Siona almost laughed at how fast Aurora had pulled her towards another shelf. After she’d taken the book from Aurora she turned it over in her heads to look at the back of it. “Hm.” Siona had heard of both the book and the movie when they came out years ago but she hadn’t paid them much attention at the time. “I haven’t. Looks interesting, what’s it about?”
“oh, just read it sis.” aurora rolled her eyes at her friend and grabbed her hand. “just trust me, it’s good one. so now why don’t we go somewhere else and talk about things that the typical best friends talk about?” she raised her eyebrow at her, in a sign of a questioning. time had passed, since they both had the chance to hang out and have some time in private. the reason was, that aurora was always making excuses, because she needed to spend some time alone with herself which was quite usual for her, so sisi should’ve been used to it.

yet another one of their favorite places was the serasa cafeteria. many of their dates used to be there, but yet again it was no surprise considering the place was favorited by bookworms like them. just sitting there with a cup of coffee, nice book and the company of each other was a recipe for a good time for both of them. you’d think they were a match made in heaven, but as much as they were similar, they were quite diffrent too. rora was more of a homebody person and tim, well he tried to explore and have fun and that’s how it ended really. “ lead the way. ”
thinking about their past, when they were in a relationship, could bring aurora so many memories. some of them were good, some of them maybe were bad, but it didn’t change the fact that she missed spending more time with him like the old good days. after their break up she didn’t call timmy once to check on him, even though they ended on good terms and maybe that was one of the reason she was acting kinda weird. rora was scared about what was going to happen after they meet again, so the easiest way was to avoid him and his calls too. did they really move on? that was the question, which was spinning in her mind since their break up. “you know, i missed you. sorry that i had ignored you for a while.” she was looking down at her feet, while they were walking, because she didn’t have the guts to look him in the eyes.

“i wanna keep her on her toes. and who knows, maybe i’ll stop by and brighten up her day sometime. i’m just that smooth like that, you know?” nash let out with a laugh, throwing a wink and a wave towards the librarian on their way out. aurora’s taste buds were something fierce that he would never understand. “what is the purpose of coffee if you don’t put any flavor in it? like a lil bit of sugar or at least some cream? it’s like, you wanna drink straight missery.” he was a feign when it came to add in’s and probably embarrassed her with all his requests to the baristas behind the counter, but he didn’t care. narrowing his eyes, putting on his best game and poker face, he shook her hand hard and confidently. “you’re going down. and i’m not giving you any head starts or mercy with this.” he’d probably end up paying for the both of them anyways since he was just that kind of guy, but the bragging rights meant more to him than cash or a free meal. “you better start deciding what flavors and toppings you want on your donuts now, the taste of defeat is going to suck so it’s probably best to pick out something that at least goes good with your tears.” nash said with a sly grin as he lead the way to main street, knowing duck donuts was the perfect place to go. they were all warm and you could design each and every one of ‘em. plus, their coffee and espresso was top notch.
“well, after i am a whole sugar being, don’t you think i need some bitterness?” aurora joked and flipped her hair behind her back. she was like a ball full of surprises and strange habits. yes, she adored her coffee without any sugar or cream, but on the other hand she could eat all of your hidden supplies with sweet temptations. “don’t fly too high, honey.” she run her fingers through her friend’s hair, just to make it messy and get him mad, knowing how much he holds on to his appearance. “the tears may fall from your tortured by eating donuts face.” the brunette whispered in nash’s ears, trying so hard to keep her laugh as long as she can, so she could sound convincingly. after they got to the place, rora found herself staring at the donuts on the showcase. “so i want ten from the strawberry iced and ten from the double white chocolate donuts.” she ordered to the man, sitting behind the showcase, and added. “oh, and please add sprinkles.” a big smile escaped her lips. she made one step back, in a sign that it’s his turn.

pia smiled at the other’s genuine reaction of gratefulness . “ it’s truly no trouble at all . and yes me too !! ” she exclaimed , eyes lighting up in excitement . “ i believe the human body is extremely interesting and it constantly makes me wonder how the very far future would look like in terms of human evolution and its contribution to society . ” pia , as usual being too lost in her own rambles , had her eyes widening at the sight of the other’s hand . “ oh , sorry . ” she grinned sheepishly and shook her hand . “ it’s a pleasure to meet you aurora , i’m pia . umm , i hope you don’t mind me asking , what’s your major ? ”
the fascination about psychology, rora saw in the girl’s eyes, really surprised her. she rarely had the opportunity to meet people, with whom she could discuss common interests. “have you noticed that, we are happier when when we’re busy? and that’s because our brain prefers to stay busy, so at the end it could rewards us with the hormone of happiness, incredible right?” she added, while shaking her head in a sign of astonishment. “no, no of course not. fine arts and yours?” a big smile escaped aurora’s lips.

