Home Sweet Home...
I took this photo a while ago, but I wanted to show off my beloved cactus fountainâwhich now runs water!! It was broken for the longest time, and you wouldn't believe what I had to kill in the sewers to get it working again...
Anyway, the town just gets prettier and prettier each day, I think! Anyone wanna invest in a nice vacation home? đ

Heheh, you think so? Theo does call me "pumpkinhead" sometimes..
Do you guys have Halloween plans, by the way? I'm gonna be pumpkin carving, and then we're going to have a pumpkin FEAST, complete with pumpkin pie, pumpkin mousse, pumpkin soufflĂ©, pumpkin shortbreadâand most importantly, pumpkin ramen!!

I met a Lorax for the first time!
His name was the Bankax, and...how should I describe him? Shortish, oldish, brownish, mossy...and he was in charge of our dear little Cashtie, whoâs actually a full grown adult Once-ler in their home realm. Apparently the notorious Cashtea-ler makes a habit of inviting people to his casino, striking deals with them and then stealing their souls. Pretty crazy, right?
But Iâm probably even crazier...because I told the Bankax that Iâd help him take down Cashtea and free all the trapped souls. Mmmmaybe it was against my better judgement, since Iâd...also risk losing my soul, haha. But!! Mister Bankax was just so cute, okay?? And he even let me harvest two large bags of truffula fruit to take home with me! Thatâs SO MANY more seeds we can plant in town...so if this is what you call being charmed by a forest spirit, I guess Iâm okay with it.
...And..you know, it just seemed like heâd been having a rough time fighting all alone for so many years. I could relate to that.
I also still believe that thereâs some good left in Cashtea. Heâs just under some kind of curse, is all, and I know very well that curses can be broken.

Birthday Calamities
I still remember all the things I used to do when I was the resident zombie slayer at Somâs factory. These would include, but not be limited to, factory âsweepsâ to make sure there werenât any zombies in or around the factory, rooftop lookouts, digging hole traps, listening to the radio, making all kinds of soups, learning guitar, building pillow forts in the gaymes room, sleeping huddled up together on a giant Once-ler bed, and most of all, changing bandages.
Space and time are warped out there, though, so I donât even know who all still remembers those times anymore, but I hope theyâll at least stay with me forever. I...wouldnât be the same person without them.
And for the record, I know two Soms. The other Som is the one from my alternate beach life, whom I officially got reunited with shortly after I arrived at camp. He's also very dear to me, so at least I still have him.
What else was I going to say..oh yeah. Does anyone else ever get the jitters on certain days of the year, due to bad things having happened on those days in the past? I hope thatâs a totally normal thing. For me, itâs unfortunately always when September the 16th approaches..

Archery 101 with Fellow Adventurer Nenela!! (feat. Bean â„)
[Catdrey art by Chase]
I should probably say something again about my actual job at summer camp, huh? Itâs been a pleasure teaching archery to kids, despite being forced to have the younger ones use plunger arrows instead of real arrows (yes, Iâm still upset over that), and mainly itâs just been really cool to give them that confidence boost through archery.
Also, a secret: I learned archery intuitively while surviving in the wastelands, but doing and teaching are two different things, so...I actually had to look up online how to teach it real quick before I got started at Weehawken. đ Donât tell anyone, okay!! Bean boy said I was pretty good at the instructor thing!! It helped to have good students too though, like sweet little Nenela...I hope she enjoyed the lesson. đ„° Even though I got rather distracted halfway through..
[Dunking his head in a body of water is what Bean did the previous summer, in reaction to receiving love confessions from his friends Ted Wiggins and Audrey Jones]
