Kasumi relaxed a bit as Avia gave him more space. It was a small gesture, but very meaningful to the angel with social anxiety. “It’s nice to meet you too, Avia,” he said with a slight bow of his head.
“Oh… don’t worry too much about it. I-I’m easy to startle,” he said with a nervous smile. He didn’t seem to mind as she went back to staring at her phone; the fewer eyes staring at him the better. Although this particular girl did not seem to be too hostile, unlike others he’d met.
“I’m reading The Dragon riders of Pern. It’s a quite interesting tale, although fictional. I’ll spare you the details, though…. if you’re into that kind of thing, you can read it yourself,” he said with a friendly smile and put a bookmark between the pages before shutting the book. “What kind of things do you like to read?” he asked curiously. “If you don’t mind me prying, that is. I’d hate to make you uncomfortable.”
“Oh, I meant to ask earlier… are you new here? I’m still relatively new, but I don’t think I’ve seen a supernatural like you around.” he stated, openly acknowledging that he knew she was not human– though he could not exactly figure out what she was.
Avia hated small talk, but was very intrigued to have a conversation with Kasumi.
“Hmm, I like reading scary-” Avia stopped herself before she finished what she was going to say. Realizing that the boy might be weirded out that she enjoyed darker things.
“Uh, not scary, I mean it’s scary when I read poetry cause I’m afraid I’ll start crying if it’s too good!” Avia faked a smile and played innocent. She wasn’t really lying. That was actually true. Not the crying part, but Avia did like reading poetry.
“Yeah I’m fairly new. Just really rolling on through and seeing where I go through this walk of life. So maybe I’ll stay for a while, but who knows...” Avia explained her journey here in Tabula Rasa. Kasumi was a smart guy. He knew she wasn’t human.
“Really now? Well I haven’t particularly crossed paths with too many fellow angels either. I myself being one.” She smiled at him, letting him know that she knew what creature he was. She wondered if he would think she was lying about being an angel, considering she didn’t look like your ideal angel.
Kasumi’s long travels had just recently come to an end. He had arrived at his destination: Tabula Rasa, the city of Supernaturals. He still had yet to find a place to live, and had been roaming the streets for the past few nights. It wasn’t a huge problem, since he could go a few days without sleeping, but he was exhausted mostly from the stress of travel and being in a new place. The city was crowded, something Kasumi had expected but wasn’t prepared for. He’d been wearing his sweatshirt and headphones all day, as if they were a shield between him and the busy city. He’d hidden his wings and halo away as well— they just got in the way most of the time.
The young angel at last found himself at a relatively quiet place— a park. With a small sigh of relief, he set down his bag on a bench and pulled out a book and his trusty pen. He began to flip through the book, enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the park and the wind flowing softly through his hair. He would occasionally look up to observe his surroundings; he was still a little on edge in this new place, so his music was off, too.
Sensing someone near him, he paused a moment, but didn’t look up. His blue eyes stayed locked on the page and a small smile on his lips as he said quietly to whoever was listening,
“A book is an adventure that you can hold in your hands. Fascinating, isn’t it?”

Kiki was such a breath of fresh air to see. She had always been so kind to Avia, and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe that’s what made her seem different than the rest of her other so-called friends in the past. Kiki always seemed to have hope and nothing but positivity for Avia. She was loyal and that was something Avia hadn’t experienced a lot of from others.
The two girls left the premises and began finding a place to clean up at.
“Hey Kiki? I know what I did was out of self defense, but what troubles me most is that I blacked out and don’t even remember-” Avia paused before she finished, realizing she took a life. “killing him...” Avia ended.
“Kiki, I’m worried. What if I black out again and murder someone that I truly care about? I can’t keep living in fear of what I’m capable of...” Avia hugged herself.
