In my delusional headcanon phantom companions can cloak themselves to yk not be blazing infernos in the shape of animals and they bleed argent. Also sharing the soul of their owner thus they feel the same pain. They are perfectly in sync and move as one

speak your truth op, they will call me delusional for this and they are right but this scene weather intended or not really feels like foreshadowing to the civil war, the different armor styles on each side of the slayer really give it a divided feel, especially since the green armor is close to what the marauder wears, idk i'm not sure it was intentional but this scene really makes me think about the civil war

Random headcanon but I like to think this specific Marauder here is the: "You were never one of us," one from Eternal.

"You were never one of us," when the Slayer walked along side them to battle, the 'us' being the Night Sentinels which they themselves betrayed by kissing Maykr ass and created a divide and civil war that the Sentinels did not need after discovering the absolute horrors of the factories and it ultimately led to the further fall of their civilization, they label the Slayer as an usurper when they fight for the actual usurper; the Khan Maykr and in turn the Dark Lord - it's hypocritical but purposefully thematically hypocritical, the Marauders have come to demonic corruption that they don't see that and that's one of the most interesting but tragic things I really like about them I don't see get talked about enough.
