And so ends a great day at the Adventure Travel Show! Inspirational adventure in its simplest form Dave Cornthwaite, amazing insights into the realistic adventure in the Polar Extremes from Justine Gosling and stories from the desert with Leon McCarron. Had a great chat with the SayYesMore team and will be hopefully volunteering with them very soon! Then Adventure Planning with the seemingly always positive and buzzing Pip Stewart and massively experienced Duncan Milligan from TourdeForce - such a massive day can only be topped off with a Nando's! Hopefully tomorrow is as productive, inspiring and useful! #inspiration #adventure #eductation #travel #blogger #adventuretime #planning (at Olympia London)

Training is not just physical, but also mental. There are days where you feel like you can’t face getting up to run in the wind and the cold or face the gym, small niggles are accentuated by the mind to feel bigger than they are, your brain goes into protect mode and tells you to go back to sleep. But in those days you HAVE to get up, MAKE yourself move, one foot in front of the other, one rep at a time. If you don’t, you will be physically in debt, you will put yourself behind. When you DO gain momentum, it doesn’t matter what the distance, it doesn’t matter how many reps, you are going through the motions and inadvertently training your mind and body to work when they don’t want to. You are that much closer to your goal, and you are that much stronger, because that training is in the bank, and it adds up with everything else you do that week, to push you forward. NEVER GIVE UP. #drivenbysomethingdifferent #wednesdaywisdom #motivationalquotes #motivation #running #earlybird #driven #trailrunning

Really getting in to early morning training, this was 500m intervals at 5:30am. While everyone else is sleeping, I am watching the world start the day. #16marathons #wednesdaywisdom #humpday #training #earlybird #running #trailrunning #marathon

The Three Peaks Rope Climb was the hardest challenge I have undertaken to date. Hosted by the National Indoor Ice Climbing Centre, @ice_factor in Kinlochleven. The legend that is @darren_pyke_photography_ caught these epic shots, however just at the point that I was struggling to reach 500 reps.. ‘The wall’ came in the guise of a gym Rope that day... all to raise money for the Mountain Rescue Teams of Lochaber, Wasdale and Llanberis, an amazing cause. The fund raising page will remain open for another two weeks: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/athleteadventure - SEARCH ATHLETE ADVENTURE AT VIGINMONEYGIVING Sponsored by the EPIC @ufitdrinks and their amazing protein packed shakes and new Crunchers protein crisps 👍 I can thank them enough! Three Peaks Rope Climb
The main thing I learned from the Three Peaks Rope Climb is that you can genuinely achieve anything you want to achieve.  All you need to do is believe it, have the courage to speak it, train for it and it will happen.  Even when your goal feels impossible, hold strong and keep going.  Never Quit.

UFIT assisting the Three Peaks Rope Climb
Throughout my journey to the Three Peaks Rope Climb, I was fortunate to be sponsored by UFIT who specialise in protein drinks that are dominating 55% of the protein shake domain.  It is an absolute privilege to have had them on side and test their products out to the limit.  This review should identify the how these amazing products can enhance your training, no matter you’re your athletic adventure.
Though 25hrs of training a week for 10 weeks, UFIT drinks were instrumental in providing a clean source of protein that was low in fat and without added sugar.  Throughout my training, I would be having about 6 shakes a day! Although, it’s safe to say that training to climb a 15ft rope over 700 times distances me somewhat from normal society!

The #threepeaksropeclimb was massively supported by @ufitdrinks protein milkshakes and their brand new #crunchers. These are truly epic products and I would have up to 6 shakes a day on more intensive training days. My review on their products is now live on my website, link in my bio #activeish #mypursuit #itscrunchtime #adventureblog #nutritionstrategies #fitnessfood #protein #gainz (at Kinnerley)

2018 is here and so is the new challenge. In April 2018 I will be running 16 marathons in 16 days in all 16 of the UK’s National Parks. This will be to raise awareness of he importance of National Parks through my website, social media and blog; where I aim to identify how their management and operations differ throughout the UK and what they do for the wildlife and environment of our wild places and countryside. This project also aims to support the initiative to form the worlds first National Park City (the 16th National Park). Currently I am attempting (!) to gain placement on the Virgin Money London Marathon as the climax of this project, tying the 16 Marathon Project with the London Marathon and the Greater London National Park City. #mondaymotivation #16marathons (at England)

Here’s to 2017 and the first year of Athlete Adventure. This has been an amazing year of adventures, from piecing together a sketchy winter to trekking in Nepal, racing the Tour of Cambridge, working with the Army Mountaineering Association, solidifying a true climbing friendship with the LEGEND that is @mountainthirst and pushing limits on summer climbing, racing the @glencoeskyline and @velobirmingham and topping the year off with the #threepeaksropeclimb world first challenge. Thank you to everyone who has helped, sponsored, likes, shared, listened to me rabbit on about challenges and offer guidance to make 2017 what it has been! Time to drink into 2018 and start the next challenge... #2017bestnine #2017

Interesting conditions in Coire an t-Sneachda, today. Very loose unconsolidated powder made hard going and swimming conditions towards to top, turf frozen (but could do with more) very little strong ice but definitely still climbable. Hidden Chimney today with @mountainthirst was still good, despite being busy. Top section was particularly loaded with loose powder built through the day. Descended in full white out conditions on the from the plateau in the dark. (at Cairngorms National Park)
