That makes sense
Unrelated to the ask game, what is Ahsoka and Barriss' favorite food?
I think their standards have both been too horribly warped to really have a specific favorite.
Ahsoka is so pragmatic she'll eat anything in front of her assuming it's digestible for Togruta. She spent her teen years acclimating to MREs.
Barriss also spent years eating military rations and prison food. She just wants anything fresh. Anything indicative of a functional ecosystem, or farmland that hasn't burned to the ground. She leans vegetarian but has been in too many desperate survival situations to be strict about it. That preference doesn't stop her from trying to cook proper meals for her favorite obligate carnivore, though that's as much out of love as it is to make Ahsoka stop eyeing the ysalamiri.

Interesting!
Imagining the political and religious fallout of the Oblivion Crisis
There are actual in-lore examples of what happened after the crisis, but besides vague mentions of civil wars and the Aldmeri Dominion completely rewriting history and denying Martin's involvement in ending the Crisis, there's not a lot of detail on what happened. So here are some of my opinions/headcannons about the post-Oblivion Crisis empire:
What happened to Martin would spark fierce theological debates and possibly even small-scale holy wars for the next two centuries within the Imperial Cult leading schisms, censoring, and violent labeling of rival dissidents as heretics.
Imperial loyalist/traditionalists would try to utilize definition loopholes to insist that there's no evidence that Martin actually died and therefore is still technically emperor.
Some religious zealots (Calaxes Septim types) would go even further to insist that not only is Martin not dead, but that he also ascended to godhood like his ancestor Tiber/Talos and -since he has no know mortal heirs- the empire should revert to a strict theocracy, not entirely unlike in the days of the Alessian Order, just polytheistic.
Petty lords and council members would scramble to fill the enormous power void left by the line of emperors, some out of genuine concern for the unity and stability of the empire, others out of greed and power lust, pushing themselves or their chosen champions as contenders for the Ruby Throne
There would be dozens if not hundreds of phony heirs (think of princess Anastasia contests) and distant relations popping out the woodwork of Tamriel to vie for recognition. Some would develop devoted followings amongst the citizenry and actually end up inciting peasant riots. There would be assassinations and backstabbing and chaos.
Sensing blood in the water, the provinces will naturally start to test the limits of the Elder Councils ability to govern, taking advantage of the political turmoil and collapse of Imperial infrastructure to invade their neighbors, seize lands, and become more or less autonomous until the war with the Dominion eventually forces them to take sides.
By 3E 433, the dust would have barely settle from the Warp in The West, the upheaval caused by the Crisis and ensuing Imperial breakdowns, would reignite old strifes and lead to new wars between feudal states in the Illiac bay region.
The collapse of infrastructure and security across the empire would be a nightmare on shipping and mercantile industries, and crops lands would realistically have been devastated throughout Tamriel by the invasion causing shortages and trade disruptions and even mass starvation and outbreaks of disease in some places.
There's a lot more detail you could go into here if you broke it down province by province, but I think this paints a decent overall picture of the absolute chaos that would follow the end of a dynasty and an apocalyptic scale natural disaster like the Oblivion Crisis.

you don't understand just how monumentally stupid shooting that Australian reporter with a rubber bullet live on tv was. That reporter works for Channel Nine which is, I would argue, Australia's most conservative free to air tv channel. And keep in mind that most people in Australia don't have cable. It is owned by the Packer family, the gambling tycoons who own Crown Casinos and are friends of the Murdoch family. More specifically, James Packer and Lachlan Murdoch are friends and have done business deals together in the past (to not a great success). Americans might be more familiar with Lachlan's work overseeing Fox News for the past decade or so.
Up until that shot was fired, that reporter was giving the mildest of reporting. The bare bones of what was physically happening on the ground without the context needed to understand why the protesters were there in the first place. It was designed to look unbiased whilst leading people to side with the cops. And then you shot her in the leg.

If you鈥檙e still doing the asks, I鈥檇 love to hear #27 wrt Truth In Legends.
27. What is a question that you never get asked about your fics that you really want to answer?
I'm surprised how little people ask anything about Barriss's lightsaber, especially since the damn thing is sentient and reflective of her unfiltered emotions. It's pieced together out of discarded, antiquated components because Barriss had nothing else to work with. It's special, not because it's superior, but because there is something uniquely wrong with it, and no one except Barriss would want it. It refuses to be used against her. It will burn anyone who tries wielding it without permission. There鈥檚 no biometrics or other technology involved, the saber knows when an enemy picks it up and it gets angry. It starts out chaotic and unreliable, then stabilizes, then becomes able to spread that uncertainty through other weapons. After all her growth, her Jedi crystal gets reincorporated back into it. It's got Light/Fire Juxtaposition with Ahsoka's white lightsabers.
On a lighter note, there's this bit from Returning Conquerors:
Barriss in Chapter 1: Ahsoka, I am not a tooka, stop treating me as if I were a tooka!
The saber in Chapter 3: *purring in Ahsoka's hand* I'll be your tooka. I'll be anything you want. Do you need a hound? I can bark.
Ask me questions!

This is "i will now do it once again, as a bit" but worse
i've noticed that since watching your video about it i've started using /hj more often. partly because i didn't know much about tone indicators at the time, but i also specifically use /hj more than any other tone indicator now. i think i'm using it ironically (as in internet definition, not literary definition) because i know it's a bad tone indicator. thoughts?
(also as a side note i do have a specific meaning for it when i use it but (a) i know that's not helpful if the other person disagrees with my interpretation and (b) you don't want to hear it)
why are you telling me this

Ah, but you see, you have the text "unalive in a vehicular accident" in your post, clearly a mature topic.
The nearly nude girls? No, no, that's not mature, that's money

Just a couple of ads on tumblr that I screencapped for no reason. I've had text posts with the phrase "die in a car crash" in them get age restricted just btw. Unrelated.

Yo Mr. Misali, have you seen the latest "Taskmaster" episode? (S19E5). It has a rather... evocative title.
who the heck is Mr. Misali

(genuine question) What is the Mr./Ms./Mrs. equivalent for non-binary people? If there's not a general one, what's your preferred title? (English isn't my first language, so I don't know what "Mr./Ms./Mrs." is actually called)

There are some aeldari and ork rules in the core book. And supplements give more options for xeno "classes" and added the Kroot as a racial option. There are no necrons, no tau, no Votann and no tyranid options (yet).
Does anyone play Wrath & Glory?
I've got a question. I want to create my OC's using the game system. I'm not involved in any games. It just would be nice to just have a character sheet. You know, name, stats, that kind of thing?
I'm not sure if you can make xenos characters. On the surface of it, it just looks like the imperium only.
Just a thought.