The thoughts were racing through her head and she was ready to give up altogether. She was frustrated though because she didn’t want to give up. She wanted more out of life than being this delinquent of a demon. It was just so hard. Avia’s eyes flickered with a purple tint for a second, but returned to normal right away. Her chaotic power was still present in her from earlier, but her angelic energy was being brought out more now, that Kiki was present.
After everything that happened she told Kiki that she’d do better, and left while the others weren’t looking. She didn’t mean to, but seeing the trouble she caused that night was too much for her. She’d been shape shifting more, so that way if any one of them saw her they wouldn’t recognize her. “Oh my gosh Kiki!” She embraced the wiccan in a hug and stepped back to look at her. She explained everything that happened to her this evening and who the dead man was. “I swear Kiki, I’ve never killed anyone before! It was self defense!” Avia pleaded. She then realized that wasn’t true. She had killed before. It was her mother when she gave birth to her. The guilt always ate away at her. She knew it had to do with being part demon that caused her death. How could it not? Her mother was an angel and couldn’t handle the birth to a demonic being. She always blamed herself. But how could her mother ever even consider being intimate with a demon? The questions ate at her all the time. “I really didn’t expect this was how my night would turn out.” Avia’s eyes became watery. She looked to Kiki who wasn’t saying anything. “I really have been trying to do better! I mean I still pick pocket every now and again, but I’ve put that to better use, and pick locks for people who get locked out of something and I get paid for it! I just did it the other day for an elder woman who was locked out of her house, and she paid me pretty well!” Avia smiled and took pride in what she said. She felt like she was making progress. She looked at Kiki and wanted her to say something. “You believe me don’t you?” Avia felt scarred now that Kiki might have changed her view of Avia since she last saw her. She prayed she didn’t.
Hugging the other back with her free arm, she was glad that the hybrid at least remembered her. After pulling back she listened as the girl explained her side of the story. Her gaze softening as she learns about what the man had tried to do to her new friend. She knew what it was like to have someone force themselves upon you and immediately felt pity.
Kiki began to think of what they should do now, they couldn’t just leave the body there. Texting Elidi about it seemed to be the best option and she’d know what to do about the situation. Silently she begins tapping away on her phone to let her mentor know of what had occurred, only looking up when she heard panic in the hybrids voice. “Hey, hey it’s okay! You were just protecting yourself from that nasty man.... I contacted a friend they should know what to do. I’m glad you are doing better!” She offered a smile as to show that she wasn’t feeling upset at Avia. “I do believe you....I am just glad he didn’t get his way with you...” at this point she didn’t feel bad for the dead man in any way. People like him really did deserve to rot. “How about we leave and let the authorities handle the rest....we should get you cleaned up....and myself as well.”

“A… TV? Hmmm, yes I guess that’s an accurate description!” he laughed, a cheerful and almost child-like sounding laugh. He’d only just recently learned what a TV was, but it sounded like a fair enough comparison.
“Oh you may- uh-” he started to say but froze as the girl sat so close to him. “er- s-sure… go ahead…” he mumbled shyly. He opened his bag– it was empty except for his notebook and the precious phone his friend Garridan had given him– and placed his book inside, taking out the notebook instead.
“My name? It’s Kasumi. Uh- K-kasumi Tenshi. May I ask yours?” he said, observing the newcomer cautiously. He hadn’t yet met a human that was so open and casual except for Kiki– yet this particular girl had something about her that he couldn’t quite place a finger on. She felt… familiar? Almost like home, which confused him. She didn’t particularly look like any angels that he knew, yet he sensed that sort of aura about her. He decided not so say anything, though, in case she really was just a bubbly human.
Nevertheless, her straightforwardness made him slightly nervous, so he was on edge.
