front /// back
I'm super happy with this one and how it turned out.
this is obviously a higher-class outfit, something all species could wear but diavolo would likely be the most probably wearer of an outfit like this.

Ok, how to articulate my thoughts on serial liking? I kinda don’t understand it. Does anyone actually go back through their likes, like to find things? Ruminate? Contemplate?
On the one hand, I’m just glad for some attention paid to my bad ass motherfucking blog. You see me. I see you.
But waking up to 50 to 100 notifications, usually from some guy with a bunch of thin or hourglass broads all over his blog, with no reblogs of your own original content feels like...a backhanded compliment? I can see why ladies feel the need to ban or block for the behavior.
Like, I’m trying not to judge your intentions, but it don’t feel good on my end. I try really hard to curate a nice blog AND produce quality content of my own. It doesn’t have to be your cup of tea but I don’t understand the behavior of spending so much time there, throwing those hearts around, only to reblog...nothing.
I feel like the last time I tried to say anything about having my content reblogged, I got a snippy reply about someone running a classical art blog and my content not fitting those parameters. I get it, I do. I don’t think I’m speaking to you....
If you post women’s bodies like all the time and go to a woman’s blog and like 100 of her pictures but not post any to your blog full of women, like what is she supposed to think?
Honest answers please, no fucking saltiness.

I'm actually getting really depressed that most people are just hiding my posts in their likes and never reblogging anymore. Am I doing something wrong? Because reblogs are what I need in order to even keep making content in the first place and now it seems like no one even likes my content enough to reblog it anymore. I haven't made more than $10 in MONTHS because advertising here isn't working anymore and idk why. I'm actually barely keeping my head above water to keep making content for you guys and I just wish someone would tell me if I'm not doing a good enough job or something 🫠 I just want to know why I get maybe two reblogs a day that aren't my own reblogs to boost my own content like where am I going wrong? I'm tired of notification after notification of likes. Especially when someone goes and serial likes all my posts without reblogging a single one. I'm TIRED

Tumblr media
concept #7
this one moves completely away from the modern day wraps and shows a more ancient style. either pre or post oppression era; the layers are heavier and restrict some movement but not to the extent of what it was like during the oppression era.
directly inspired by renaissance portaits and historical analyses
comprised of 5 layers
undergarments
chamice
petticoat (as seen in white)
dress/coat; black body
skirt; darker than coat. more layers of skirt and the more elaborate designs signifies higher status
stomacher; not shown here, identical to real life stomachers. compliments the coat and is pinned in place to hide lacing.
sleeves and sash, separate from the rest of the outfit. can be any level of ornate.
an additional layer of a sheer robe is also common (not shown here)

concept 6.5!
redid this and took away the wrap robe-- im wayyy happier with it and it's a great introduction to non wrap-around styles. of course theres still the body wrap.

concept #6 (maybe)
tried a more fancy sleeve type based off of pre-16th century fashion (huggggge range there, i know, but so many eras use separated sleeves and have poofy petticoats sticking out)
im not that happy with the wrap style for this one tbh! might completely forego it and try a lighter approach.

Tumblr media
fashion concept #4 (maybe??)
originally made this similar to just a tank top and high waist pants. but then i had the thought, wouldnt they wrap it over rather that pull it over their head? then i had to figure out if i wanted to add a torso wrap/sash or not. i decided to just make the pants even higher.
i also realized i havent been adding pockets to pants so this one has 3+ pockets lol
ik ive used this type of bottom like three times now but grrr i love it actually. and there are plenty of species who would benefit from looser bottoms like these.

unfinished/abandoned outfit concept
originally drew out a long layered skirt to go with it but i really didnt like it.
basically just shows collar/chest covers that arent in the typical wrap.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
fashion concept #3(.5)
shows a more ornamental layering with less jewelry and accessories. i like the blue one more overall, but the yellow one is something a mage, harpy, or elf would wear so i wanted to leave it in too.
i want to reiterate that the body wrap (light brown) is NOT a corset. certain areas actually do feature corsets. this is not that. these are comparable to obi. though obviously not 1:1

Fashion concept #2.
this one is more geared towards a warmer climate/more adventerous personality.
went for a more earthy color palette this time to show they use natural dyes.
less ornaments show the practicality of the wearer. whereas the first concept shows a more high class/reserved individual. (still in middle class)

Tumblr media
fashion example #1.
i want to explore the fashion and typical outfits of my oc world gaia, this is one of the first designs I've made.
layers are very common, a remnant from oppression era fashion--though instead of layers being restricting, theyre more form fitting and practical.
layers can be for warmth, security/protection, and adds lots of areas to store items.
a wearer first gets into under garmets and wears a petti-coat like protective layer on their torso. petticoats can be plain with the goal of being underneath outerwear, or can have ornate collars, slweves, and hems to poke out. from there, a robe-like shirt is worn. this is bulky material, stiffer than the petticoat. one side is typically longer than the other.
the robe is tightly secured with a wrap around fabric, which is further secured by an ornate sash/tie which is situated and tied on the back. some choose to attach ornaments or jewels to the wrap around.
pants vary greatly from individual due to tail size, thickness, absence, and general climate. golden threads are often seen on pants.
arm bands, bracelets, and gloves are common accessories. gloves, like inner robes, are often asymmetrical. the longer side being on the dominant hand.
