and then we have jeremy breaking free from his past, shredding the guilt and blame that has made him so deeply insecure he seeks his own "contrition" in the form of heartless "lovers" who have never respected him to finally letting himself be loved the way he's always wanted. jeremy walking away from his family who will never see past that blame, and who will never accept him for who he is and who he loves. jeremy choosing to say "yes i love that boy that everyone thinks is going to be another 'mistake'" because he's anything but, he's actually going to be the one who sets jeremy free and builds him up, and stays by his side. jeremy walking away and choosing his passion for exy in one last act of defiance because it wasn't the cause for what happened with his brother, that was the drugs and that was his family not giving a shit about each other. if anything exy saved him, his desire to keep playing, to be the best captain, his friendship with laila who he met through exy, the rest of the trojans, kevin, JEAN. their unwavering faith in his talent.
