I can understand you sticking up for him, and perhaps wanting me to acknowledge him. However, whatever legacy this "Revali" left behind, however big or small was entirely his own, free from any connection to me and my bloodline, and from what I've gathered about him, that's probably for the best.
He's the kind of person who wishes to prove himself, without being born with any special gifts, and he did just that according to the records of my descendants. It would seem his efforts have caused even a Divine Beast such as yourself, to make an error. I say that speaks volumes of what he was able to accomplish with his own hands, without being a blood descendant of mine. If you're worried that I won't acknowledged him, rest assured, I acknowledge everything he's done in his life, the good and the bad.
With everything that I've seen and done, I don't think ordinary and I can be in the same sentence. Despite that I still consider myself just a warrior doing what he can to protect Hyrule and nothing more.

I'm surprised this large mechanism can detect a entity like myself within its confines. I haven't seen this level of capability other the Stormwind Ark.
Though I couldn't help but notice the similarities the head has to the mask I'm wearing. How very peculiar.
My name is... actually no nevermind. You can simply identify me as the Sage of Wind, and in many ways I suppose I was the inspiration behind your creation.

A sentient being crafted by Sheikah hands you say? It would seem many interesting developments happened beyond my time for them to have constructed such a marvel such as yourself.
I think your head bears more than a simple resemblance to my mask. It looks like an exact replica. It does make me wonder how much I influenced the future of the Rito.
Teba is my distant blood descendant, so a blood match is a given. It's nice to hear my bloodline remained strong throughout the passage of time.
An ancient machine finds me intriguing? I suppose that's natural, I'm not exactly an ordinary Rito.

You're Tulin's ancestor, right? Is that why he has wind powers? Does Revali's gale indicate that he's also a relative, or is that just his thing? What do you think of both of them?
You are correct. I am indeed Tulin's great ancestor, and the one who he inherited his power of the wind from.
I'm very proud of my distant descendant. Despite being so young, he's lived up to the title of Wind Sage phenomenally. I'm sure he's proved his worth to Link during his travels, and made many great contributions to the battle against the demon king. I also sense the two of them are rather close, would probably explain why he's so eager to follow him everywhere he goes. I'm happy he got to live a better life than me. The war infested world that I was a part of, is no place for an innocent fledgling like him.
This "Revali" that you speak of is not someone I'm familiar with. I have a connection with all of my descendants spanning across many generations, and I can assure you, such an individual by that name was not among them. This individual and I share no such relation, connection, or are we related blood in any way, though I am vaguely aware my present day descendants seem to know this individual.
As for this "Gale" that you speak of, it sounds like a product of his own efforts, and not something he inherited from me. Which is to say, this "Revali" learnt how to manipulate the winds through his own blood, sweat and tears. He intrigues me this one. What he did is no easy feat, though I suspect he put a lot of pressure on himself trying to live up to people's expectations, and may have put on a mask to hide it from others. Speaking as a fellow Rito Warrior and not a Sage, I respect his zeal for accomplishing what he did.
