Bananas to the Feet

If I died in a movie by being shot with a neutron ray, probably there would be just my socks and shoes left.  If it were these socks, at least I know I died looking cool.  I love bananas.  And the color yellow.  And the band Yello.  Please play their song Bananas to the Beat, off the 1980 album Solid Pleasure, at my funeral, If I am ever killed by being shot by a neutron ray.

Nice Frames

These are special bike themed socks that they make for old dudes to wear so they can feel young and hip even though they haven't moved their bike out of the hallway since november.  Also, these are fixed-gear socks (duh)

FOOTBRUARY WEEK THREE WINNERS

Lauren Michelle Smith, Writer, Mentor, Fashion Afficianado, Social Media Maven and current Style contributor to The Couch Sessions, is our week 3 judge. She comes to Asockalype with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and a keen sense of soft footwear. Let's see how we did.

Day 1: Color! Color! Color! Those jewel tones are giving me life! And the pattern's so interesting you could get lost in it just staring for hours.

Day 2: That hot pink chevron pattern is making me hearken back to Saturday morning cartoons, sugary cereal with 2% milk and Charlie Brown and co. And I'm a sucker for nostalgia so I gotta go with those.

Day 3: Piano keys?! On your socks?! Those ivories are ripe for the tickling. The piano toes take it, no question.

Day 4: A bold bright and wide stripe gives a great contrast. Love them.

Day 5: Those lightning bolts are in a word, Fierce.

Day 6: I really love an eyelet lace. But you usually see this pattern in a plain ol' white. The pop of color (and against the black pant) is a great surprise. I mean seriously, where can I get these?

Day 7: I'm a preppy girl at heart and if there's anything J.Crew has taught me it's that you can never go wrong with a great polka dot. The red takes it. (This was a tough one because if you look at those orange typeface long enough you can transform ass to sass.)

FOOTBRUARY WEEK 3 RECAP

Morgan stomped on the first two weeks of Footbruary.  But remember, even after Johnny Lawrence swept out Daniel-san's legs, the Karate Kid pulled some last minute crane technique magic and triumphed.  Will Brett be able to work his own foot magic?

Hidden in plain sight

I really wish you could see me socks today. I mean, I know you can see the red tips and all, but the rest of the sock is so well disguised. You're really missing out. Nico the dog and I had some recon work to do, we, naturally, put on our best gear and handled business.

The Posse travelled on Foot

Morgan somehow walked away with the first two weeks of Footbruary.  But she better watch out.  There's a new Sherif in town... and he's brought a friend!

Sarabi

I went to South Africa last summer with my Dad. We went on safari and saw  pretty much every animal you'd wish to see, including lions. We rolled up on a pride of about 9 lady lions at dawn. It was awesome. These socks do their best at recreating that moment, albeit in an abbreviated form. (note: Sarabi is Simba's mom from The Lion King).