The boy seemed to stumble on his words a bit. He seemed shy. She saw the contents of his bag when he opened it. Not much she wanted to take. She pouted a bit, and realized she was probably coming off overly confident to the boy. "Oh, Avia. Nice to meet you Kasumi." Avia decided to tone down her extroverted qualities and be kinder to him. He gave off a calmer aura, and didn't want to frighten him. She didn't know why, but she was drawn to him. He had a certain sway about him that made her want to know more about him. Possibly even befriend. Weird. She never really felt like that before, but maybe coming to Tabula Rasa could be a brand new start for her. For everything. "Sorry if I startled you." Avia scooted and gave him space. She rested her head against her hand and scrolled through her phone. She didn't want to come off as being bored now, but she couldn't help it. "So, what are you reading? Poetry? Old literature? Maybe a recipe you saved for later?" She asked Kasumi whilst she kept scrolling. She looked up at the boy waiting for his answer. She smirked and already had a feeling of what kind of being he is. It seemed pretty obvious, but wanted to see how long he'd last hanging out with a hybrid like her. Angels don't exactly get along with demons. However, she hoped he was different and would want to be her friend. She wasn't holding her breath though. As it is, no one ever sticks around her for long.

An unfamiliar presence–so it seems that Kiki wouldn’t be the one he’d meet that evening. Such a pity. He only raised a brow in response to the stranger’s comment; turning his head to get a look at the woman who stood before him. Immediately, his keen sense of smell picked up on her scent; the scent of another supernatural. Certainly not werewolf, or vampire, or magika…his eyes narrowed, and he found himself immediately on guard against this woman; though she very likely may have had her own dark sense of humor. “Ah, really? I find myself agreeing–though I understand not everyone feels quite the same way as we do. Magika in particular are drawn to such items. This is their domain, after all.” His hues flickered around the store, as if that were evidence enough of the store’s target audience. Though unprovoked, he ingrained the name into his mind. Avia Lylux. How interesting. “Stanislav Dabrowski.” The man spoke, introducing himself. He gave a dip of his head, a sign of acknowledgement; his way of shaking hands. The vampire wasn’t quite fond of touch, let alone handshakes. While he didn’t enjoy having his personal affairs invaded, he figured he would be cordial for now. “Ah, I simply had the free time. I find I rarely visit the magika’s realm, and I was looking to meet an acquaintance…however, plans change–as they very well do. How about yourself, Miss Avia?”
Something about the man agreeing with Avia made her curious about him. She couldn't quite read him. However, he seemed to have the qualities of being a dark being like herself. Right now, she decided to turn up her angel charm qualities so he would not suspect her intentions of actually stealing. "Oh, I was in the neighborhood, meeting a friend of mine, and I was about to go home for the evening when I stumbled upon this place. My curiosity lead me to look around in here." She beamed still trying to read Stanislav. He didn't seem like a threat at the moment, but she definitely was wanting to be cautious of him. She didn't know for sure what creature he was. Avia was quite intrigued with this being. She grew a bit weary of talking, but that always happened when she met new people. "So you're not a Magika? I myself aren't either. Although they seem like lovely beings." Avia made small talk, hoping Stanislav would also grow weary and want to leave the conversation so she could make her steal with some of the shiny objects. Unfortunately, Avia was growing rather annoyed. She hadn't realized how many people had entered the shop from when she had come in. "Ugh, crowds are such a bother." She rolled her eyes to signal that she was irritated. She desired the gems though. That was the only reason she was still in the shop. Her greediness was always a problem and Avia wished she could control it better. Somehow the angelic side of her was keeping her grounded though and was able to keep her composure for the time being.