“Playing with your feelings is one of my favorite pass times, you should know this by now. AndI’m not really sure. I just finished A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. I’ve been reading a bunch of spiritual and finding your purpose in life type shit lately. This time I’m thinking either poetry or a fictional story. I haven’t read one of those in a while.”
hearing her best friend saying fictional story, made aurora’s brain thinking faster than her running skills, so she just grabbed sisi’s hand and dragged her to the bookshelf, where the perfect book for her was laid. aurora reached her hand to grab the book and handed it to the girl. “the girl on the train by paula hawkins, i hope you have not read it yet.” she left out a small laugh.

dante didn’t really know how to act around girls that he found attractive, he constantly found himself stuttering, blushing and even just forgetting his words and mumbling. It was a bad habit that needed to be fixed. “are you sure? it really wouldn’t be a problem.” dante reassured with a soft smile, pushing his gym bag towards her just in case she changed her mind. dante was a bit thrown off at her words, was she asking to go to the party together or was he just jumping ahead of himself. not being able to hide his now rosy cheeks, he responded, “oh the one on friday? i-uh- yeah ill probably end up going just to check things out.” he responded. dante also wasn’t a huge fan of parties, the craziness as well as the crowds had sometimes made him nervous but this was the best time to get out of his comfort zone.
seeing the boy, who was sitting next to her, trying his best to convince her in taking the hoodie from the bag, she accepted his offer and put on his hoodie, over her wet clothes, which was extremely illogical, but she thought she would feel warmer. aurora smelled, the sweet scent of the boy’s hoodie, she just had put on, so it provoked the ridiculous smile, which appeared on the girl’s face. “thank you, so much.” rora wasn’t sure if he got her question right. she didn’t mean to push him or anything, just wanted to make sure that they could have the ability to meet again. “well, i would be glad to see you there.” rora’s eyes were wandering in the space, because of the worry she was feeling right now. she didn’t know if the boy had understood her correctly, so she added. “of course, to give you back the hoodie.” she felt awkward after saying that, so she needed to change the subject, to escape the situation . “if u don’t have any ideas about your outfit for the party, i am sure i can help you.” she smiled at him.

dante wasn’t to fond of the rainy weather lately, he had been looking forward to all the picnic and basking in the sun readings he could be doing whilst the rain sprinkled down. the male did his best to keep to his time schedule for school strictly, never wanting to get there too later and make a scene especially on the first day. he had somehow managed to get ready an hour before class before grabbing his things to head out. an hour - a new record. dante pulled out a chair in the back of the classroom, his eyes glancing over to the door when he heard it creak open. it was her - it was the same cute girl he would pass by too often at the library. the male was too shy to ever approach her, not wanting to cause her any unnecessary discomfort either. dante couldn’t help but crack a smile at hers, “hey.” he said softly as he tilted his head to the side, trying to already get a better view of her as she seemed to bury her face into her notebook. “i’m dante.” the male nodded as he noticed how wet she had been. “i uh- i have another pair of sweats and hoodie if you want it, it was my gym clothes. but you dont need to worry i didnt work out yet so its not stinky or anything.” he reassured as his hand went to rub the back of his neck, was he making this as awkward as he thought it was? “so you’re - yeah know not drenched in water.” he offered.
after she heard him, saying his name, aurora became even more nervous. why she was always acting so weird around boys and especially around him. she never thought that maybe one day, they could have the opportunity for acquaintance. it was so easy for her, just to watch him in the library and enjoy his appereance, but right now, after she had to face him so close, rora was able even to forget her own name. “well, i. i am aurora, nice to meet you.” she finally took the courage to look at him and when she did it, she could feel her cheeks turning red. “no, i am fine thank you for offering.” a shy smile, escaped rora’s lips, because of the thought that crossed her mind. he actually did care about her being wet. offering his clothes was way too much from a person, she barely knew, so it was a good first impression. she adored people who do small, but kind favors. “so i heard, there will be a party, are you going to be there?” rora looked the boy, with a little hope for him to say yes. she was not a big fan of parties, but if he was attending it, that was going to be a opportunity for her to see him in a place way different from university or the library, so they could have a chance to get to know each other.

