what’s midnight, mass

vertigo comic* from 2002 (with a followup in 2004) about a married couple who research and fight monsters and the occult while living in the extremely haunted town of midnight, massachusetts. we're introduced to them through the eyes of their new assistant, jenny swan. it's fun! i like it. the sequel holds my attention way, way less than the first series, but out of all the vertigo books i've read so far this year it's the one i've been returning to most after the doctor occult and mister e stories.

*not dc canon, although originally conceived to be part of the milestone universe.