Another night, ample opportunity. Stanislav awoke, confined within the darkness of his bedroom. Glancing over at his alarm clock, he notes the time. 8 pm. It was time for him to rise, but a heavy weight in his limbs told him to stay underneath the covers, to put off getting out of bed for another fifteen minutes. The vampire’s work ethic tells him otherwise. Forcing himself up, he reached over to his nightstand and began to check his phone for any missed calls, incoming text messages, emails. Noting that nothing seemed to require his immediate attention, after replying to a few emails he managed to get himself out of bed and freshened himself up. Finding that Red Rose didn’t require his presence, Stanislav wasn’t quite sure of where to go. Pixie Plates was an unusual place for him to visit, though he could visit The Veil. Maybe he could visit Little Shoppe of Wonders-? It was only to check up on Kiki, who had been released from the Hospital. Though he wasn’t sure if she were on the clock, and he would only go to check up on her. Nothing else. Driving over to the shop proved to be relatively easy, given Stanislav’s understanding of the nightlife-driven city. He knew every street, every sidewalk...once he parked, the vampire let himself out of his car and closed the door, taking a moment to enjoy the cool evening air. Letting himself inside of the Magika-dominated space proved to be fairly odd, for he had never really made it his intention to visit. After all, he had no reason for purchasing anything; but the small store offered Stanislav a sense of privacy from being overridden by curious pedestrians. Looking around, the store seemed relatively empty save for a few people. With that, Stanislav decided to have a look around. His eyes glossed over the various spellbooks, pottery and plants, crystals...even the air seemed to hang with the scent of herbs. Sensing someone else’s nearby presence, the vampire commented, not necessarily expecting a reply. “An interesting selection of gems, wouldn’t you agree? I’ve heard they have many purposes--though that’s as far as my knowledge goes.”

The girl asked her questions. Avia didn't want to be interviewed right now, but realized she had to explain herself or she'd probably get the wrong idea about her."Yeah I'm fine." She wiped her eyes and tried to put on a brave face."Yeah... I killed this bastard. For his own good. He'll have a lot of time to regret doing anything to me where he's going." She snarled at the lifeless body. She noticed the weapon still in his body. She liked collecting knives. Avia reached down to pull the sharp object from the corpse. Holding the blade in her hand she cleaned it off on her attackers blood stained shirt."I'll just take this as a souvenir." Avia smiled at the weapon. The feeling of taking a life kinda overwhelmed her. She didn't know how to feel in the moment. She couldn't remember anything when she blacked out. But both sides of her chaos and order were battling out what to feel. She felt powerful but somehow broken. Realizing that she had been quietly pondering over the knife for a while, she turned her attention back to the girl with the cat. Wanting to change the subject and forget any of this ever happened, she asked the girl a question."So who's your friend?" Avia nodded towards the creature in her arms. She crossed her arms and waited for an answer with a slight smirk on her face.
“Why did he deserve it though?....” she could see that whatever happened the female seemed to hold anger towards the body. Staring back up at the girl she took a moment to really look at her. The voice sounded eerily familiar and despite being covered in blood she was able to make out who it was. “Wait a second....Avia?!” She felt her blood run cold, what was the hybrid doing here?! She’d last seen her at Red Rose the night they’d met. After eating Avia had gone off but promised that they’d meet again, of course Kiki hadn’t expected this being the way they met. “....this is Midnight but that’s besides the point, you killed someone! I thought you said you were going to behave Avia!! Now look what you’ve done...” she didn’t know how to fix this mess. She prayed that the girl had a decent reasoning for murdering this man. Did she need to contact Elidi?

All day long Avia had been shape shifting into a little girl version of herself. She used this to beg people for money, and of course she was a master at tugging at people’s heartstrings into giving her things. Now she was back to her normal 21 year old form, and was done with stealing for the day and decided to use the money she “earned” to buy herself some nice things. She found a small store of Magika and entered it. The place was fascinating and held so many wondrous treasures within it. Curiosity overtook her and she began to spot shiny things that caught her eye. A man was standing next to them. She moved closer to examine the sparkly items.
“An interesting selection of gems, wouldn’t you agree? I’ve heard they have many purposes–though that’s as far as my knowledge goes.” The man spoke. A bit startled she was taken aback by his voice. It was eerily calm.
“Yes... I suppose so... I’d say they’re worth stealing.” Avia chuckled. The man turned to look at Avia, as if he was unsure of her. Her laughter subsided.
