Just a little writing assignment I did featuring Evander and Andy 😳😳

“I’m sorry, but there’s absolutely no way I’m trying out.” I said firmly. Andy sat across the table from me in our math class, looking almost offended. This was about the eighteenth time today she had asked me. “Come on, Evander! You love theater and have been doing it for years-” she groaned, dramatically collapsing onto the table, earning a few looks from people nearby. I leaned back, crossing my arms. “I love technical theater, doesn’t mean I like acting.” I huffed. “Please! It’ll be so much fun! It’s our senior year, it’s your last chance!” She looked up at me. “Andy, I don’t feel comfortable on stage.” I frowned down at her. She rolled her eyes, still with a dramatic demeanor.“And it’ll stay that way if you don’t go on stage~” she said, her voice a sing-song tone. “Look- I appreciate your concerns- or whatever, but like- I really don’t want to.” I said. She leaned forward, resting her chin on her hands. “But you’ve said it yourself- you like acting and singing, you’d have fun.” She said. She seemed so adamant, which was a bit annoying. I knew she meant well, which stopped me from being more irritated than I would normally be in this situation. “Look, I’m going to do stage managing again- I’ve done it for the past two years and it’s what I like. I don’t like attention.” I said, trying to sound set in my decision. To my surprise, she sighed and shrugged. “Fine, I’ll only be a little sad about it.” She said, sitting up and looking back at the work we were supposed to be doing. “You’ll be fine. I’ll still be around regardless, so it’s not like you won’t see me during rehearsal.” I said. “Well, maybe I don’t want to deal with bossy Evander. If you’re anything like your brother that sounds like a nightmare.” she joked, her eyes flickering back up at me. “I’m way nicer than Ried, don’t worry.” I smiled, finally beginning the work.
