I deadass wanna be a VA so badly but like

A) I'm a broke 16 year old and

B) WHERE THE FUCK DO I FIND PLACES TO GET GIGS!

Like srsly plz help idec if it's unpayed or what js tell me where do ppl find gigs!

So I wrote a poem about the current state of the world.

Destruction pollution hate everywhere,

Why does nobody care?

Millions of plants dying for one private jet flying,

CO2 emissions rising from more cars driving,

Tirades of torrential weather,

Tyrants running countries

Gunning down families. Innocent lives lost.

Genocide comes at a cost.

That cost is our future,

Families in poverty,

Health care stops being a priority,

Cost of living rising. It's a struggle just surviving,

Literacy rates plummeting while hate crimes are rising

Burning of black colleges,

Bombing of poorer countries,

censorship of LGBTQ books and history

Yet we act like it's a mystery.

Women's rights over their own body,

We're just ignoring history,

The suffragettes didn't die for this.

Rosa parks, Martin Luther King Jr, Maya Angelou,

Just to name a few

Stonewall riots, black lives matter,

All these historic movements ignored by those in power.

Suicide rates in LGBT teens,

Their mental state in shambles,

but the people don't care. The Earth still turns,

As young futures removed themselves from the planet,

Depression, anxiety, self-harm self-hate,

Parents unable to put food on kids plates,

Animals going extinct,

Ice caps melting. We need to rethink how we look after this place.

The Earth is our home, A nature filled dome,

Not a car driving to its doom.

This will lead to our extinction.

The world won't change from my plea,

so I ask,

Will you join me?