“I’m only kidding!” She grinned. “I find that gems are a bit overrated, and I have no desire for them.” She lied and knew that she would love take some while the man wasn’t there. However, she was bored of looking around the shop anymore, now that she found what she wanted to take, and decided to entertain a conversation with the man.
“Hi. I’m Avia. Avia Lylux. What brings you to a store like this tonight?” She smirked.

Avia had been walking through the park. Casually bumping into strangers to say sorry, but walked away with a new item from the unknowing person. She giggled to herself while making a mental note of all the things she took from others today.
“37$, a gift card to a fro yo place, and some bubble gum.” She smirked popping a piece in her mouth. “Ooh! Cherry my favorite!” She smacked the gum.
She then saw a kind looking boy sitting on a bench with his bag beside him. This guy probably has some goodies in there. He looked nice and well dressed enough to. She moved closer to him, so he wouldn’t hear her.
“A book is an adventure that you can hold in your hands. Fascinating, isn’t it?”
How could he hear me? She wondered. She always was successful in sneaking up on people and getting away with taking their belongings. She had to play along if she didn’t want to seem too suspicious.
“Uh, yeah! Like a TV in your head!” She put on her best smile and tried to come across nice, so she could get to his bag.
“Mind if I sit? Thanks!” She said without waiting for him to answer and made herself comfortable. This guy has to be naiive. I’ll get his bag of goodies in no time. She smiled sweetly at the boy, but was only trying to manipulate him into letting her see what he had in his bag.
“So what’s your name?” She acted bubbly. For some reason, however, seeing him up close made her curious what creature he was.

The girl asked her questions. Avia didn't want to be interviewed right now, but realized she had to explain herself or she'd probably get the wrong idea about her."Yeah I'm fine." She wiped her eyes and tried to put on a brave face."Yeah... I killed this bastard. For his own good. He'll have a lot of time to regret doing anything to me where he's going." She snarled at the lifeless body. She noticed the weapon still in his body. She liked collecting knives. Avia reached down to pull the sharp object from the corpse. Holding the blade in her hand she, cleaned it off on her attackers blood stained shirt."I'll just take this as a souvenir." Avia smiled at the weapon.
Avia had a bad habit of falling in love too easily. Her Angel side makes her a fool for romance. She met a guy online and started to talk with him for a while. They ended up meeting up a couple times in person around crowds. This time he wanted to take her on a spooky date. To an abandoned house. She daydreamed at the thought and agreed to go. She loved haunted places.
This was where she could be alone with him, and not around crowds. She hated being around people. But he was an exception and was intoxicated by his love. The Angel side of her grew more and more romantic with every meeting towards him. She finally got to the abandoned place and saw him. She was captivated by his appearance. They explored and had a bit of laughs for a while until they got to the top floor. "Look at this room! So cool!" She beamed. He however had other plans. He
Moved closer to her and put his hand on her waist."Hey what are you doing?" She was taken aback, but he planted a kiss on her lips. He tasted sweet and she loved every second of it."Wow that was..." She was cut off by him giving her another kiss. "Woah... I..." She tried to speak but he wouldn't let her. He grew more aggressive with it."Hey... Can you..." She couldn't get a sentence out. He pulled her in tighter and started touching her. She knew she didn't want to
Go there. She tried to resist him, but he kept going. She finally slapped him hard."What the hell is your problem?! I don't want to!" She yelled at him. He then took out a knife from his pocket and was about to stab her, but her reflexes were faster than his. She moved away and tried running. Next thing she knew, he tackled her to the ground and was about to kill her. Something inside of her lit up her demon side and she blacked out. When she woke up she stumbled
Around the room and saw a girl holding a cat in her arms. Avia's eyes were like glowing black lights, but subsided when she saw the body. She then started weeping. Not knowing what came over her. She never killed anyone before. She looked up at the girl with the cat. She then became annoyed that she looked like she was scared. Avia, felt like, in that moment her pain mattered more. She just wanted sympathy more than anything. Her face softened and waited for the girl to say something.
