People keep thinking if a book will be adapted into a movie then the movie will be exactly like the book. The plot always gets changed characters are added and subtracted . Even caught stealing is going to be fairly different from the book version

And yea, the "Caught Stealing" film already has some changes to it that are different from the book lol. I'm sure when we see the movie we'll see even more of those subtle (and not-so-subtle) changes.

The guys who run the tactical gun range said Austin was working on training for in the event he could audition. And that was their word they used.

And you basically proved my point lol. If Austin is even auditioning for Heat 2 (which many assume the training was for), then that right there tells you that he's obviously been in conversation with those in charge of the movie, and they're interested in him.

Listen to how Austin talks about Heat 2. He obviously knows something about it. You can just tell.

He's not coming from a place of, "Oh gee, that would be nice to be in, but I'm not even sure about if I'd even have a chance".

No, he sounds like someone who is on the inside and already kind of talking and possibly negotiating about the role and learning more about it.

That's why he can't talk about it. He knows stuff, and he doesn't want to jinx anything just in case things don't work out.

That, plus all of the stuff he's been doing to prep for it is all very suspicious to me. 👀

Caught stealing was a great book. I am at a loss why everyone liked city on fire. Very boring and way too many characters. Austin’s role in it would technically be supporting. I also am at a loss though why everyone liked masters of the air. I hated that show. So I guess I just have different taste than everyone else in the fandom.

We all have different tastes.

I will say though, that sometimes, film adaptations can be very different from the book. So, just because you didn't like the book, it might not mean that you wouldn't like the movie.

Austin does still audition and that has been confirmed. He hasn’t spoken with anyone about heat because nobody had at that point when he was being asked about it. They didn’t even have a script and WB didn’t even know if they were going to greenlight the film, so no he hadn’t spoken about it.

You don't need a script to know that a film is going to be made. Plenty of actors sign on to films even before a script has been written up or even a script writer has been assigned.

To me there's no valid proof that he hasn't been in conversation with filmmakers regarding Heat 2. There's more proof that he has. They were already throwing out Adam Driver and Austin's names long time ago. Why do you think fans are clinging to the idea so hard? It's because rumors have been swirling for over a year (about 2 years now) regarding their possible involvement with the film. Whether it will actually work with their schedules and they will actually be cast, that is still left to be seen. But I think there are lots of signs that he's definitely one of the actors being looked at for the role.

Whether he would need to audition for Heat 2 is also something that we really don't know. Just because he's auditioned for things in the past doesn't mean he'll have to audition for everything. He didn't audition for Bikeriders or Dune. Did he audition for Caught Stealing or Enemies? Who knows?

But at this point in his career, he's not really auditioning for much stuff anymore.

I don’t think Austin has spoken with them at all about heat. I do believe he wanted to audition and that’s why he can’t deny. But I don’t think a director like Michael Mann would be interested in Austin. I’m sure they will go with someone more established or more of someone they want to make a star.

I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

I don't agree with you though that Austin hasn't been talking to someone about Heat 2. That's not the vibe I'm getting.

Lmao), he would just be like Patrick Schwarzenegger and be kissing up to people and talking up a storm about Heat 2 and about how he'd love the opportunity to be in the movie.

Trust me, the fact that Austin tries to evade answering questions about Heat 2 is very telling, and more than enough proof to me that he's obviously been approached about possibly having an interest in him being in the film.

Keep in mind that Austin is beyond his pre-Elvis days. He is a Golden Globe and BAFTA winner, as well as an Academy Award nominee. I think he's a little past the "audition" stage girl lol. 😂

Now days, scripts get sent to him, or people get in touch with his agent for a role, and vice versa.

Did you see that casting is now underway for Heat 2? I don’t think Austin will be in it. I really hate that he gets rumored for big projects and then it’s not him. It just makes him look like he is not in demand with these big studios.

First of all, I wouldn't take every single thing that comes out of WOR (World of Reel) as law. He's been right about some things, but with other things, he's been dead wrong.

Second, where on earth are you seeing that a cast for Heat 2 has even been announced yet? 🥴 A cast hasn't been announced yet. That news would be all over the internet, Twitter, Variety, Deadline, IMDB.com, etc. you name it! Lol 😆 That would be very big news.

They are still just in the very beginning stages. We don't need to be putting out doom and gloom on Austin's career when nothing bad has even happened.

To me, it's been pretty obvious that Austin has been in talks (and has maybe even done some gun training) for this role for about 2 years. He has been very tight-lipped because he's been talking with people regarding the role. Otherwise, he would just talk freely about it and deny the rumors.

The powers that be obviously have been looking at him. Idk where you're getting that he's not in demand with studios from. 🥴 He did two films with Warner Brothers, he's about to have a film from A24 come out, and he's also having a film from Sony Pictures come out this year as well. So where is your logic? You're not making any sense.

Anyway, whether Austin gets a role in Heat 2 is still left to be seen, but it won't be because studios aren't looking at him. They are looking at him. He probably has to decline scripts now lol.

He's got at least 3 other films that have already been announced, and the year isn't even over yet! Rofl 😂

If Austin doesn't get a role in Heat, it will only be because the director had a different actor in mind, that's it. It doesn't mean Austin is any less than. It just means that for that particular role, the director wanted that particular actor. Actors lose out on roles to other actors all the time. Look at how many people Austin beat out for "Elvis"!

Anyway, Austin is still one of the fan faves to have a role in Michael Mann's upcoming Heat 2 film. Even those who aren't Butlerettes are wanting him for this role.

I think the person was just wondering more about whether they’ll vibe well together and seem relaxed around each other, even if it’s totally platonic. Anyone who’s good at picking up on body language and subtle energy shifts will probably notice that kind of thing.

Like I said in one of my previous posts, Austin and Zoe already seem to have really good onscreen chemistry with each other (if that bts kiss scene video is just a small glimpse into what we might be seeing 👀 lol), but I do wonder about off-camera.

I actually felt that Austin and Jodie had way more chemistry with each other off-screen than they had onscreen with each other lol. So it can really go either way.

I tend to pick up on body language pretty well, so if anything jumps out at me during this press tour, I'll definitely let you all know!
