Okay I JUST realized I never posted these on here—- BUT BASICALLY, about a year and a half ago I started doing these experimental black hairstyle posts that were threads long on Twitter, to give artists a source of inspo for their black ocs whose hair they wanted to try something new with! There’s more to black hair than just the selected styles portrayed in media, and I thought it would be fun to show people how much texture, shape, fades, length, and style can be combined when drawing black hair—-cause it’s a kind of manipulation our hair can do irl! Sorry a western isekai is significantly more interesting with a black woman from NYC thrown into a fantasy world than yet another white high schooler or college student. I am so dramatically much more interested in the overall dynamics of social exchange that will happen here than whatever will happen when Becky figures out she's in her favorite historical period except with dragons this time.

Sorry as a lover of folk stories and fairy tales you are never not going to get me to love a game based on southern black folk stories - my dad bought as many black folk story collection books as he could when I was a kid and I have never thanked him enough for it tbqh

Sorry a historical fantasy series featuring a real black figure who began as a slave and was noted to have been given rank and status well documented in history is going to be significantly more interesting to me than yet another fictionalized white savior

Sorry a story about coping with death and grief with such raw, gasping emotion and beautiful artwork to go along with it is improved by having the main character being a black girl and no I will not take critique in this opinion

Black people and especially black women make these stories better and I'm not sorry to say if you don't like it then that just means black people are better than you. The truth hurts but that doesn't make it less true
