Cput Student Media conference

This year marked the 16th year for the Anual cput student  media  conference held at the Cput Granger bay campus(Hotel school).This years theme was mediatisation(how the media has changed peoples minds and different things like politics for example.

this years keynote speaker was a Cput graduate Mr Lance Witten who englithened us about the role of the media’‘the role of the media is to tell peoples stories without othering’‘.

it was an insightful event as different speakers took turns telling us how the media has influenced and changed different societies as the other role of the media is to entertain educate and inform the people,other speakers were Jeffry Onganga, Gasant Abarder, Courtney Africa and Nadine Cloete.

Jeffery Onganga is a communications officer for the Pan African parliament and he also told us how the media has had an impact on politics.
