HIGHS: Carrying around a lipstick with a star-shaped bullet, ie. Moonstar Lipstick, ie. one of Pandoria's favorite items in the game

LOWS: Someone pulling me aside to tell me they didn't like using Zeke and Pandoria in the game. Cool story bro?

FIRSTS: Coloring Lucina's hair blue with regular art pastels was surprisingly effective!

HIGHS: We went on several walks to find the perfect branch. Making the lollipops out of Sculpey was so cute and fun!

LOWS: I got a mouth sore from eating so many lollipops.

Another technically complex costume with a lot of firsts. First time making puffy sleeves and ruffles. First time making bottoms from scratch. I'm wearing ridiculously frilled bloomers and you can't even see them, but they're providing the support for that poofy skirt silouette. First time working with rhinestones and sequins. First time using eyeshadow for cosplay, both on my eyelids, and to color the Kyubey hat, inner ear and tips.

First time cosplaying with my future wife :) First time we've comissioned an artist in the alley to draw something on the spot (you can see it in the 3rd picture propped against the window).

First (and only) time I was sexually assaulted in cosplay, the Hetalia fandom is sometimes wildly offensive. Also the first and only time I participated in a con panel, in-character. This also marks the end of the Glue Phase, ie. I had access to a sewing machine again.

HIGHS: I was pleasantly shocked that I was actually recognized

LOWS: If you use a Sharpie to draw stuff on pantyhose while you are wearing it, the Sharpie gets onto your legs too

FIRSTS: First time wearing makeup for a cosplay! I remember fondly the blue eye pencil I bought from Sephora.

HIGHS: A childhood dream-- Ami was my favorite growing up

LOWS: I did not break in my boots, so halfway through the day, I limped into the Urban Outfitters across the way and bought some ratty cloth slippers. I wore the slippers for the rest of the con and only changed back to the boots for photos. The slippers were so flimsy that as soon as I got home, I threw them away since they were already coming apart at the seams.

Taiwan from Hetalia

First time cosplaying a girl! Or a country for that matter. Also the first time I cosplayed outside the U.S. I didn't wear this to any convention, but instead to a Hetalia meetup in Budapest.