timvankirk·:
a laugh escaped tim’s lips. “ why wouldn’t you expect me here, you know i love reading.” this was a thing she should’ve known. there was no way to escape him in the library, plus the ofter hung out there so it shouldn’t have been a shook to her, but it was probably because of her nervousness she said the stuff she did, back when they were together she lost that, they made each other feel comfortable but it seemed like they were back at the start. “ i’d love to, of course, if you don’t mind. ” he said as he ran his hand trough his hair. to be honest he was a bit nervous him self, but that was only because he knew how she was and didn’t want to overstep any boundariess
“of course, i know timmy.” she laughed stupidly and rolled her eyes. it was such a stupid thought, she knew that he loved to come here. but still she couldn’t think of any reason why she is so nervous around him. so she took a deep breath again and looked him right in the eyes. “yes of course i don’t. our place with the lovely waitress?” she left out a laugh, while her fingers were making their way through her thick hair. right it took aurora a while, before she could replace her anxiety with calm and cool behavior, but already it was a fact and she stood in front of the boy with a confidence.

“me? embarrassing? come on, now. don’t try to put this off on me. i’m pretty sure i saw you talking to books, earlier.” the red headed boy said with a playful smirk as he looked around at the objects. “you were afraid i would make them blush or some shit.” tapping the books, he pretended he was hitting on one before he felt her grab him away. “linda loves me, by the way. she said i’m cute.” waving at the librarian as they left, he smirked proudly and told her he see her soon. which was a lie, because he usually wouldn’t be caught dead in here. but what the old lady didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her. “so is the donut still happening? cause i could really go for some chocolate right now.” he asked, his free hand tapping over his stomach to add emphasis to his words. chocolate frosted with sprinkles sounded absolutely bomb and his iced coffee would just feel empty without it. “we could get a dozen and see who can eat the most?” he suggested with the look of challenge clear in his eyes.
“why are you giving the poor lady promises, that аre never going to happen.” rora said, with laugh escaping her lips. even though her friend was pain in the ass, he knew how to cheer her up and that was one of the things she loved the most in him. it was never boring to share her time with him. “yes i would love to get a donut and a large black coffee too.” she jumped, clapping her hands in a sign of enjoyment. after her friend offered his crazy idea, aurora couldn’t help it but to stare at him with her mouth opened. “are you out of your mind? i am totally in let’s do it.” she answered, and extended her hand, to make a deal with him. “and if i win, you will have to pay the whole bill, okay?” she raised her eyebrow to challenge her friend. it was his happy day, because she would never accept such an offer if she wasn’t in a good mood. rora was feeling like, they haven’t made something stupid in a while, so she thought why not.

it was quite rainy this day. aurora loved this kind of days, because she could stay in her room and watch some movies or read a book, these days always brought her calmness and positive energy. but today she had to go to university and because of the falling drops outside, which usually bring her peaceful sleep, she overslept. aurora was never late for her classes, but this day for the first time, it was about to happen. realizing that she had only fifteen minutes left, before her class starts, made her panic. how unlucky, she thought, to be late for your first digital art class. rora jumped off the bed quickly, brushed her teeth, brushed her hair and put on the first outfit she saw in her wardrobe. she left the room as fast as she could and made her way to the class running while trying to hurry up, she stepped in every puddle that crossed her path. anyway, wet and dirty, she arrived to the classroom and took a deep breath before entering. when she came in, all of her classmates made sure to stick their eyes on her. she hated when people stare at her and couldn’t help but blush. anyway, there was only one free seat left and to her surprise, the boy sitting next to it could make her blush even more. she knew him sort of, they have seen each other, several times in the library, and she knew him, just from the books he usually picked to read. rora had seen him in university too, but she never had the balls to say hey, neither did he. so today was it, she didn’t have any other choice than to gather her thoughts, take a deep breath and shoot him with the worst hello in the history. “h-h-heyo.” she smiled nervously and burrowed her sight in the notebook.

