today 2 of my lectures weren't there, so i got a lie in, and i posted a birthday gift to my friend! my physics friend is really excited that it's nearly halloween, i might decorate my room this year :)

This weekend has been chock full of catching up on work I got behind on (shout out ADHD, you suck ❤️)

My first physics exam is coming up, and shortly after is my first calc II exam. It's seriously time to get on top of my time management so I can perform my best!!

28.9 - maths classes

i had my first problems class! it was just very basic complex numbers, so most of us knew all of it anyway. there were some weird proofs as extension questions though! i also had a maths module lecture & tutorial, with maths degree students in it! it seems interesting so far.

i've also got a cold, so i've been carrying a flask of tea everywhere, and drinking about 4 lots of it a day :')

Moved back into uni for 2nd year today! I’ve used the afternoon to organise my room & start on my admin to-do list, including noting key dates in my planner. It’s daunting but will hopefully be enjoyable, and I’ve got a week to settle in which is nice since it’s a bit of a shock to the system! :)

life update:

Im back guys and year 11 is over. We have a 2 week break and then I'll be in year 12 :/ Im very scared but Im trying to prepare myself now

My yearly exams went ok hopefully?? Physics and English definitely went non ideally but i think i went well in maths and biology.

27.9 - lab work & maths

i had my first labs today! it was mostly just measuring things, learning to use the equipment and set everything out correctly. my lab partner was nice, and she's doing theoretical physics too!

we start maths classes tomorrow, so i'm quickly revising complex numbers, i want to know what i'm doing in case we're taught something new.

So the James Webb telescope took a picture of a infant star!!

The small glowing blob is protostar L1527! Caught in the glow of its sunrise-like creation the baby is only 100,00 years old! It can take up to 50 million years for a star to reach the size of our sun. This infant has a long time to go.

Located 460 light years away this is one hell of a childhood photo!

26.9 - first uni post!

i had my first lectures yesterday, and we started loads of new stuff straight away. the mechanics had so much algebra, which i like, but it was really fast! so i went over everything this morning and tried the lecture questions, and now i'm doing lots of organising.

luckily, my flatmates are really lovely and we all get along great, and i've made a couple of friends on my course :) i'll just need to get used to all the hills haha
