I literally show my students who are upset that they'll never draw well enough his art.

ethics of making AI images aside, I do find a bit amusing the kinds of sob stories and mental gymnastics people make up to pretend like drawing is this super technical skill with an impossibly high barrier of entry when its like one of the first hobbies toddlers pick up

suddenly a lot of people think they got the next Lord of the Rings in their head but they were never able to turn their stories into anything tangible because the evil elitist artists are hogging all the talent and skill and they need a bajilion years of training or something as if one of the most popular manga and anime of the past decade wasn't made by a guy that draws like this

there is a post I hate about "My art teacher didn't teach me this one aspect of this one media." And like. Do you know how many media there are in art? Hint: A hecking lot. Do you know how many aspects and ways a single media can be used? A heckin lot more. It would be impossible to teach every aspect of every media in any kind of general art class. I teach JUST watercolors and have spent years learning everything they do, I can only show students so much in a 10 hours class. Do you know what I am willing to bet an art teacher HAS taught you? How to read the label. How to test out and experiment with media. How to do research on what it does and how it's historically been used. (And, my spicy teacher take: Guess which are the least popular assignments that students most often act like I'm being a stick in the mud to assign? The assignments around experimenting and researching. DO YOUR ^RF(&%*Y VALUE PRACTICES)

I'm only saying this for your sake, but objectively, it's not a smart idea to bring politics into normal hobbies. You might lose supporters of your blog just because of your political stance, and that would be terrible since you're so amazing!! It's only a suggestion, but I really reccomend not bringing politics into anything.