she could do this , pia said in her mind . wait what if she got a concussion ?? then she wouldn’t be able to study for her upcoming test or what it if reduces the amount of brain cells in her cerebral cortex ?? but the girl took a deep breath and continued to reach up for the book with both of her hands . she could do this . she’s always had dextrous fingers of ultimate strenght , evident in the victorious outcome of thumb wars with her brother . once she’d finally grasped the book , she carefully lifted it down . she looked at the title and grinned . “ this is a great book . it’s one of my favourites actually . ” she said as she handed it to the other .
rora paid big attention to the girl who was trying hardly to get to the book. a bad scenarios crossed her mind, but she couldn’t do anything then to nibble her fingers nervously. when she finally took the book from the last shelf, aurora left out a reassured sigh. “thank you sooo, much.” she gave the girl a big smile, as a sign of gratitude, while she was taking the book from her. “yes i really enjoy reading books about physiology, so i thought this one will be interesting.” she said, looking the book’s cover and smiled. “i am aurora by the way, nice to meet you.” she held out her hand.

rolling his eyes playfully, he shook his head at her. “aw….did i embarrass you in front of the books, aurora?” he asked, teasing her as he poked at her side. he was still learning how to ‘appreciate’ the ‘different works’ and ‘forms of art’ from her, but the sculptures with the boobs did not help him in the slightest from making immature comments. so he just expected that type of stuff to be in all the things she reads since everyone seems to be obsessed with the human body dating back from like 1600 or whatever. “im a model student. look at me.” doing a spin for her, he made a play on the words with showing off his abs & muscles more before waiting to see if she’d punch him for that lameness. “deal” the red headed boy said running a hand over his jaw. his eyes were tired. so tired. “if you throw in a donut, i won’t say anything raunchy in here before we go. wouldn’t want linda the librarian hearing anything she’ll have to wash her ears out with holy water with.” he said with a shit eating grin as he knew exactly what to do to get his way sometimes and used it fully to his advantage.
as he was doing his weird modelling stuff, aurora put her hand in front of her eyes to cover the view she was forced to attend and turned around, pretending that she doesn’t know who this man is. his favorite thing was to make jokes about art stuff and it was irreparable case. but even though it happens very often she still tries to convince him that not everything is just nudity in art. “hey, stop you are embarassing us, now.” she punched him in the arm and laughed. it wouldn’t be nash if he doesn’t show his masculinity around. “okay, okay let’s just go please, enough of the modelling show and talking about linda.” she grabbed his hand, dragging him out before he had the chance to do something stupid again and embarrass them.

timvankirk·:
for some reason aurora seemed more awkward than usual. sure she wasn’t the most confident person he knew, but he definitely wasn’t used to her being like that. tim was comfortable around her, he wasn’t bothered by their past relationship at all, it was over and they both decided it’s best for them to be friends. “and you look like you just saw a ghost. I didn’t know I was that scary.” he laughed. he wasn’t sure if he was just making her nervous or she just lied when she told him that she’d like for them to stay friends.” eh, the usual, it’s going great. what’s up with you?”
“oh, sorry if that offended you, i just didn’t expect to see you here.” she laughed nervously and added. “um, you know the usual. i decided to pass by the library and grab a book and then to have a coffee.” she scratched her neck ashamed and left out a grin. she couldn’t explain what was the reason that caused her behavior right now. everyting was clear between them and her weirdness was pointless. so to get rid of the awkwardness, she decided to break the ice. “if you want you can join me, if you are not busy.” she looked down, waiting for his response.

“Shouldn’t be a problem. I think I’ve gotten enough practice with all the times I’ve hoisted you up on my back. You’ll have to wear heels one day, bebita, but don’t worry, I’ll be there to catch you when you fall.” This was not at all the first time that Siona had helped Aurora out with something that wasn’t in her reach. “Aw, its a cute book. Too bad it had to end with the main character dying.” She stood there waiting for Aurora’s reaction. “Just kidding. I haven’t read it yet but I’ve heard its a good one. Lemme know what you think of it.”
“wait, what do you mean the main character is dying?” she said stressed, with her eyes popping out. aurora was a huge fan of romantic books, but if the ending wasn’t the same as it is in the fairy tales, she won’t be satisfied. “oh, girl you almost gave me heart attack, don’t play with my feeling like that” she left out a reassured sigh and laughed. “and what are you looking for here?” she raised her eyebrow at her friend and smiled.

