A short, ginger haired boy with one fully white eye and a few scars on his face walks into the main activity room, just staying silent. He wore a black hoodie with white eye outlines printed all over the sleeves and a few on the chest, with a large X taking up most of the space on the front of the hoodie. It’s clear that the hoodie doesn’t have strings, and the boy was also wearing scrub bottoms. His black glasses allowing him to see better.

This young adult seemed to be zoned out. However, he quickly comes back to reality and freezes up noticing that there are other people here.

He looked around, and spoke in a quiet, pained voice: “Hello.”

Does Virgil ever braid his hair? I bet it would be super easy to take care of that way!

Virgil doesn't like people touching his hair. He gets paranoid that you're going to kill him no matter the reassurances and likelihood. It's one of the reasons his hair is so long to begin with. He won't allow anyone to cut his hair, but he's not allowed sharp objects nor is he even allowed anything (such as a comb) unsupervised.

Patton has made impressive headway in gaining Virgil's trust in the 7 months he's been here. Virgil allowed Patton to brush his hair today (note: Hair care items are now allowed in the common room under mine or Dr. T. Sanders supervision)

It's a true testament of how positive attention works wonders. Virgil has become increasingly accepting towards new patients since Patton has shown he's overprotective to a fault to those he considers his "kiddos" and will protect him from everything and everyone even slightly threatening. Because of this Janus (or Dee) was able to get Virgil to accept him as nonthreatening and I've found them relaxing together in (mostly) silence.

I underestimated how much Dee as endeared himself to Virgil. Virgil allowed him to brush and braid his hair. I will see how this progresses as I'm hopeful that this means someone who's allowed scissors will finally be allowed to at least trim Virgil's hair.

Dee was finally able to trim Virgil's hair. Virgil has been expressing annoyance towards the length of his hair for a while now and I was able to convince him to let Dee shorten it while I stayed in the doorway. Dee was able to cut 8 inches off before Virgil met his tolerance limit for touching. Both are calmer in the hours since. I theorize this is because Dee feels happy with the trust he was shown and Virgil is relieved his trust of us didn't backfire (he's expressed fear that we're all lying to kill him when he least expects it) as well as having his hair at a slightly more manageable length.

Patton: PTSD, suffering from Psychosis and impulsivity

Roman: PTSD, Depression, suffering from Psychosis

Virgil: Extreme Paranoia

Logan: Narcissism and borderline sociopathy, with possibly to be released soon with outpatient therapy

Dee: Tourettes and Compulsive Lying

Remus: PTSD, Depression, Chronic Insomnia, and Schizophrenia, suffering from catatonia, hallucinations, and violent outbursts

Just an update to tell you why I haven't posted or answered any of my asks. My own mental health hasn't been great these last few months and I seem to be having a negative reaction to my meds lately. I apologize and hope to get back into this story again soon, but I just haven't had the spoons to draw much of anything. Sorry and have a great day 💚

Well, busy and depressed. A lot of stuff has gone down in my rl. So when I had time, I had a hard time finding motivation to pick up my pencil to draw anything. I do feel bad about not answering you faster, but sometimes it's just hard to draw what I want. Sorry
