okay why is helga hufflepuffs sexuality the same as me and i AM a hufflepuff

aromantic asexual godric gryffindor, polyromantic demisexual rowena ravenclaw, biromantic asexual helga hufflepuff, and aromantic pansexual salazar slytherin being queerplatonic partners (ravenclaw)

Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin grew up together, always the indomitable force of the neighborhood. Salazar would come up with what they needed or wanted, Rowena would come up with the play, Helga would distract anybody in their way, while Godric would put the plan into action. When they were young, it resulted in the four stealing any pie off any windowsill they wanted. As they grew, they started using their skills to get information and to learn what perhaps their parents didn’t want them to. Their parents were always told “the world will learn their names when they are older, aye for sure” and for once, that was very true.

Salazar was the first to realize he was aro and pan, followed closely by Rowena discovering she was polyromantic and demisexual. Nearly a decade later, Godric finally came to terms with being aroace. Helga, who’d long identify as questioning/uncaring of labels, settled on describing herself as a bi ace a year after Godric came out. It was an important part of who they were, but it was nothing compared to their adventures. The four were accomplished duellers and even enjoyed putting on practiced duels for audiences. They were ametuer magizoologists (”Helga, I can not believe it needs be said to never tickle a sleeping dragon! Common sense it should have been, nae?”) They were master wix and helped put together more than one spell, helped to create more than one potion. But what they enjoyed most of all was getting back to their fellow wix and sharing the knowledge they gained on their travels.

When their bones started creaking and night after night sleeping in tents - even their lush tents - seemed more uncomfortable than fun, the four finally thought about settling down. Rowena immediately suggested running their own school. They were immediately making plans and getting to work before they were even sure they would succeed, so excited about the idea. It was after one long night of spelling up some stairs in the massive castle they were building, relaxing with some firewhiskey, that Salazar brought up something that had been on his mind for a while. “Ye three are my closest companions and commonfolk are always telling us how we already act like we are wedded and I do not want to get wedded, but I do want to have some official commitment to ye three. Would ye agree to such a thing?”

There was a long pause before Godric started giggling at Salazar’s sappiness. Helena and Rowena shared a look, but Godric didn’t need to share the look to answer for all of them. “We already spend almost all our time naught with others. I did not believe spoken commitment twas necessary, but comrade, if ye need it, I shall give it.” And so the four each traded something of great import with each other that they kept on their person at all times to signify their queerplatonic relationship.
