Okay, so I was thinking about the portrait in the west wing and I couldn't help but think there should of been more pieces of art feat. The Prince all dotted around the castle. I feel like the Beast would have attempted to destroy most of them, but given the fact that he never frequented the library until Belle came... this rather dramatic looking bust just slipped his notice.

AU fic want…

I’ve seen plenty of posts circulating in the BatB fandom regarding the fact that the Beast was cursed as an eleven-year-old and how unfair that was…but you know what untapped potential I’ve never seen addressed? Belle could have somehow stumbled upon the castle *before* the final year of the curse.

Childhood friends AU anyone???

Like…they’re both just kids at this point, the Beast is just an angry little fluffball that doesn’t look very threatening but he’s still all surprised that Belle isn’t scared of him. But she realizes that *he’s* the one who’s scared of his own shadow and immediately decides they’re going to be friends, and he’s going to stop being a brat and share his toys and they’ll get along just fine.

And even though this weird peasant girl is a little bossy and way too excited about books, the Beast is kind of awestruck by how nonchalant she is about having a monster friend.

(Someone please wanna write this AU?)
