huening kai's hand is warm in your own as you stop outside a row of shops, fingers tightly intertwined.

he glances over at you and catches sight of your anxious expression. a frown crosses his face and he takes your hands in his own, squeezing them comfortingly. "y/n, it's okay to take breaks, you know? you've been working so hard, you deserve a day off. you don't have to feel bad about resting, okay?"

you nod, trying to let yourself relax and let all stressful thoughts skip from your mind. "okay. thanks, hyung."

the smile that lights up kai's face fills you with warmth, and you can't help but feel better.

hyuka's good at noticing even the smallest changes in you, and you're glad he made you take a day off so you could go have fun together. you have a tendency to be harsh with yourself, and kai knows that, which is why he's even more determined to make sure you get some rest and have fun.

he squeezes your hand once again, and then pulls you into the plushie shop.

it's one of kai's favorite places to go to relax— by simply enjoying the soft music and pretty interior of the shop. also, he loves spoiling you, and despite you telling him multiple times that you'll pay, he loves treating you to plushies.

how can he not? he's lucky to be dating a boy like you— someone who shares his love of plushies and cute things, plus since the two of you share a bed, you share all your plushies anyways. and he can't deny that when you fall asleep with a plushie in your arms, you look unbelievably cute.

a small bell chimes overhead as you enter, soft rnb music filling your ears.

immediately, both of your eyes light up, any stress you had slipping away.

"where do you wanna go first?" kai asks excitedly.

you think for a second, then say, "the sanrio aisle!", practically skipping over to the sanrio section. hyuka's energy is infectious, and he laughs when you tug on his sleeve to make him hurry up.

when you get to the sanrio aisle, you stop and hop from foot to foot, head tilted back as your eyes flit excitedly from shelf to shelf. "look, they have the pompompurin in pyjamas plushie! …oh, but the sleepy cinnamoroll one is so cute too…"

kai laughs, picking up the cinnamoroll plushie you pointed out. "this one looks like you when you're sleepy!"

then he catches sight of a grumpy looking badtzmaru plushie and adds, "and that one looks like yeonjun hyung whenever beomgyu hyung pisses him off."

you laugh, but then suddenly stop when you spot a tuxedo sam plushie. it's big and has a pair of angel wings on its back. it's gentle expression seems to entice you, and you freeze, staring up at the penguin. "hyuka," you breathe out.

he glances at you. "hmm?"

you shake your head and gently pick out the tuxedo sam plushie, holding it gently in your arms. "no, i mean, it looks like you. a penguin… and an angel."

the lovesick expression in your eyes causes kai's cheeks to turn a soft pink, and he resists the urge to pepper your face with kisses.

he puts his arms around you and squeezes tight, happily murmuring, "then let's get that one, y/n. and i'll get the one that looks like you."

he knows you're about to offer to pay, so he presses a finger against your lips. "shh, i'm paying."

you pout but know that there's no point protesting, and make up your mind to buy hyuka a plushie for his birthday in return.

when you reach the counter, the cashier smiles at yours and huening kai's matching happy expressions.

"a good choice," she remarks, as she puts the tuxedo sam plushie into a bag. you smile and point at hyuka, asking, "doesn't it look like him?"

she laughs and nods, then adds "the two of you make a cute couple." kai fails to contain his wide smile, thanking her as you both leave.

once you're out on the street again, hyuka adjusts your coat, making sure you're warm, before linking your hands together and swinging them lightly as you start walking.

"hungry?" he asks. "wanna get some crêpes?"

"yeah!" you reply, your enthusiasm making him laugh softly.

as you walk with his hand in yours, the winter breeze cool against your face, you can't help but think that as long as you have huening kai, you can get through anything.

you've always secretly thought of joshua hong as perfect. logically, you know that humans are messy and imperfect despite however they might appear on the surface, but looking at joshua, you just can't see it.

maybe it's the rose tinted glasses of budding love painting him in a different light, but to you, joshua could never be anything but perfect.

it's a thought that often crosses your mind when you think about your boyfriend, and it's one that presents itself now, as he emerges from the bedroom and stands in the doorway, leaning against the doorframe, smiling sleepily at you.

his hair is fluffy and mussed up, his eyes and skin lit up golden by the sunlight, and when he mumbles out a quiet, "good morning, sweetheart," his voice is a little hoarse and sleepy, though it still has that honeyed quality to it that you've come to know and adore.

you're so lost in affection for him that it isn't until he sits down on the couch next to you that you realize you haven't replied. "good morning," you say quickly, still a little distracted by how pretty he looks. shua likes calling you 'pretty boy', but in your opinion, no one could ever, ever beat shua at being pretty. the word was made for him.

joshua smiles mischievously at you and pulls you onto his lap. his shirtless chest and arms are warm as they close around you. he buries his face into the crook of your neck and mumbles, "what were you thinking about that had you so lost in thought, hm?"

you glance up at him, taking in the warm tones of his skin, the rich brown hues of his eyes, the way the sunlight filtering in through the windows dances across the lines of his face. "you."

shua laughs, a little flustered, and takes your hand in his, threading his fingers through yours. "your flirting is too much for me, prince, i'm swooning."

the nickname is one shua often uses for you, but it still has you melting. you avert your eyes from his and glance instead at the soft material of his sweatpants. "you're one to talk."

joshua grins at that and relaxes into the couch, tightening his grip around you. when you try and get up he frowns and pulls you closer, whining, "no, stay. for a little longer, okay?"