The shock that Kiki had felt upon first seeing the dead body slowly faded. She stood up and shone her light around the room until it landed on a female? Her guard was immediately up but she wasn’t going to needlessly attack. Seeing that the girl seemed to be crying she became concerned that maybe the girl was a victim. “Hey are you okay?.....Are you the one who killed this man? If so why?” Surely if this girl killed this man she had to have a reason? Unless she truly was someone bad and If that were the case then Kiki would likely have to fight for her life. But the other was crying, so something must have happened to cause the man to be stabbed. Blue eyes glancing to the knife handle sticking out, a weapon she could easily access if need be.

Exploring (Open Starter)
Knowing better now than to go into the woods after Elidi and her were attacked, Kiki found herself looking for new places to explore. On this particular night she found herself in a more worn down part of Tabula. She didn’t mind however and found it to be quite fascinating to see a different side of the place she now called her home. It was nighttime and the wiccan was trying to be very cautious of her surroundings, knowing that trouble could lurk at any corner. So far the area seemed to be eerily quiet but it didn’t bother Kiki one bit. That’s why when she heard a soft mew while walking past one of what seemed to be an abandoned building she stopped.
Standing still she waited to see if maybe her mind was playing tricks on her. But once again she heard another mew. Now walking up to the broken down wooden door of the entrance, she pressed her palm against it and gently pushed. It creaked open showing what seemed to be a void into pitch blackness. Once again she heard the mewing, not only was it much louder but sounded panicked. Pulling out her cell she turned on her phones flashlight. “Whoa...” this wasn’t her first time in an abandoned building but this was much larger than any she’s explored before. Scattered furniture littered the main entrance. Moving her phone around she noted a staircase and more doors, some missing that led to other rooms.
Carefully stepping around objects that laid on the floor she made her way further into the building, stopping only when she heard that the meowing was coming from up the staircase. They didn’t look sturdy at all but if there really was a cat up there or any animal in trouble she wouldn’t forgive herself if she just left. She placed her foot on the first step and slowly pressed her body weight on it. “Please don’t break...” she muttered to herself as she descended up the frail staircase. Holding her breath until she finally reached the top and sighing softly, she knew that the top floor could be dangerous as well. Shining the light she noted that the meowing was getting louder, walking down the hallway she stopped at the last room. That was where the noise was coming from, pushing open the door the wiccan shone her light around the room. By the way the walls were painted pink and the floor was littered in broken or dirty toys she guessed this had been a little girls room. “I wonder what happened....” noticing rustling from the corner of her eye she turned and gasped softly. Curled up in the corner of the room by a broken window was a small black kitten. Walking over she knelt down and used her free hand to scoop the animal up in her arms. “Hi there....you are so adorable!” She gushed, the wiccan had been wanting to get a cat but her apartment didn’t allow pets.
Maybe this was fate? Holding the cat close to her chest she began walking back down the hallway. Her light shining on the floor so she could make sure not to misstep. While walking she sees something that looks wet on the floor? Red liquid. Her eyes trail where it’s coming from and lands one of the doors to a room that’s creaked open. A chill ran down her spine as her curiosity got the best of her. Maybe it was an injured animal? Maybe the kittens mother? She gently kicked her now bloody shoe against the door fully opening it and she drops her phone in shock. “Fuck!” In the middle of the room laid a body, that’s where the red liquid was seeping from. She snatches her phone back up and wipes the blood off with her shirt. “Hey are you okay?!” She keeps the kitten secure in her arm as she kneels down and examines the body. A knife handle was sticking out of his chest and by the looks of his torn shirt he had been stabbed several times. Reaching out she pressed her hand against his neck, no pulse. But blood was still coming from his body which meant that he had to have been recently killed? She feels her entire body freeze as she hears someone else’s footsteps. In a panic she darts for the closet and quickly turns off her phone flashlight. The kitten squirming in her arms as she tries to keep it still.
