Mini rant for no reason (there is a reason, in making sdv mods sometime in the future and need furniture ideas)

BUT

I hate it, absolutely loathe it when people take a perfectly good piece of nice, dark brown furniture with good wood and quality stain.. and then SAND IT AND PAINT IT FUCKING

BEIGE.

Not stain it beige. Not seal it with a clear coat. THEY PAINT IT. BEIGE. OF ALL COLORS.

not only does this make the wood grain not stand out as much, but also you picked one of the MOST BORING SHADES OF OFF-WHITE TO EXIST. If you're gonna paint it, at least pick something with a little bit of god damn pop, you wannabe HGTV show host. Good lord. Have some god damn taste.

A bit of class wouldn't be amiss either but let's be real you so desperately want it and can't have it BECAUSE YOU TURNED AN ANTIQUE BEDSIDE TABLE WITH LOVELY VARNISH AND WOOD STAIN INTO SOMETHING THAT LOOKS LIKE IT BELONGS IN A DOCTOR'S OFFICE.

The nerve.

Okay, so this is one of my D&D characters (I haven't finished the other guy yet) and he'll probably show up in my own campaign. He's technically originally a lolth-sworn drow paladin (despite, if I remember right, most paladins in the OG D&D lore needing to be moral and lawful) but tbh? I will probably make him, at least in my homebrew campaign I'm building, a paladin of a different god. And probably change his name. Right now his name, Varyn, isn't exactly the most suited for him. Idk, I'll think of something.

BUT FOR NOW, I CONSIDER THIS PIECE DONE. Maybe I'll redraw him in the future though.

So, I'm currently working on a commission for someone (this isn't it) but I made this piece a while ago for a dear friend of mine! It's passed by now but I didn't wanna post it anywhere near their birthday for the simple fact that I didn't want to risk people potentially figuring out their birthday. I'm posting this now because I plan to use this as an example when I officially open up commissions. But here's a pic I did of Donatello! ..and honestly I might do more of him in the future cause I had a blast doing this one when I originally did it.
