"Yes. I hope I made the layout more clear. It was very nice speaking with you."
Finnegan finds himself pausing, staring at Dash. "Er," he begins as a placeholder. "I hope to see you tomorrow. Sleep well. Do you know how to get to the bunks from here? I assumed they already showed you that area."
He was a bit relieved to be able to go back to his quiet laboratory soon, but he had to admit that he quite enjoyed his time with Dash. He hoped they would keep in touch. The prospect of receiving noodles every day was delightful.

*Finnegan can see someone approaching in the distance, even tho they look pretty lost, they're still.. magically finding their way to him. And after finally turning their head the right way, you can see that it's Dash! Wow, he actually did find him! He waves at Finnegan, before walking in his direction*
Hey! Sorry, got a little lost on my way. Were you waiting for a long time? I hope not...
Finnegan perks up and gently closes his book as Dash makes his way over. He stands up slowly and brushes off his coat, directing his attention to the watchdog before him.
The lab was not so interesting, mostly empty and filled with large books and novelty items. Not to mention, rather dim. There was a massive telescope, but the dust covering it seemed to convey the amount of use that it got. There was a long projection on the side of the room with the door, and the intergalactic matrix was displayed there, along with a small terminal—seemingly connected to the projector, on the desk. It didn't seem like his department got much funding.
"It was not so long. Do not worry," Finnegan murmurs softly, his voice not changing in tone. It was like every word he said hung on the exact same note. He then reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small piece of candy, holding it out to Dash. "See."

Finnegan finds himself smiling—if only slightly, subconsciously rocking back and forth on his heels. Dash was very contagious, and he wasn't quite sure why. Perhaps this is what people meant by 'charisma'.
"Thank you. It is my middle name. However, I have been called Mogens all my life."
He suppresses a small yawn, rubbing his eye softly. "Hm.. You need to sleep. The kitchen is very chaotic. You will need it."

"Really?" Finnegan asks, sounding genuinely surprised. He stares at Dash for a few seconds before returning to his usual disposition. "That would be very nice. Thank you."
He glances at a few watchdogs walking past for a moment, rolling on his heels. "You can call me Mogens, just so you know," he murmurs quietly. "It is what my friends call me."

"Yes. We are not done. There is the auditorium over there," Finnegan replied simply, walking over to the general area. "And there are training rooms down that hall, and there is the drop-down near the entrance of the ship. But that is for soldiers. There are also a lot of meeting rooms, and the Commander's strategy room. And for some odd reason we have rooms dedicated to kissing people. There are actually a lot of weird rooms. They change nearly every 2 months. I wouldn't bother. Unless you think they're interesting."
Pausing, he took a moment to blink. "That is where all of our funding goes. Lord Hater asks for some strange things." He didn't really realize he was rambling, and he was gesturing around with his hands as he did so. "There is also the bunks. The watchdogs sleep there. I don't. I sleep in my lab. Do not tell the Commander. And there is also Lord Hater's personal floor. That is where the important people sleep. We do not go up there."
He then turned to face Dash. "But no. Not really. I like the library the most. I guess the storage room is okay."

Finnegan takes the book gently and walks over to the side of the library, setting it back in place. "Here. There are only five. We can continue the tour now."
He looks back to make sure that Dash is following as he walks out of the library, and takes an unconventional route to get to the other sector of the ship, mumbling to himself about how the regular route is outrageously long.
He pauses once they get to their destination. Some yelling can be heard in the distance.
"I do not know what that is. We should stay away from that hall. This is the tailor's room, but I do not want to bother him," Finnegan says, gesturing to an opening in the wall.

"Uh. Those sound nice. I like soft noodles. Thank you."
Observing Dash rocking back and forth, he found himself subconsciously doing the same, squinting slightly, as though repressing a small smile. "We can go to the.. Uh. It doesn't really have a name. There are a lot of different rooms in that sector of the ship."
He hesitantly walked towards the exit of the library. Pausing, he realized he forgot about the cooking book. "You will have to put the book back. If you don't know where it goes you can hand it to me," He stated quietly.

Finnegan hums softly, his gaze returning to meet Dash's. "Anything. I like noodles. Thin noodles. They only have noodles on Monday and Wednesday." He pauses, glancing at the door as someone walks past. "I don't eat anything else."
He usually ate microwaved noodles on the other days, as much as he disliked them. They were better than other foods however, and nothing had quite the same texture as noodles. He rolled on his heels mindlessly, trying to ignore the obvious blush on Dash's face. He did say he could handle 'nerdy flirting', but perhaps Dash miscalculated.

Finnegan glances at the book nervously. "Uh. No. I do not like eating a lot of things."
He looks back up at Dash, taking in the compliment. His pupil dilating slightly, he shifts his feet. He was never insecure of his voice whatsoever, but he'd never been complimented on it, either. He glanced at the floor again as he replied. "..Thank you."
Finnegan found himself allowing a small smile. "You really turn my pages," he said softly, staring at the floor.

Finnegan nods slightly, watching him leaf through the book. He fidgets with his gloved hands mindlessly, his eye shifting slightly, confused by Dash's question.
"Try anything. What do you mean by that," He murmurs. "From the book." He squints a little at his own voice, attempting to make it sound more like a question, "Sorry. I mean, a recipe from.. The book?"

Finnegan gently plucks a small book off of a shelf and stares at it for a brief moment before walking over and holding it out to Dash.
"Okay. You're the cutest card in the catalog."
He blinks, glancing at the floor. "This is a cooking book."

Finnegan quietly tip-toes around the department, not saying anything as he leads Dash through the maze of offices. It's not like anyone really goes down here, so.. It shouldn't matter very much.
Once they exit the business and finance department, they are greeted by the library, which Finnegan suddenly seems to be rather excited about. Despite his tone or expression not changing, there is a certain energy to his movements.
"This is the library," he finally says. "It is very resourceful. But my collection is better." He steps inside eagerly, gently brushing dust off of a surface. The library was currently empty, but to be fair, most of the shifts in the Skullship ended about an hour ago.
"I have many good library puns. But they are all flirty. I am ashamed of my," he pauses, attempting to emphasize his next word, "shelf."

Finnegan nodded, focusing on the path they were taking. He was getting a little distracted by the occasional dent in the wall, things that were not there previously.. He wondered with slight dread if Captain Tim got loose recently.
"Yes. I like to discover things. But I am moreso an archivist now. I cannot complain, I love my books. I have only used the telescope twice for my job. I don't know why they bought it. I think the commander uses it sometimes."
He cautiously entered the business and finance department, glancing around. "I would advise you to be quiet here. They get angry when you are loud," he whispered, leaning closer to Dash.

Finnegan hummed softly, a gesture that he hoped seemed friendly. He then thought carefully about Dash's question, squinting slightly. It was likely the first time his expression changed since they had met up.
"No. Not really. I would prefer to go back to our home planet. It is okay though. It is not so bad, I like my lab a lot." He rolled on his heels absentmindedly, looking up at the ceiling.
"Well. That is the science department. There is a shortcut to the business and finance department. We can use that."

"It's okay."
Finnegan leads Dash through more of the department, being rather concise and not getting into too much. He had to keep in mind there was the entire Skullship, and it was big. They pause at the weapons lab.
"Uh. I am the Skullship's astronomer. I like puns. I also like space. I really gravitate towards space puns. Get it," He replied blankly, glancing at the floor. He wasn't quite sure what Dash was looking for. Regardless, he never really did the talking himself. He usually listened to others talk.
