In the first few episodes of The Owl House, I found people's shock at Eda's curse strange.

It felt odd that King, her "roommate" at the time, had never even seen or heard of the owl beast until after Luz arrived.

When we first met Lilith she mentions that she "suprised" when she first saw Eda again, in regards to the curse's effects on her.

At first I thought, witch, were you not paying any attention to your sister??

But now that season 2 is finished- I've realized why they were both so shocked by it.

For King, we now know from Echoes of the Past that in present time, King is a little older than 8 yrs old (post-hatching). That would somewhat explain why he's never heard of, seen, or simply doesn't remember seeing the owl beast. But not entirely.

At face value for Lilith, that doesn't explain in anyway why she didn't know how bad it'd gotten.

Not until we take a look back at Eda through the years.

Let's say she ran away at 17 after attacking Dell, had her breakup with Raine at 27, found King & took him home at 37, & now she's 45.

In the first 10 years she had little to no change in appearance, only a little grey starting to grow. In the first 10 years she was able to keep the curse at bay so much so her bestfriend & partner had never seen the owl beast or many symptoms of the curse

But then i remembered that the Eda we see in Echoes of the Past is also only 8 yrs younger than see is at present. That means Eda went from this to this-

-in only eight years. Going from just sidestreak greys to completely grey in less than 10 years during your 30's-40's is a physical indication of an extremely rapid decline in her health.

Which we knew was happening but I don't think any of us realized just how quickly the symptoms have escalated in the last 8 years & even the last few months!

At the beginning of the show she was still in control as long as she had one elixir per day- more if she was stressed, but still. Then just a month or two later, they're not even working anymore.

I don't think she was entirely lying when she told Lily that she wasn't sure how much time she had left.

I heard this audio clip and thought that it must be a Clawthorne The Owl House reel for instagram, but like a few images timed together… and then it was limited animation in procreate as just an exercise in how far I could take the program…. Then it became a full blown lip sync exercise and I exceeded the programs capabilities and just did the rest of it in Toonboom Harmony … because there is no way to reasonably sync sound with an audio clip in procreate. So yeah, if you are wondering why there hasn’t been an #owlhouse drawing update from me in a while, this is why… I can never do things by halves it seems. I think I’m going to try to keep animation in procreate from now on very limited since it’s finite number of layers it allowed per document is dangerous to my health. Here’s to Mae West!

Another Owl House Thing I Just Realized: Raine’s Dialogue

Obligatory Spoiler Warning

So, Raine has a habit of being sarcastic. We all know it. They’ve got something to say in every situation.

“Guess I can look forward to my own petrification, huh?”

“Yeah, well, we got tired of your little game!”

“And your plant puns!”

“How did you become the Owl Lady with your stage fright?”

The exception to this is when it’s more than just their own life at risk.

There was no joking around the multiple times Eda reached out to them when they were feigning being brainwashed.

They’re genuinely terrified and pretty much speechless when the day of unity plan fails and Eda’s near sacrifice was for nothing.

TLDR; Raine only jokes about bad situations if there’s nobody but themself at risk, and this makes me worry for their mental health.

If we get any speaking lines from the potion coven head in S3, I will be highly disappointed if their voice isn’t somewhat raspy/hoarse. 

Look me in the eyes and tell me their vocal cords wouldn’t be messed up to some degree if their go to attack is some sort of acid breath/fumes. Also would explain why they kind of look sickly and the bandages on their arms, if their own attacks hurt them.

Sososososo what if Adrian Graye was a Minotaur? But he uses illusion magic to make himself appear as a humanoid witch?

Hmm right now I've been practicing digital with this mini iPad my dad brought me (I forgot the name but it has mini and 7 in it)

So far my digital art with this bad boy is looking great :))

I was surprised too at the number!

V3 makes me question a lot of things!

Tho in my defense Tsumugi as a mastermind has a few holes but she was good nonetheless!

Speaking of which, I heard that a few people are starting to make their own Danganronpa (Fanganronpa)

Ehhh so far the killing games are pretty interesting and I have already finished the games just have to watch the anime!

I am already spoiled about the anime but I decided to watch it either way!

the executions are pretty brutal in drv3!

I feel bad for Maki, Shuichi and Himiko a lot!

They lost many people!

The fact that Danganronpa V3 had the least survivors-

Oh those characters are quite popular in the fandom (very)

I joined in when I saw Bijuu's mike video of the Danganronpa V3, the trial of Gonta. I saw how distraught he was so I decided to watch his videos from game 1, then watched the anime after I found out there was one.

Also Ambery was that you I saw in my notifications liking my Saimatsu thing I wrote?-

I actually read it a while back before I watched kaede being framed and executed!

I was practically spoiled into knowing that kaede dies and all so yeh!

I just didn't know she dies in the first chapter tbh!