"but shua, it's—"

"sunday morning!" then he adds, "time to relax and cuddle with me. if you try and move, i'll start singing—"

"please, no." you reply flatly. you love shua's voice, but you've gotten sick of hearing sunday morning. you've heard him sing it so many times you could sing it in your sleep. "shua, i have to get up."

"nooo," he whines playfully. "stay, and then i'll make us breakfast later."

you level him with a serious look. "pancakes?"

he nods back, equally serious. "pancakes. with syrup and fruit and everything."

"hmm." you tilt your head to the side playfully, as if considering the offer, even though you know that there's nothing you want more than to stay close to him for eternity. "...alright then."

shua smiles smugly and presses a kiss to your exposed neck. "you look good in my sweatshirt, by the way."

you hadn't even noticed you'd worn his sweatshirt. maybe it had something to do with the uncomfortable restlessness and thoughts running through your head that caused you to wake up early. you'd grabbed his clothes to wear almost unconsciously, seeking comfort in the familiar softness, and the safe scent of joshua's clothes— sunlight and his strawberry shampoo.

"sorry," you start to reply, only for him to cut you off. "it's fine, love. like i said, you look good in it."

"thanks." then you smile at him. "you look good without it."

he gasps dramatically, looking down first at his shirtless chest, then at your playful smile. "y/n, i said i couldn't handle your flirting, are you trying to kill me?"

"but you're a bigger flirt," you counter. he hums and rests his chin on your shoulder. "only with you."

your gaze flickers up to meet his, and he leans in, lips slightly parted, his eyes shimmering with desire.

you angle your head up and press your lips to his, and his hand goes to rest against your back.

it's fine, you suppose. the pancakes can wait.

01. i'll see you there tomorrow: its v fun and chill.. its not superrr special to me but i like it ^_^ 8/10 (edit: after a few more listens it's become a 9/10 + the choreo is insanely good omfg the dance break is so. sooo. <3333)

02. deja vu: it was everything i'd expected and MORE omg their vocals were so powerful + the chorus is so so catchy omg <3 it's very easy to listen to.. it doesn't top srr for me but its close :3 say it say it say it say it louderrrr!1!!!1 9/10

03. miracle: LITERALLY PERFECT its so comforting and nostalgic, it reminds me a little of lo$er=lover.. it has that hopeful late night city drive vibe to it which i absolutely LOVE.. total comfort song, 10/10

04. the killa (i belong to you): tinnitus's partner in crime.. the crime of being too sexy <3 i still think tinnitus solos but this was good too. 7.5/10

It takes Soobin longer than he would care to admit to leave the couch, pressing one last kiss to your face before pulling away - no wait, just one more - before untangling his arms from around you and getting to his feet. He glances back at you on his way to get his jacket and you look so lonely there by yourself now, you pout at each other. There’s just one more thing he has to do before he can put on his shoes and go. You think he’s coming back for another kiss while he puts on his jacket, but when he raises it, it comes down and over you. He tucks it around your shoulders and you slip your arms through the sleeves, wearing it back to front. It’s big enough on you to act as a blanket, bonus, it smells like him. He smiles down at you and strokes your hair, and now he really has to go because he’s getting a call from his driver who is downstairs waiting.

Yeonjun

You exit the bathroom, all warm from your shower, into your bedroom and notice something strange. Your pillowcase was always white, and now it’s black. Your attention shifts to your boyfriend who stands at the end of your bed, smiling at you. He’ll tuck you in, he says. You climb into bed, eyeing the pillow again. Wasn’t it white? It’s his shirt, Yeonjun tells you, so you can fall asleep imagining it’s his chest your head is laying on. His eyes have that sparkle, his grin wide, the way he always looks when he does something cheesy like this, as he pulls the covers up around you. You turn to kiss him, but he’s leaning over to your nightstand, the tv suddenly turning on with your favourite movie ready to play on the screen.

Beomgyu

He pulls his arm out from under you ever so carefully, retreating from the bed so slowly it would look as if he was moving in slow motion; the sheets sound so loud to him when he’s trying to be quiet. Ten minutes ago you were chatting together, until he was talking and getting no reply; you were out like a light. He had told you that you didn’t have to stay awake and keep him company until his schedule, but you had insisted on spending as much time with him as you could get. Now he has to leave, but you’re laying on top of the duvet and he won’t be here to keep you warm and he doesn’t want you to get cold and wake up. He tiptoes out of the room and dashes to the cupboard, retrieves the fluffiest blanket of all and comes quietly back to spread it gently over you. You look so peaceful and adorable that he wants to kiss your cheek goodbye but he won’t risk it, backing towards the door and, with one final look, turns out the light. He can’t wait to come home.

