Die Mimik der Tethys (The Expressions of Tethys) is a high sea buoy (last was in Pinacoteca Agnelli, Turin, 2024), that is suspended in space and moves synchronously to another buoy in the Atlantic Ocean near Nantes. Continuously transmitting motion data via satellite to its relocated double, the information guides eight electric motors and cable winches, which precisely reproduce the buoy's movement in the ocean. The buoy functions as a hypnotising machine that inevitably leads to the idea of waves lapping around inside the exhibition space, creating an ocean in the minds of people.

United Healthcare getting sued by its investors, because it didn't warn them that the CEO getting murdered (by the tendrils of their unmitigated greed) was going to lead to them approving more claims (for covered services that they had no right to deny) is a cartoonish example of exactly why their CEO got murdered.

Their argument is essentially "You promised us a specific profit margin that is not possible to achieve under this increased public scrutiny of your unethical practices. We only agreed to invest because of those unethical practices. So we demand compensation because you didn't warn us that you'd be behaving more ethically"

And idk. Satire isn't just dead. We've pissed on its corpse and now it's dissolving in lye.

HERETIC (2024)

The Hollies filed a plagiarism lawsuit against Radiohead, which they later settled by proving that the melody and rhythm of The Air That I Breathe appear in Creep. How old are you? 19 or 20? Something like that. Okay. So maybe you know Lana Del Rey, who remarkably was sued by Radiohead for plagiarizing Creep in her 2017 song Get Free. Iterations. Over time. Diluting the message. Obscuring the original.

Smuggler's Cave

I designed this map as part of a megadungeon set in a whimsical otherworld: Tucked away in a hidden cove beneath a giant rotten stump is Smuggler's Cave, the hideout of the Pirate Koi terrorizing the Dreaming Marshes. Players can infiltrate their base and free the prisoners through multiple routes - rowing in through the front entrance, possibly impersonating allies of the smugglers, sneaking through behind the waterfall, or beneath the roots of a mystical mangrove tree in the bayou. From there, they'll be fighting/avoiding pirate patrols across rickety walkways and underground beaches, crawling through pipes into the ship sticking out of the cliffside, and figuring out the how to deal with the crow's nest lookout. If negotiations with the pirate captain goes south, they may even find themselves flushed down into the waterlogged grotto where the previous gollum-esque captain still lurks.

We made history everybody! 11 MILLION PEOPLE WORLDWIDE came out yesterday in protest against Trump! 🇺🇸

A huge shout out to the blue dots in red states that really showed up, and the police who protected the protests rather than escalating. There were reports of violence against protesters, like in Salt Lake City, but it seems like overall it was a nonviolent success my friends! We need to keep this momentum and community action going!

Can we stop using "still lives with their parents" or "unemployed" or "doesn't have a drivers license" or "didn't graduate high school" as an insult or evidence that someone is a bad person? Struggling with independence or meeting milestones is not a moral failing.
