marvel moving heaven and earth for the fantastic four marketing. meanwhile, thunderbolts were left to its own devices, expecting the new avengers reveal will carry it through the box office.
don't get me wrong, i love everything f4 (i can't wait to see them this saturday) and their spectacular marketing and the press tour -- but thunderbolts should've been given the same courtesy, if not more, considering that marvel is completely *aware* the characters were less known (the f4 were already household names let's not kid ourselves) and therefore needed a boost. but nooooooooo.

Thinking about the fact that both Walker and Ava's biggest strength is also their fatal flaw, which is loyalty.
Walker is the perfect soldier, he puts his life on the line for other fellow "soldiers" and follows orders. He pulls Ava back into the limo, jumps in front of bullets flying at Bucky, has multiple medal of honors, etc. He doesn't ever hesitate to protect. However, this becomes an issue in situations like Lamar's death. He doesn't think before chasing after one of the people involved and publicly murdering them in the street. His loyalty can make him blind to consequence. He is blindly loyal to the military institution and to Valentina before she betrays him, and both lead to negative results because of his failure to question them. The government throws him to the curb and he's nearly murdered by Val.
Ava, on the other hand, is loyal to the extent that she can't abandon anyone. She stays to open the vault doors for people she's hardly met, comes back for them again after she escapes the vault, and is the first one there when Walker is struggling lift the concrete slab. She even walks into her potential death to follow Yelena into the void. But again, it can be a fatal flaw because even in cases where she shouldn't come back, she does. She goes back for her father when his lab is collapsing instead of running with her mother, which ends up killing both her parents and causing her affliction. She also tells Bill to leave her in the alley when they are fleeing from authorities, despite it almost certainly meaning she'll be caught and imprisoned again.
Ultimately, they'll both put themselves in questionable/harmful situations if they are being driven by loyalty. I think this is something they would possibly bond over, both in the ways it has ruined their lives and protected each other.

Walker: Started talking to yourself, Ava?
Ava: Yes. It's the only way I can be sure of intelligent conversation around here.
