adachi arresting mafia kajita in the beginning of persona stalker club ep 6

one more thing from psc 6. at the beginning of the episode, madono dressed up as adachi and held up an adachi face portrait as a "mask" lol and did a skit where he arrests kajita for trying to form social links. (they also play the golden theater opening from catherine before this.)

adachi: isn't it about time you came clean and confessed to what you've done? kajita: but you've got the wrong idea... adachi: do i tho? eyewitnesses spotted you lurking around a daycare and talking to girls at a shrine! kajita: but i was just trying to establish social links. adachi: oh please. social link? the hell is that? can't you be more specific? kajita: uhh, well, you see, if you establish social links, your personas get stronger. so i thought, maybe if i went to a daycare and a shrine, i could get temperance and hanged man personas... (see: p4 eri temperance and p3 maiko hanged man) adachi: ah-hah, i see what's going on here... so your hidden desires got the better of you, huh? kajita: oh shit it's like *i'm* the hanged man. both: ah ha ha adachi: you think you're real funny, dont you? kajita: sorry... if i were a persona protagonist, then i totally could've pulled that off... guess my social stats aren't high enough... adachi: look, games are different from reality. like what is that get up? what are you even wearing? and you're how old - 26? kajita: er, no, this is my costume for the persona stalker club... adachi: ah-ha, you just confessed, didn't you? kajita: huh? adachi: you just confessed that you're a "stalker", didn't you? kajita: no, you've got it all wrong! it's not like that! you see, the persona stalker club is... adachi: uh-huh. the suspect confessed at... 17:30. kajita: no! adachi: all right, you're coming with me. kajita: wait, persona... persona stalker club...! adachi: uh-huh. kajita: no! i didn't do it! i didn't!!!

the title card at the start says like, "mafia kajita mystery theater, there's a staff member who loves pan and has a secret, the cabbage detective is on the case!, the fresh blood chocopan contains randa's(?) tears." i have nfc what the title is supposed to be about. "pan" would typically be "bread", but for some reason i have a feeling that its usage in the first line is not actually talking about bread lol. i asked a person who has listened to a lot of mafia kajita's radio shows and they had no idea either.

in the process of typing this, i realized i have nooooo idea how to convey adachi's style of speech through text. all of the "ねぇぇぇ？" and "じゃない？" and the euhmm speed at which he talks versus when he draws out syllables while being all whiny (not rly seen in this clip). yeah okay madono's va work does so much heavy lifting for now "annoyingly charming" adachi can be.

OFF/Mortis Ghost tribute sketchbook drawings. Did these to commemorate replaying the game after a very long time. Last time was probably when it got popular during the Homestuck gigapause. Think of these as a drawthrough (drawing + playthrough) of the game. They are all in A5 with Nº2 graphite pencils and 0.5 and 0.05 archival ink pens, plus digital coloring through limited color palettes in Aseprite. Just as with the Yume Nikki post, I'd love to know: What's your favorite?

Anime box set stuff

Adachi has art on the p4 anime box set, drawn by Masaru Shindo (the golden anime's character designer). He's also done the remake of Fruits Basket and more recently Blue Lock.

Anyway this guy totally doesn't look like Adachi to me he doesn't look pathetic enough.

There's character art inside the booklet, including sh-shirtless Adachi making anime guy crazy face. 🫣

The booklet also has art from the Junes Fair picture drama where Yu comes to Inaba with Max social stats on new game plus and punches everyone's shadows with the Punch of Truth to speed run the game lol. Adachi tries to do his bad guy speech but gets interrupted. This drama was performed live with the voice actors.
