my favorite thing about xenk as an irl dnd player myself is that he is 100% a DM NPC and the DM in question clearly had the time of their life coming up with him and he clearly has a very high constitution stat to so effortlessly ascend the rock

i met neil newbon last night here is the takeaway

1. the absolute nicest guy in the world, only 1/3 in our group was getting a signature but he took the time to get all of our names and shake our hands

2. even more handsome in person if you can believe it. pictures don’t do it justice

3. we waited in line for two hours and were some of the last people as the con closed for the night and his voice was dying but he stuck around to get through the entire line even after close

basically he is lovely and i almost screamed when we were walking away from the booth
