Now this airport has an approval of hosting a Green-Field cargo airport in Alwar district of Rajasthan. This is because at present, they had to travel all the way to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport to take flights with extra travelling time of 3 - 4 hours. The proposed site of airport is very close to State highway SH-22A connecting Palwal and Aligarh. It will also be connected with Palwal - Kurja Expressway. The current site is also connected with 100 metre wide Eastern Peripheral Expressway (passing through Yamuna Expressway at Formula one Track) connecting Palwal, Manesar, Gaziabad, Bhagpat and Meerut.

Proposal has also been given for connecting the two prominent airports in Delhi-NCR, IGI and Jewar airport. 1. Shape

Shape is the physical outline of the gem which can be heart shaped, round, oval, rectangle, triangle, pear, square and a mix of these basic shapes. Because of the cutting yields and market demands, there are some shapes which make a premium. Ovals and cushions are the most common shapes for colored stones like sapphires and rubies. 2. Cutting Style

Another subjective choice is the pattern of the facets of the gem or its cutting style. Certain cutting styles also fetch premiums, the standard being the mixed cut – step pavilion/brilliant crown, for rubies and sapphire.

3. Proportions

There are two parts of a faceted gem – crown and pavilion. The crown creates scintillation by catching light while the pavilion’s job is to create scintillation and brilliance.

Windows & Extinctions – windows are created by shallow pavilions which decrease the brilliance of the gem. Well cut gems return light as brilliance i.e. bright reflections. Extinctions are created by deep pavilions which are dark areas from where no light is reflected.

Depth Percentage – is the ratio of depth and diameter of the gem and is 65% to 80% for sapphire and ruby gems.

Length-to-Width Ratio – is the length over width, a measurement for non-round stones.

4. Symmetry

Well-cut gems have fine symmetry and appreciate attention to detail. Following symmetry defects can occur:

· Too narrow or deep clefts in heart shapes

· Asymmetrical outline

· Misalignment of crown and pavilion

· Off-center keel line

· Too narrow or too wide shoulders in pears and heart shapes

Heat Treated Gem Stones

Thermal enhancement or heat treatment is one of the most common ways of treating gem stones to increase their quality in terms of color and uniformity. Those in the business have been experimenting with heat treating gems for over a hundred years and consistent results have been gathered in recent decades. Not all precious stones can withstand heat treatment, so only stones that have the ability to tolerate high temperatures are subjected to thermal enhancement. The stones which are heat sensitive have a delicate balance and tampering with temperature destroys that balance.

Types of Heating

There have been different methods of heating gems (such as sapphires and rubies) in place for as long as treaters have been working with gems. The type of treatment, its duration, the changes in temperature, and the rate of change all vary depending upon the type of gem, the utilized machinery, and the purpose of the treatment. Many gem treaters have their own special method which has been tried and tested successfully many times. They guard such method as a royal secret, because methods that lead to better quality and luster give them an edge over their competitors.

Most commonly, heat enhancement is carried out in ovens or kilns which are maintained at temperatures of 200 to 2000 degrees Centigrade. The gems to be heated are packed in a container with sand so that the temperature of the gem rises steadily and it does not undergo thermal shock. More advanced kilns and ovens have a controlled environment where gases like oxygen and other air-borne substances such as dust and impurities cannot reach the stones. The oldest of methods are very makeshift, which resemble a campfire.

Simple Heat Treatment

Simple heat treatment is akin to heating food in an oven. Stones like zircon, tourmaline, and aquamarine are treated this way. By increasing the temperature, the electrons are able to move from bonds, which changes the valency of the atoms. This change in valency is responsible for the difference of color in the treated stones.

Treating Sapphires and Rubies

Sapphires and rubies can be treated by simple heating or by complex processes depending on the purpose of heating and the type of crystal. Guide for Choosing the Right Load Cell

1. Accuracy

Determine your loading accuracy needs for repeatability and non-linearity. Accuracy is normally expressed as a percentage of full scale output (±%FSO). The rated load of the load cell is referred to as the full scale output.

Temperature Compensation

You might want to compensate a load cell for thermal errors to ensure high accuracy in a wide range of temperatures. For temperature compensation, determine your thermal errors which are expressed as ±%FSO/⁰C or per degree Fahrenheit.

2. Performance

The parameters for performance of a load cell are as follows:

· Mechanically dependent (mechanical build and design)

· Environment dependent (effects of humidity, temperature, etc)

· Time dependent (zero return, creep)

The separation of these three parameters is practically impossible. So you need to focus on your load cell needs, such as operation of the system, ranges of temperature, overload conditions, etc., to ensure optimum performance of your load cell.

3. Mechanical Constraints

For a suitable mechanical design and build, consider the following three properties for your load cell:

a) Mounting of Load Cell
