make essays about the songs you love. make a journal of all the things you love. do this! write about them! i feel like it is the same thing i do with my books: i write on the margins the things i find especially lovely, i highlight words, i write my thoughts/memories/dreams on it. i find the process of marking something akin to sacredness–the way we inhabit and make a home of things that we feel connected to; the beauty and profoundness of touching the things that touch us.
