I'm so original. If you are wondering I only update the comic on the weekend. Why? Because not a whole lot of comic artists do and I find it easier to work on the strip those days. Growing Up Hobbit 006- Disneyland Conversion

After having a ridiculously stressful year my wookie and I decided to head south. Earlier that year my sister started working at Disneyland and my boyfriend had never been. He was slightly cynical (Disney=Evil empire) But they know how to do it right. My sister, her friend and boyfriend all work at Disneyland (well California Adventure)  and practically lived there beforehand. Either way he had a blast.

I hate this one. I really really do. I had just started online school and was under tremendous amounts of stress. I lost whatever style I was going for at this juncture. I just made it simple to explain why I was shutting down.

I would like to say this is embarrassing  however this was a practice test once I had purchased my tablet. As you can see I still had trouble finding my style. 

A little about the story in this one. in 2009 a black cat showed up at my work a day before my birthday. A coworker proudly dubbed him "Nostradamus" and my boyfriend gladly brought him home and he was immediately part of the family. However a year later or so his asshole side was starting to override his awesome side (seriously he was learning to open doors and would play tag with me). Then one day he got out of the apartment and we couldn't find him for three days I spiraled into a massive depression. This was mostly a way to let loose my conflicting emotions about not having him around.

The second strip obviously still done traditional method. One thing I love about digitally making comics now...I don't have to write out dialogue. My handwriting is awful. (This was at a time both my boyfriend and our room mate had a 3 month long marathon of Modern Warfare 2 or 3) I was literally having dreams of shooting people in a raid type situation. This was my way of releasing frustration. Original title "Games and Girlfriends"

This is what spawned Growing up Hobbit. Original Title "New Age of Feminism" At this point I hadn't really found my style yet, or my most prized possession Wacom Intous tablet. This was done on normal notebook paper with a sharpie. It's not *that* bad but I will probably redraw this into the new style eventually. (As you can also see I have a bit of an issue with perspective as well)

Welcome to Growing up Hobbit!

Hello Everyone! So after almost two years of trying to make this comic and going through hell to get the time do so, I have officially made a tumblr for it. Now please bear with me I have no idea what this tumblr nonsense is and will probably take a moment to try.

Growing Up Hobbit is a bit of semi-autobiographical comic of what it means to grow up while trying to keep the childlike wonder of youth. And by that I mean crazy stupid situations happen to me regularly and I like to draw out those situation and giggle like a maniac. This was the first title poster I did for the comic but I have refined my style since then. 

Warning occasionally there will be crude humor and language. If you don't like it now you won't like it later. I don't want to hear complaining about it. Or maybe I do. I for the most part try to keep it clean but life is dirty and so are we. Deal with it!

With that said lets begin!