Taehyun

You always have a later dinner on the nights Taehyun has a schedule. He’s always said you don’t have to wait and eat when he does, but you insist on having dinner with him. When you’re done eating, you sit and chat for a while, until it’s time for him to head off to work. He offers to help you tidy up the dishes, but you tell him that you’re going to put them away and head to bed - you usually go to bed early on the nights Taehyun works because you tend to wake up when he comes home very late. Saying goodbye, he slips his shoes on at the door and then he’s gone. You busy yourself with the plates, cleaning and drying, so much quicker a job with only dishes for two, and just when you’ve closed them inside the cupboard, you hear the door unlocking again. You turn with a smile, asking what he’s forgotten. This, he says, and scoops you up in his arms with a laugh, your arms winding around his neck in surprise, and carries you towards the bedroom. With one hand he pulls the covers back, then slides you gently into bed. His eyes are warm as ever as he tucks you in, resting his forehead against yours before kissing you. He really has to go now, he tells you, but he’ll be back to perform his big spoon duties in a few hours.

Huening Kai

He starts out by bringing just one of the plushies from his bed, placing it beside you under the covers. But before he knows it, whether because he wants to drag this out and not leave yet or because of the way you smile and snuggle the toy against your face, he makes another trip and comes back with five more in his arms. He strategically places them - one on either side of your middle, one on either side of your legs, and one on the end of the bed, “standing guard”, he explains.

absentmindedly playing with your hands.

it’s no secret that seungcheol loves holding hands with you, but sometimes he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it. when he’s talking to someone and you’re standing next to him, he’ll absentmindedly link pinky fingers with you and then eventually just take hold of your whole hand.

he does it often when he’s focused on other stuff, like if you’re watching a movie together. his eyes are fixed on the screen, but he has your hand in his, occasionally playing with your fingers or unconsciously drawing little patterns on your palm and stroking the back of your hand with his thumb.

massages whenever you seem stressed.

it’s like cheol has a sixth sense for when you’re tired or upset. he’ll silently sit by your side or stand behind you and place his hands on your shoulders. he’s great at giving massages, strong fingers knowing exactly how to work the tension out of your skin. he’ll use just enough pressure to make it feel good, all the while carefully gentle— he’d never want to hurt you. once he’s done and you’re sighing contentedly, he’ll hug you, murmuring, “d’you feel better now, baby?"

MINGYU.

letting you have a bite of food he’s preparing.

mingyu loves cooking for you. it’s one of his love languages, and you’re always the first person to get a taste of whatever he’s making— he adores the sparkle in your eyes when you take a bite of something yummy. plus he’s a sucker for your praise, and can’t help but smile smugly when you compliment his food.

he’ll call you over to the kitchen and feed you some, blowing on it to cool it down. he asks you how it tastes, carefully holding a hand under your chin just in case something drips from the spoon. when you tell him it’s good, the obvious pride on his face makes you laugh and call him cute.

it’s more than wanting other people to know you’re together. mingyu just likes the warmth of your hand in his. whenever you cross a road, he’ll make sure you’re holding hands, and if you’re in a crowded place together he’ll keep a firm grip on your fingers so you don’t get separated from him.

his favorite thing is taking walks in the park together, holding your hand in his and swinging them together as you walk. his natural body temperature is hotter than yours too, so if you say you’re cold he’ll immediately use his warm hands to heat you up.

WONWOO.

worrying about your safety.

one of wonwoo’s most endearing features is how he’s always watchful and attentive to you, pulling you to the side of the road when cars pass, picking cat hairs off your clothes or brushing a few stray crumbs from the corners of your lips.

in particular, he’s careful to make sure that you’re safe all the time. when he sees you stumble even slightly on a pavement crack, he’s reaching for you in panic, a hand outstretched, always ready to catch you if you fall.

whether it’s a picture of a cute cat he saw at work, a café that he went to with his friends or even the pretty leaves adorning the trees during fall, wonwoo loves to share small things about his day with you.

especially if the two of you are apart, he likes to send you pictures as a reminder that he’s thinking about you. even if you can’t experience these moments together, he can at least share them with you, and he would love it if you did the same.

even his friends have noticed how whenever you’re together, vernon’s eyes are always on you. watching you while you talk, eat, or simply do nothing— he can’t seem to be able to look away from you.

whenever you smile, the corners of his lips curve up into a smile too, fondness coloring his expression.

if the two of you are at a café with some friends, and you’re laughing at something they said, vernon will see you giggling and won’t even notice he’s started smiling too, his grin mirroring yours, until one of his friends teasingly points it out.

hugs from behind

vernon is quite comfortable when it comes to showing you physical affection. he likes being able to be in contact with you, even if it’s something small like having your shoulders touching or occasionally squeezing your hand.

his favorite thing to do is come up behind you and wrap his arms around you. he’ll simply hug you from behind and stand there, happy to have you in his arms, while you continue doing whatever you were doing. <3