sicnnavk·:
a long and exaggerated sigh left sienna’s lips when aurora once again disturbed her peace, making her jerk her head towards the girl. “hate is a pretty big word for your mouth, rorz! can’t believe you’re not having an allergic reaction just from saying it.” the brunette mocked once again in a monotone voice, trying to hint just how over the conversation she is at this point. “and obviously you’re not a smart one if you think we’re continuing with our conversation.” the brunette cut off and reached to take a book from the shelf as she finally made the choice she came into ciela for. “maybe try talking about your little victory with siona, hell knows she’ll care more than i ever will.”
hearing her saying ‘not a smart one’ could make aurora break down, even though she knew, she is smart enough just because she wouldn’t fall into sienna’s trap. aurora took a deep breath before responding to the brunette. of course she was not an argumentative type of a person and that’s why she just smiled peacefully to the visibly annoyed girl. “i know what you are doing and i won’t get affected by your words.” that was sienna’s goal, to make aurora mad so she could take off her ‘mask’, but rora would never let someone to make fun of her. maybe it could’ve happen in the past, but now she knew her worth. “you know i think we should end the conversation now, before you throw another ugly word, which just doesn’t fit your beatiful appereance.” rora said calmly. “anyway, thank you for your advice, i am sure she will care more than you. by the way good choice with this one” she said, pointing the book in sienna’s hands. rora waved for goodbye, while turning her back at the girl.

nashc0le·:
blinking his eyes a few times over, he gave her a look. no, he had no clue about the feelings she was talking about, especially when it came to a book in his hand. and they both knew that. “just cause you said please.” he said over his shoulder in a teasing tone with a funny face that included a dopey grin. “let me know if there’s any sex scenes in this one.” he said patting it over a few times before handing it over. “you got it. might not happen often, so we might want to write this day down in history of me helping you in the library.” a dramatic sigh fell from his nose, exaggerating his disgust for the place with his face, even running a hand over it. “my teacher decided to hold class in here today. thought it would be a good idea to change the scenery and let us use the computers. i lowkey thinks she knows most of us just go on pornhub or redtube during normal lectures, so this was her way of lurking.” he said with a shake of his head. “so no need to worry about me, but mrs. baker on the other hand…..she might need some help.” nash let her know in regards to his professor.
hearing him saying the word sex, made her feel ashamed, not because of its meaning, but because he said the word out loud in the library. “shh. it’s not just sex, nash. it is pure love, spoken with actions, especially in this book.” she rolled her eyes at him and sighed. she really loved her friend, but when it had come to art, they were on a whole different level. “well, i think your teacher has all the rights to worry about you, if i was her i would’ve worried too.” aurora patted his arm, as she was smiling at him. that was not a offer, which was suggested regularly from her, but knowing her friend, aurora was sure he will prefer anything else than staying in the library, so she added quickly. “so, favour for a favour, you gave me the book, so let’s get you out from here and grab some coffee.” she put the book in her bag, as she was waiting for his response, even though she knew the answer already.

sicnnavk·:
“you can not imagine just how much..” sienna dragged out with feigned sweetness in her tone and only rolled her eyes once she noticed the saddened look the other female offered. she had many reasons to dislike aurora and was never shy to admit them. though, sienna never really had that conversation with the target of her dislike and didn’t plan on having it soon. the brunette crossed her arms over her chest and watched as aurora struggled to reach the book that she wanted so bad. a grin spread over her features, head tilting to the side as she felt a sick sparkle of joy, knowing aurora is having a hard time. “see? you’re a big girl now, getting your books on your own and all.” the vankirk mocked and turned to the shelf of books, perfectly manicured index finger now tapping over her chin in thought, wondering which book to take home and kill some time with.
sienna did really enjoy the struggle aurora was feeling. something that rora will never understand is hate. she had never experienced this feeling and it was unknown to her, so it was hard to get it. “i just don’t know why are you doing this? you know, even though all the hate that you are feeling towards me, i am sure that we can fix it somehow.” arguing was not typically for rora, so one of the things she thinks she is best in, was trying to fix everything. however, her short hand succeeded in reaching the book she wanted. “yes i am a big girl, but unfortunately i am not a tall girl, that’s why i asked for your help.” aurora smiled at the girl next to her and hugged the book, she fighted with teeth and claws for.
