tonight i’ve thought a lot about how i got to where i am in life right now. it’s so funny always being told ‘in 10 years none of this will matter’ and then WHAM, you’re 10 years in the future and it was true. none of it matters anymore. i’m not living in the same body i was then. the same town. the same house. i’m somewhere better, and I AM someone better. i’m so much better than i was back then, and i understand myself so much more. i understand love, and grief. i understand loss, and how it changes things. i understand my emotions, my habits and my needs. a moment in time isn’t forever, and things always change. money and people come and go and come back again. i’m just happy to be here.
