So.....I drew this for Zukaang week, and when I went to double check the prompts to remind myself which one I'd had in mind while working on it, and none of the prompts match this. And there's no free day. So I kind of fucked up. Guess I could've shared this weeks ago when I'd finished it originally; oh well.

Anyway, dandelions remind me of Zukaang. Dandelions are yellow and sunny and relate to fire in that way, but then when they become the puff balls and their seeds float on the breeze, they're like air. It's a flower that encompasses both of them.

Al post promised day must have the worst poker face of all time. He hasn't had to think about his facial expressions for like 5 years. It probably takes a while to remember people can see that now and get back into the habit of controlling it.

he's trying to act irritated about Ed fussing over him in the hospital and his voice and body language would really be selling it if he didn't have the biggest happiest smile anyone's ever seen. Ed decides not to mention it and just plays along with his little brother's fake annoyance if it makes him happy.

Mustang shows up and starts antagonizing Ed and trying to goad him into a stupid argument (it's their love language) and when Al interrupts to ask how Mustang is doing he sounds concerned and respectful but he's visibly rolling his eyes and shooting Mustang a look that clearly says "you're the dumbest person I know why are you like this?" Mustang laughs so hard he falls out of his chair.

Whenever people make him mad he tries to stay polite unless they've done something really bad. Flying off the handle is more Ed and Winry's thing, and Al's always had better luck getting things to go his way by remaining civil. But that strategy doesn't work as well when his pleasant tone of voice is competing with the absolute death glare he's giving people over minor annoyances.

I gave @bluespiritshonour some money, and all I got in return was this amazing art. This is a scene from "A Place in Between", part one of We Will Become Silhouettes, my Maiko-centric ATLA modern AU. This specific moment has been living rent free in my head for just under five years now, and my god, seeing it brought to life in such a beautiful way...it's just absolutely amazing. I can barely describe it. Getting this was absolutely incredible.

It is finished!

I've been slowly working away at making Baba Yaga's house for a bit over a month, and I am so pleased with how it turned out. She is made from the cardboard of cereal boxes and cosmetics packaging, air dry clay, wire, and moss, painted with acrylics.

This was a bit of a learning experience for me, because I primarily work two dimensionally and rarely do sculpting attempts work out in the way I hope they will. She's far from perfect, but I kind of like that Bout her. I doubt the old crone would bother with keeping her home in tip top shape anyway. She's got more important things to do, like being tricked by hardworking and good natured children, or dealing with meddlesome Ivan's.

Which version is best?

Came up with two versions of a Zuko portrait. Which do y'all like better?

Season three Zuko portrait has the Agni Kai between Ozai and Zuko below him. Season one Zuko portrait has Zuko spotting the light coming from the iceberg in the first episode below him.
