trans women specifically are so hated that getting mistaken for a trans woman is dangerous. thank god all of us can clear up that we aren't trans women to defuse that tension a little bit, thank god we can all fall back on not being trans women when it comes to legal matters. imagine if you couldn't do that. sure would suck if there was a type of person who couldn't do that. glad none of us are like that though.
I'm Glad We're All Equally Susceptible To Being MISTAKEN For Trans Women. Truly We Are All Faggots In The Eyes Of The State.

As a trans man, I've been followed into the men's bathroom. I've had coworkers stalk me in the bathroom and report back to my manager. I've been harassed in men's bathrooms. I've been harassed in women's bathrooms (before I came out). I've almost been assaulted in public bathrooms.
"Men's bathrooms aren't policed like women's bathrooms" is straight up a fucking lie. Using the bathroom as a PASSING trans man is unsafe. Can't piss standing up? Ever heard a cis man loudly comment about you pissing sitting down in a public restroom?
Again, bathroom bills may SEEM targeted, but it hurts us all. Trying to force trans men into women's bathrooms, to cut them off from men's restrooms- it does a lot of the same shit it does to trans women.
Except now no one wants to consider this. At most even other trans guys will make the joke "oh so you want a big hairy buff trans man going to the women's shitter?" No. Actually. They WANT more of a reason to beat me into the tile floor. These laws are used to make that easy to sweep under the rug.

Your tag "when you're trans, both masculinity and femininity become weapons against you at any given moment" really resonated with me. Its a powerful and succint way of saying it
I also often say trans people regardless of actual identity are schroedinger's gender- you are whatever gender is convenient for the person hurting you to harm you with at any given moment. If they believe calling you a woman will hurt you, they'll use that. If a man, they'll use that instead. If they can completely degender you, they will. And it will change based on the second, many times.

TERFs have begun using “hygienic” to mean cis because they’re fucking weirdos who think trans people don’t take baths
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ve been collecting these screenshots for months to prove my point, this is an actual thing they’re doing and I feel that by now I have enough proof to be making this post. If you see someone calling themselves hygienic in their blog description, that’s what they mean. They mean they’re openly transphobic. And a fucking weirdo who assumes trans people don’t bathe for some reason.
No I’m not censoring the urls, all of these people can go fuck themselves! Block, don’t harass 💙🖤

Fun fact on asexuals not being treated as humans...

'But asexuals are so harmless why would she come after them/us?' I mean apart from the fact trans people, intersex people and people of colour aren't harmful either and oppression isn't because a group deserved it and marginalised people don't need to be morally pure to not be discriminated against, no asexuality isn't harmless in conservatives' eyes. In an ideology where cis heterosexual marriage and sex for reproduction is seen as mandatory you having little to no sexual attraction ruins the whole set up. You can't 'be fruitful and multiply' in the way god intended. You have a nonsexuality that isn't being forced onto you by them. You're not repressing your desire in the name of god because you barely have any. You have control over your own body and you aren't supposed to do that. You're spitting in the face of conservative sexual and gender roles just by existing. Spit harder!

can people like. chill out about queer terminology that they don't personally enjoy. "ugh I hate these new tenderqueer vocab words like 'mx' 'nibling' 'sapphic' 'mlm' 🤢🤢🤢 they're so infantilizing just call me a slur" so fun fact you don't actually have to call yourself words just because they exist and other people use them. some of the ones I see people hate on most often as ~tumblrcore mogai cringe~ aren't even particularly new, sapphic is from the 1890s and nibling is from the 1950s. achillean was coined in 2018, but, like, who cares. why does that matter. sometimes people invent words to suit new niches. there is nothing inherently childlike about any of these words, those associations came from you, You Have Internalized Queerphobia.

ill be real the "poly people are uglyyy" thing just feels like cope? like theyre in a polycule. they have directly proven that multiple people find them hot enough to want to be in a relationship, often sexual, with. you have what? one single Monogamous Jessica, and you're terrified she'll leave you as soon as she sees a rooster with bigger tail feathers?

"compulsory sexuality isn't a thing, no one cares if you don't fuck, in fact our puritanical society actually prefers it if you're sexless, especially if you're a woman" oh phew, for a second I thought we lived in a world where for hundreds of years it was considered a wife's legal responsibility to provide her husband with sex upon command, thank god I was mistaken and no woman has ever faced social, legal, medical, or physical repercussions for not having sex.

Preoccupied by the way polyamory is treated with hate. I've gotten hate for even approaching the subject in the past. There's so much violent rhetoric and ideation surrounding it, so much genuine bigotry and prejudice towards people who practice it. But if you mention that, you get met with dismissal. It's not a big deal. You're taking it too seriously. Who gives a shit. Get over yourself. It is something that people respect so little that they refuse to even see it as a legitimate identity. Even left-wing progressive types will make jokes tantamount to thrashing blue-haired SJW snowflakes when it comes to polyamory. They're gross. They're weird. They're always cringe. It's never the people you want to be poly. I would rather kill myself. You'd think simply changing the structure of a relationship wouldn't be a problem, but even the most ardent defenders of equality can begin to say some pretty awful shit. Problem is, fundamentally, it is not seen as legitimate. It's not seen as deserving respect. There's all this handwringing about how these relationships are doomed to fail in order to justify this kind of thought and speech. It's bizarre to watch unfold. Frankly, it's the same sentiment and a lot of the same jokes as those cracked about nonbinary people. We're at a point where we've firmly accepted that everyone has a right to do what they want within the structure of social norms, you can take any side you want and do it with whoever you want. But as soon as you step outside of those norms, as soon as you go beyond the boundaries of social convention to find what suits you personally, everybody becomes a bitter reactionary.

Listen man, you guys can't be like "you guys need to be normal about asexuality" and then turn around and get weirdly judgemental when you find out someone doesn't have sex by choice. Like that's weird that some of you do that.
