after a few moments, he pulled back a fraction, laughing softly.

"how about i come in instead of us just standing in the doorway?" he suggested, linking their hands together.

the moment blue heard knocking on the door xe jumped off the couch, running to the door and nearly slipping in his socks

xe quickly opened the door with a smile spread across his face

"ICARUS!! hello!" he said exitedly as he held held xir arms out, asking if his partner was okay with a hug

at the sight of blue, grinning wide, sol threw solself at him, enveloping him in a hug. sols wings instinctively drew close and wrapped around the pair.

he drew back a bit, taking in his boyfriend's face, before nuzzling close again.

i don't think you're getting what i'm saying, blue. seeing you hurting or in pain or anything, hurts us in turn. we want to help you. we don't care if you're an inconvenience (you're not), that literally doesn't matter to us.

and, what if something like this was happening to me? or hinata or peter? or any of your siblings, really. are they an inconvenience?

and no, you don't get to argue that "but it's different" because, really, it's not. you aren't any different from the rest of us in that way. because you are someone we love. we love so much. so, please, just let us take care of you.

if any of what happened to you happened to someone in your family, would they be an inconvenience? a failure? a problem? think of it that way. if whatever happened to you happened to someone you love, you wouldn't care about shit like that. because you love them. that's what matters.

and, listen to me, do you think anything is more important to me than you? and your safety and health? your life? you are my most important thing. you matter to me more than anything. if anything ever happens to you and i could've helped, then it's my fucking fault for not being there for you and loving you enough.
