completely right!!!! i would say the hatred toward hogwarts / harry potter shifters is somewhat rooted in misogyny (internalized or not) — obviously i know some people would rather not associate with harry potter because of the series' god awful creator, but to ruthlessly shun and make fun of young women and girls for wanting to shift there is beyond their rightful hatred for jkr...

i'd also like to add that this concept actually applies to multiple different aspects of shifting that are often made fun of. for example, making yourself "the main character," or making yourself one of (if not the) only girls in a group of men (because the cr media is centred around men.)

the amount of times i've seen random, innocent girls being called "pick me" for shifting to be the only girl in a boy group is genuinely ridiculous 🫩

if you use "pick me" as an insult, you've made it abundantly clear that you hate women. there is quite literally no non-misogynistic reason for anyone to make fun of a woman/girl by calling her "pick me"

Why do I feel like the stigma with girls shifting to hogwarts/Harry Potter universe has some layer to misogyny and pick me-ish/not like other girls' behavior. Maybe it's the ultra feminism inside me and overthinking, but I just feel it in my bones cause we all know how people(even women themselves) be like when a teenage girls like anything

hey, i don't mind answering at all <3 i appreciate the curiosity and not, like, an accusation that i'm not a lesbian or something 😭

i'm a lesbian here, yes. i just don't feel anything for men, no matter how hard i may try to force myself to. now, men that i will absolutely never encounter in this reality... that's another story. that i can safely romanticize without reality crushing down on me. so, i get very attached to unattainable men and those end up being the ones that i feel the most connection to in any given reality and therefore want to shift for. so, in my drs, i'm usually into men. i know they're real and very much attainable in my dr, but not in this reality where i'm a lesbian, y'know? i think i just have so much love to give and it, personally, feels like limiting myself to only consider women as partner's, especially when the people i hold nearest and dearest to my heart are usually men (unfortunately, possibly a side effect of comphet). it's the same way people change their gender in their drs, but they're still what they identify with here. i know with certainty that i'm a lesbian, but not in every reality. i hope this clears it up for you a bit, i tried my best to explain!

how do you juggle / keep track of all the drs you have? /gen

the most simple answer is: i don't! so many of my drs i don't even have a concept of a script in my mind, i just know i want to shift there at some point in time.

otherwise, i usually focus on a handful of drs at the time based on my current hyperfixation. at the moment, that would be zerobaseone, so i have a lot of zb1-focused drs that are considered my "mains." i'm also getting back into marvel, so i have a few drs that stand out and that i actively script for along with my zb1 drs.

i also just have a pretty good memory when it comes to my drs/script, so even if i don't have everything written down, i normally can easily remember main details about my realities.
